There is no luck in creating a quality leather backpack, especially when it has to last for 100 years. Every detail of the design and materials of this leather backpack has been planned because even a billion dollar submarine is worthless if it has a cardboard hatch. No expense was spared.
There are no breakable parts like zippers, snaps or buttons and all stress points are reinforced with rivets or hidden straps. We use giant pieces of leather because seams are a common point of failure for leather backpacks. So we have as few as possible and sew them at only 5 stitches per inch so there's more leather between each needle hole. And it's comfortable. If it weren't, we wouldn't get the great reviews we do.
Umm...maybe we killed a fly with a shotgun, but we build our leather backpacks with expensive super strong materials. Our leather is thicker than boot leather and is the strongest grade there is (full grain). We glue and sew pigskin leather (tougher than cowskin) to line it and we sew it with a thick German double ought industrial Polyester thread. Our custom hardware for our leather backpacks is very expensive and very hard. One of the strongest in the world.
If your life has to depend on a leather backpack, let it depend on ours.
