Our Full Grain Leather is Key

This wallet was constructed with full-grain leather. Let me explain why that's so important. Leather is like a roof. You have the wood decking and then the shingles. The grain of the leather is the 25% of the top layer of the hide and is the strongest, most resistant to stains and water and has the densest tightly woven leather fibers of the leather. It's like the shingles on the roof. Without the grain, the roof will leak because the wood beneath it will resist, but not for long. The top layer of the leather also has all of the marks of the life of the cow.&&So, the low quality leather wallet companies shave off the scars so they will not have to cut around the scars and therefore save money by using almost every square inch of the hide. But in doing so, they shave off the longest lasting and toughest part that leather is famous for. We WANT as much grain as we can get on our leather wallets, so we cut around the scars and blemishes and throw that leather into the trash.

best wallet ever

I bought this wallet (dark coffee brown color) nearly 9 years ago. I have used it every day since, every day I've gone out anyway, which is the large majority of days. It was beautiful when it arrived and it looks at least as good now as it has softened and smoothed with use. Every corner and edge is solid and every stitch is intact and tight. I apply a little leather conditioner a couple times a year, but that's the only care it needs. It is wonderfully durable, beautifully crafted, practical, and a pleasure to use. I also appreciate that it is RFID-resistant. Recently I added a set of clear plastic sleeves to allow easy display of ID and a couple photos (the model I have doesn't have a window card slot.) None of the many other wallets I've owned over the years has come close to lasting as long as this one, or looking as good.

Time to write this review

I have daily worn this wallet for three years now, so I believe I have earned the right to properly give my experienced based thoughts about this wallet. First let me begin by explaining how my profession involves a lot of labor-based activities while dealing with the brutal heat of SW Florida so it is safe to say I have tested this wallet extensively while in the worst conditions. I had my initial doubts about this wallet because I have been let down so many times previously with other companies swearing, they have the best quality. I was surprisingly happy when I first received the wallet and was able to examine the quality and was relieved, I wasn’t ripped off again. Through the years I noticed that the wallet has aged beautifully and like I mentioned before I did not baby it or even treat the leather. I’m an avid boater so it’s safe to say this wallet has been exposed to the ocean water serval times and even has been used as a tic tac tow board with my daughter as we use our nail to scratch x’s and o’s into the front and back of the wallet with our nail while we wait for food at a restaurant… I also have a horrible problem with jamming way too much junk in all the sleeves and was always scared that it would stretch them out so far, they wouldn’t be able to even hold a single card, that has yet to happen and always remain firm from going to three cards in a slot to one. This wallet is simply and beautiful tank of a wallet that I would bet anything that it holds up for decades from now even with my relentless abuse. I wish I had the option to upload some pictures of this thing because I’m not kidding.

Medium bifold wallet

Best wallet iv owned. Thick and sturdy. Holds all my debt and credit cards, ID and work ID. The monogram is a nice touch. Looking forward to using it the rest of my life. Very satisfied. I bought a few for my friends as well and they all are impressed with the craftsmanship.

Great Wallet

Purchased two of these wallets in different shades of brown as gifts. The quality is excellent and the recipients were thrilled with them. . As with all good quality leather it will just take a bit of use for them to soften a bit.
