The Dark Coffee Brown Leather Desk Pad is one of those things that seems like a luxury until you actually start using it. Now I wouldn’t want my desk without it.

Sometimes the simplest products make the biggest difference. I put this Dark Coffee Brown Leather Desk Pad on my desk and immediately wondered why I hadn’t bought one years ago.

It’s a beautiful piece of leather with enough weight and substance that it feels like part of the desk rather than something sitting on top of it. My laptop, keyboard, mouse and notebook all have plenty of room, and the leather provides a much nicer surface to work on.

What I really like is that it doesn’t need to stay pristine. A desk pad is supposed to be used, and this one looks better as it develops character. I expect mine will tell quite a story after a few years.

It gives my keyboard and mouse a substantial, comfortable work surface while completely changing the look of my desk. The DCB leather is beautiful—deep, rich, and professional without looking overly polished or corporate. The size gives me plenty of working room, and the construction is exactly what I expect from Saddleback.

I got mine yesterday, and it looks beautiful on my desk. Fits in perfectly with the Moleskine notebook and large portfolio. It seems to be solid quality like everything else I’ve received from Saddleback.

It's a very nice desk pad. Each corner is fastened with a button so it stays perfectly in shape and does not bend whatsoever. In fact it hasn't even moved from the very place I placed it the very first time (meaning it doesn't slide). It does scratch kind of easily but it really doesnt make me any indifferent to how much I like it. It also smells like leather should smell, which was important in my decision making on selecting a desk pad. It also writes extremely well, the top surface is quite hard but not hard enough like a hard surface, and it makes you and your desk feel warmer because you aren't putting your wrists on a cold desk.

This is the second large desk pad I have purchased. The first one I have used for years at work (and it still looks new). The second one is for my home office. There is nothing better to write on than a leather desk pad. If you are considering the purchase, you won't be disappointed.

The color is exactly like all the other tobacco products...nice when new but amazing with age and use. I am sure that in time it will be as amazing as my 9 year old notebook cover.

My only critique is that this may be great for a laptop but for a full size keyboard it is a bit cramped. I love it tremendously though and will adapt my desk and operations to fit.

I use this to protect one of my table tops from a collectible that lifts away the varnish. The color matches well to the wood. I wish I could get more of these in custom sizes.

Another winner

I have a hundred year old desk with a deep red finish and this desk pad is beyond beautiful. The longer I own it the greater it looks. The size is perfect--plenty of room for my large note pad holder, post it notes, fountain pens.....��I live at my desk and could not think of a better office addition.

Ordered the medium pad for a MacBook, and the smaller one was placed right next to it, and serves as a mousepad. The chestnut color is a nice contrast to a dark wooden desk, and with the glass top the combined total seems to really pop. The leather has a deep, rich look, lays very flat and adds a nice texture, and beefiness to the mix. The sizing is spot on, and if you spend quite a bit of time at your desk, these pads should definitely be in your future. I wasn't disappointed, and I don't think you will be either. Oh, and let's not forget that legendary Saddleback smell.

Excellent desk pad

I absolutely love my DCB leather desk pad. I've had a couple of desk pads (SBL and otherwise) over the years, but this one has the perfect balance of weight (it's super solid), give (it responds well when writing), and style (it's elegant but rugged at the same time... how does that happen?!).

Even in a virtual, Zoom world, I always make sure to have a little bit of my SBL showing on my camera - I continue to get comments about it (and my notepads!) from my co-workers... I'll convert everyone at my company soon, I'm sure.

It definitely will scratch up a bit as you use it - some may not like that, but I think it gives the pad character. I did use a sticky note on it once and it pulled a little bit of the dye, so I just put sticky notes on other things before writing on the pad. But It's a minor nit on an overall great product.

I have a ton of Saddleback products and this is by far my favorite piece so far. This is a beautiful piece of leather. This will be a piece that I have on my desk for the rest of my life (or somewhere else if I don't have a desk). This is a nice big piece of leather and it could be used for more than just a desk (top of your dresser, other work spaces, etc. etc.). I would certainly buy this again.
