    Well worth a buy

Fantastic buy. I used to have a paperback pocket constitution, but they inevitably grow ratty, and disintegrate. However, this one is real sturdy, and looks great to boot. It's nice to have a high-quality version of a text that's so important-like the Bible or the Constitution. I carry mine every day.

    Perfection

First and foremost, I personally believe that this is the most important document ever written. No, I said document, I don’t consider the Bible to be a document. Now, that having been cleared up, I think that every American should at least have if not carry, a copy of this document. It is that important at least to me. As for this particular piece, it’s Saddleback. It’s perfect. Thick, soft beautiful leather. Convenient size, easily read durable edition. Is $40 expensive for this? Not to me. I’ll cherish it. Highly recommend

    Great Quality, BAD EDITING.

The build quality is excellent, as I have come to expect from SBL. However, I do not like the editing of the Constitution. Certain passages are incorrectly denoted as, "changed," such as the unconstitutionality of direct taxes. Once again, this is an editing issue. This is not originalist.

Needs to include the Declaration of Independence

Given the imminent national elections, this leather bound Constitution is a timely and worthy reminder of the freedoms fought for and sacrifices made during the history of our great nation. And there can be no doubt that we are now very much in danger of losing those God given freedoms. Like all I have bought from SBL, it is impeccably executed in print, paper and leather. My only suggestion is that the Declaration of Independence should have been included with it. I have a copy of a paperback Constitution printed at the time of the Bicentennial of the Constitution several decades ago. There are two quotes there that I think are applicable. First from Alexander Hamilton, 1775 - "The sacred rights of mankind are not to be rummaged for, among old parchments, or musty records. They are written, as with a sun beam in the whole volume of human nature, by the hand of the divinity itself; and can never be erased or obscured by mortal power." Which brings me to the second quote, which is the reason why I feel the Declaration of Independence should be included with this leather bound printing. "The Declaration of Independence was the promise; the Constitution was the fulfillment." They go hand and hand.

    Perfect!

I have carried a copy of the Constitution with me in my flight suit for a few years now and had to buy this as soon as it came out! Very well made and does justice to the most important document ever written.
