    I absolutely love it.

I love the design. It works really well when I just want to take my wallet and a few little things and do not want to carry a big bag. I found it wonderful for while we were on vacation and walking around. The only thing that bothered me a little was the strap when I extended it to use longer. I was unable to put it through the loop and it flopped around. overall I love it an plan I purchasing for my daughters.

    More Accurately 4.5 Stars

I have the Kohora in Chestnut, and it's the perfect medium sized purse for me. Simple and rustic, it actually looks better if it's stuffed, and this purse holds quite a bit! The double ring placement on the strap doesn't bother me as others have mentioned. What does drive me a bit batty is that the strap flap doesn't stay secure in the loop. One of these days I'm going to find a way to secure it, but otherwise, I love the bag. Great size and simple to get in and out of. :)

    Expect flaws

2.5 stars. I like Love41 and Saddleback, but Im not a “fangirl , and as a floor nurse, I work *really hard* for my money, so I expect quality when I spend. I've actually talked to Susan on the phone while ordering and she was great; it really nice to experience an owner actually working on the front lines of her company! But I've found that usually neutral or negative reviews aren't posted, so let's see what happens: Let's start with the positives: this is a great, rustic looking bag that even your guy might snag for fishing or the range etc...so watch out :). Nice leather, softens up with wear, roomy for the size, ages handsomely and the back pocket is great for smartphones. I've had mine a few years now, in both Tobacco and Black--which it appears they no longer carry, sadly ("dusty carbon"), and I like them much more now, than when I got them…they look better with wear, you just have to get over that first six-months or so of a the new bag. As it is though, I cant recommend the Koroha. These are my gripes: --The strap: everything about needs to be redesigned: 1) It's unfinished on the underside, so while wearing black clothing (which I wear often), little shavings/bits from the underside of the tobacco strap came off onto my clothes. I'm sure the black bag did this too, but was more difficult to notice. 2) The double D-ring adjustment is poorly placed, is bulky and digs into my shoulder. It was so poor, that I took it to a leathersmith to replace it with a buckle. I'm 5'5. He was able to fix it the best he could given the length of the strap, but placement is still not ideal so I usually only carry these bags as clutches. 3) The strap stretches. Because there is no stitching or backing to reinforce the strap (it's just one piece of plain leather), it stretches over time. Again, I asked a leathersmith to fix this by stitching along the outside of the strap. The corners: Pay attention to the corners of the bag: one corner is more pointed, the other is more rounded. Supposedly, after shipping a replacement and talking to a CS member at Love41, this is part of the design of the bag. Im sorry though, it really just looks sloppy. If it's part of the design, then why isn't it mentioned in the description?—whats the purpose/thought process behind it?—maybe that would make a great story and help with sales? Stitching: I saw a total of 4 bags as I went through the return/exchange process and 3 of them had uneven/crooked stitching. I was told that it would work itself out as the bag is worn and the leather stretches, I wouldn't even notice (for real?!) Stretching leather doesnt remedy uneven stitching…its there permanently, for the life of the item. After I mentioned that the bag was over $100 and expecting even stitching isn't unreasonable, the CS rep then told me that it sounds like the Koroha wasn't for me...so that makes me wonder what kind of quality is being sold...I hope we all expect even stitching...at the very least. Proceeds may be donated, which is awesome, but I'm still spending money and I expect quality. Items fall out: This applies to any bag with a flap closure, but just be aware that small items can fall out of the Koroha. Little things like chap-stick or a pen would be best secured in a small pouch if you plan on tossing the bag around.

Perfect little purse that's even better in combo with the simple tote!

Love this sweet, simple little purse! Soft, buttery leather, very light, folds down super small which makes it a great travel purse to pack into a larger suitcase, and it's just the right amount of space for a phone, a few essentials when you don't want to be weighed down. My favorite thing about it is how well it works with the Simple Tote, which is my go-to bag most days since I usually carry too much stuff to fit in this little guy. I leave the strap unclipped and rolled in the bottom of the tote and use the Koroha to organize my essentials in this bag - phone, charger, pills, makeup, etc. That means it also works perfectly as a "break-away" purse if I have been out all day and want the tote for larger items (say, a beach towel) but want to leave that in my car and just take a smaller bag into dinner at a restaurant. I have both in Tobacco right now and am seriously thinking about getting a second set in Dark Coffee.

Bad strap design ruins this great little crossbody bag

Cutting to the chase here… I love the bag part of the Koroha but the strap design on this is NOT GOOD. Im using the strap from my previously purchased cosmetic bag with the Koroha and that works. Otherwise I would have been very disappointed with this purchase. My concerns about the Koroha strap: the D rings dig into my shoulder or my back even when the bag is empty, so its not a weight thing; the riveted leather loop is locked in place so it cannot be adjusted so as to properly secure that flapping piece of leather which means… flapping! I contacted customer service before purchasing the Koroha with my concerns about the strap and they suggested that I also consider using the Koroha as a fanny / waist pack- an idea that sounded good to me. I tried that and it DOES NOT WORK. At the shortest possible strap length it falls down off my waist (and Im not a small waisted woman!) and ugh… that long flapping leather piece drives me crazy. Please Love41 change the strap design on this one.
