The Drawstring Bucket Leather Backpack is made from full-grain (i.e. super tough!) leather. This backpack is made from the highest quality material and will prove to be extremely durable over time because it has been crafted to the highest quality standards in Old Mexico.

Materials

Unlike our hair, cows are waterproof, right? That’s because the top part of their hide has tightly woven fibers. Our leather is produced keeping all of the natural grain intact (the reason it is called full-grain leather). No scars are shaven or sanded off because that process leaves only a small portion of the grain intact (which is known as top-grain leather). Because full-grain leather is the strongest cow leather on the planet (and the most beautiful in our opinion) that is why we choose to use it. This Drawstring Bucket Leather Backpack is made with quality for many years of use. It has antique brass hardware.

As you all probably already know, I get lots of requests from our fans and they often give me some great inspiration and that’s the case with the Love 41 Drawstring Bucket Leather Backpack. When someone asked me for a drawstring bag I loved the idea, but didn’t want to limit such a beautiful design to just one purpose so we created this to be multifunctional – both a drawstring bag AND a backpack! I love that it can be used in either configuration and I think you’ll love it too!     Drawstring Bucket

    I was hesitant to order this bag for a long time because I love the look of a bucket bag and the function but don’t like how wide they are when you wear them crossbody. Loving the look so much and taking advantage of the sales promotion I went ahead and got it. Oh my gosh this bag is perfection for me because though it is a bucket bag, it’s got a slim profile. I love that! Whether I wear it like a backpack OR crossbody it doesn’t stick out in that awkward way. It looks beautiful on. I also appreciate that it is fully lined so no babying this one. It has a key keeper and one pocket inside yet it’s structured so you can easily see all your contents. It’s still got that fabulous bucket style but built in a more functional way. I got the tobacco and I love the rustic look of the tobacco next to the suela. Really stunning. I’ve been wearing it as a shoulder bag and it’s super convenient to get in and out of it but you can also wear as a backpack or crossbody with a couple quick adjustments. I think this one is amazing because of its style AND functionality. Five stars! Whoop!

    Flexible!

    I bought this bag in February 2021. I absolutely love it. The feature I appreciate the most are the straps. They convert easily from tote to crossbody to backpack. I’ve carried it a lot and it still looks new.

    I’m In Love!

    Purchased this beauty in Chestnut and I’m In Love! For the last 8 months I have been carrying the Mini Backpack but found it challenging to carry my new Love41 Journal cover with my existing items. So, I decided to take the plunge with this beauty despite my being nervous about it not having a flap. Moving sale price helped to convince me to. It is so versatile! I only attached 2 straps: short carry strap and one back pack strap attached like a sling (top right D ring to bottom left D ring). Voila! Inside I carry my stuffed Love 41 red clutch with miscellaneous items, red wristlet wallet, Saddleback Front Wallet and Pencil / Pen bear-claw pouch, Love 41 journal cover that covers my watercolour journal as well as my Schmincke watercolour palette, brushes with pouch, cellphone, hand sanitizer, 2 chunky sets of keys on the fob, Swell thermos and water container to clean my brushes. I still have at least 50 % of unused space! Oh, Love 41 lip balm holder is clipped to the D ring on the side. At first, I wouldn’t give this bag the time of day because there’s no cover nor a zipper to protect the items inside. However, when out shopping, I place my wallet in the outside pocket against my back. Basically, everything inside is in a pouch so for me this works. As to weight, my back is real sensitive to weight and with this back pack as a sling, so far so good! Versatile ways to carry. It’s a cinch… the bag and my decision to call this my new EDC. I’m happy!

    In love

    I have the simple backpack from Saddleback and I love it. It's fairly large and I use it when I have a lot of items to pack. This bag is much smaller and a perfect edc. The dark coffee is gorgeous (as usual). I love the contrast with the suela.
    It also has amazing pull-up and natural wrinkles. I was lucky enough to snag from Suzette's steals and cannot find a flaw. It's a work of art. I hope I can refrain from purchasing in another color.

    Perfect size for every day

    I have or have had nearly all the Love 41 backpacks and several from Saddleback, including the original bucket backpack. So, when I saw this one, I figured I didn't need it.

    Boy was I wrong! It's the perfect size for my daily carry and it's super cute and stylish. As a backpack person I never felt the urge to try a pretty aftermarket strap until I got this bag, but it's so light I got one and I also love this bag as a shoulder carry, super rare for me! I love how it holds its shape, has a flat bottom, and pockets on the inside and outside back panel. And it's great that it is fully lined so I can put things in there like sunblock, snacks or drinks without worrying that it would stain or be hard to clean.

    Definitely give this bag a try if you want something versatile, light and mid-sized. It's a great bag that I will enjoy carrying for a long time to come!
