This leather duffle bag is over-engineered with no breakable parts like zippers, snaps, buttons etc. and is reinforced at all stress points with rivets and hidden polyester strapping. It’s built with just one solid piece of leather to reduce seams. And we sew at only 5 stitches per inch so there’s more leather between the needle holes and fewer holes to start a tear.
Our cow leather is the strongest we can find (full grain boot leather, but thicker) and the removable liner is covered in pigskin lining, which is stronger than the cow leather. The thread is unbelievably strong industrial marine grade UV resistant polyester thread and our custom hardware is the amazing 316 Stainless Steel (please please google it). It’s the metal of choice when your life depends on it. There’s no other travel bag like it.
It comes with a built in handle and a top handle for when it’s in tote mode and a build on handle for when it’s rolled closed. It can be rolled or folded over to whatever height is needed or left open to be used as a tote. The three straps can be pulled tight to compress it small. When the top is rolled, it becomes watertite, but don’t submerge it. And the straps have a hole at the very tip, just in case you way overstuff it.
Exterior: 14" W x 18" H (unfolded) x 8" D
Shoulder strap adjusts long from 34" - 59”
- One Piece Duffle Bag Inspiration
I was in a little Tunisian medina on the edge of the Sahara, when I saw it, an old old leather bag, and it was for sale. I thought it was absolutely the coolest bag I’d ever laid eyes on, not only because of the aged looking leather, but because it was made of only one solid piece, folded around and sewn to itself. The top just folded over and it closed. I thought, “Man, that is so cool. I’m going to make me something like this one day.” And then I did something that I still regret to this day. I mean, I really don’t have many regrets in life, but this is one of the big ones. I put that bag back down on the table and I walked away. Why didn’t I buy it?!!! Ahhhhh!!! I’m so stupid sometimes. But anyways, that bag is what inspired this Travel Bag, And as I got more into picture taking, I bought a nicer camera and some lenses, and I thought, “You know, it’s time to make that one bag that’s dustproof and keeps things dry.” And voila! Out popped the One Piece Leather Duffle Bag.
