Materials

Unlike our hair, cows are waterproof, right? That's because the top part of their hide has tightly woven fibers. Our leather is produced keeping all of the natural grain intact (the reason it is called full-grain leather). No scars are shaven or sanded off because that process leaves only a small portion of the grain intact (which is known as top-grain leather). Because full-grain leather is the strongest cow leather on the planet (and the most beautiful in our opinion) that is why we choose to use it.

The story behind the Lanita Leather Backpack

Like most of you, I love anything that's been handmade. Quite a while back, we had a Lana line of products that were incredibly popular and many of you have been asking us to bring some Lana items back again. Well, they're finally here and the Love 41 Lanita Backpack is the first item in our lineup. This is the first time we've combined lots of our beautiful Love 41 leather with handcrafted Lana. With this design, the leather is most prominent, but adds Lana as a gorgeous accent and provides a one-of-a-kind look that I think you'll love as much as we do! Remember these are hand-loomed lana pieces so there will be some variances in the Lana material.
