This pack is perfect for a grown man. I'm 54, 6'1" and 220lbs...and it looks like this pack belongs on my shoulder. It holds a lot of weight without issue and the color blends into the background quite easily. The fabric is tougher than me and doesn't mind moisture...it moves with my movements without resistance and is a pleasure to carry. The inside side pocket without the flap holds a RooGrr three five seven in it's iwb perfectly snug. The adjustable, one-handed flap for opening is genius and the drawstring closure is quite useful. The only thing I'd add would be one D-ring on the outside to clip a water bottle, hat or tie a bandanna to. Food for thought.
I would rate 5 stars, if I understood the story behind the cut portion of top tab both side. There must be wonderful story, I believe. Anyway, I love this simple backpack.
No complaints here. I ordered two weather proof bags and both arrived with no notable defects. They are rugged, durable and really feel like my grandkids would get 100 years of use out of them. I recommend Saddleback Leather products to all my friends.
