    Bear Trap Leather Pen Case

My wife bought this pen case for me after the snap-ring in my favorite Waterman Fountain Pen broke, and the cap would no longer snap securely onto the barrel of the pen. I think this case is great! I can drop my fountain pen into the case, then drop the pen case into my Indiana Satchel or my Saddleback brief case with nary a care that the cap will come off and leak ink all over the place. And I’ll admit, every once in a while, I’ll just open the empty case and hold it up to my nose to enjoy a quick whiff of high quality full grain leather. The dimensions of my case are a little different, at 7.25”x3.75x0.20, but even if it were a little longer or narrower, I would still think it’s a great case.

    Multi-use case

I didn’t buy it to keep writing utensils in despite it is where I keep my trusty Sharpie. It works great to keep both my trusty multi-tools together and ready to go for whatever the day throws at me.

    Stores cash perfectly

Based on the dimensions I bought this to discretely store cash during a vacation. Worked perfectly.

    Not What I expected

The bear trap opening is well designed. The leather is great but it wasn't what I was looking for. Mostly my fault as I purchased on impulse and didn't research it enough. The case is great for organization within a briefcase or backpack. If you have any high quality writing instrument this case is not for you. You would be better off looking at a single pen sleeve as this case is too big.

    Bear Trap Leather Pen Case

I purchased the Bear Trap Leather Pen Case to keep my every day Fountain Pen, Ballpoint Pen & Mechanical Pencil that I use every day in when I am done using them for the day. The Saddleback Leather is excellent as always, however, the case itself, the length is way too long for the Instruments that I use, and the way I like to rest them. It is even too long for a Mont Blanc Oversize 149 Fountain Pen, and, if am using my Parker Diplomat, the Ballpoint & Mechanical Pencil get lost in the depth of the Bear Trap. Needless to say, 2 or 3 Instruments slid around inside. No loops to retain the Pens. I will say the Saddleback Bear Trap Leather Pen Case makes a Perfect Eye Glass Case for standard type Glasses, and even as a Case for Eye Glasses it is a tad too long.
