Best Briefcase Yet, Miss the Cigar Slot

This is my 3rd Saddleback briefcase and I absolutely love it. The hinged opening is perfect. My only gripe is that I miss the cigar tube slot from my front pocket briefcase. It looks like it totally could have made the cut, here. Don't know why that it didn't. This is also my second bag with the extra flap to create the hidden compartment at the bottom and, as opposed to my original briefcase, this one tucks nicely underneath the organization pockets on the outside flap, so that it doesn't curl up, revealing it's existence. In retrospect, I wish I had gone with the Flight Bag Briefcase, as I didn't need something so wide, but that's totally on me. The bag is outstanding!

    Best Court Bag

First, I hope the smell when I open this thing never goes away. It is absolutely just amazing. That being said, this is by far the best bag/briefcase that I have ever owned. I am prone to carry way more than I need when I go to court, and this thing can carry it all. A giant laptop, an extra screen, legal sized redwells, and various other odds and ends fit without a problem. The ‘fish mouth’ opening style of the main compartment is great for loading and unloading, but also for just finding things that you put in the pockets along the sides. Everything seems extremely well made, and it should be the last courtroom case that I have to buy. It really is the perfect size. Anything bigger than this you would want it on wheels, which was not the look and feel I wanted. I got the Dark Brown Coffee color which looks exactly like the one in the picture. So far, absolutely no complaints.

    Best Briefcase. Period.

I've owned several Saddleback bags, and this is by far the best briefcase they've made. It's the best combination of design features: Saddleback durability, spacious storage, Gladstone opening, and useful pockets and pouches. I wanted a larger Flight Bag and they delivered. Now there is plenty of room for a laptop, binders, file folders, and gadget bags. I love how it looks. It sits flat on the floor, without any "leaning" forward. Just a brilliant product all around. I've bought the last briefcase I'll ever need.

    Great Lawyer's Briefcase

I just got my bag (#13/50) and stopped for a minute to smell it before it came out of the box. Love that great Saddleback Leather design, look, and smell of quality. All looks good, the color (Chestnut for me), the hardware, the dividers on the inside, and the carrying strap. I have it sitting on my table in my office as a talking point. It will join my Thin Front Pocket briefcase and my Large Classic Briefcase as a triple threat and choice of size anytime I leave the office. Great bag, great size, and love the Gladstone opening style that will work well in the courtroom or for depositions. Congrats to Dave and team in creating another lifetime briefcase.

As a lawyer, this is the bag I recommend

I absolutely love it. As a lawyer, this is the bag I recommend because this bag is big enough for all legal needs, while not being too big or unwieldly. Saddleback nailed it with the size for legal documents. This briefcase is long enough so that it can easily fit legal sized documents and tall enough for binders. This has the rugged and classic look Saddleback is known for, and this bag nails the professional look for the courtroom. The Gladstone closing means that the bag will stay open when you want it to stay open, and wont have that classic “lean” that other older briefcases have. The Gladstone opening also means that there isn’t a large flap that gets in the way or knocks everything over when the bag is opened. The inside is divided in the middle with large flap pockets on the outside, with three smaller pockets to help organize pens, highlighters, business cards, thumb drives, post its, or anything else you may need for a deposition, mediation, or trial. I have been using a discontinued XL Classic Briefcase because that was the only Saddleback bag that would comfortably fit legal documents and file buckets. This new Barrister’s Briefcase fits everything I need, and highlights the best of Saddleback’s reputation for over engineering bags and improves every aspect of the XL Briefcase. This is exactly the bag I was looking for. Also, the black leather looks sharp!
