I bought a Thin Briefcase 8 years ago and it's been fantastic. For several years, I've been looking for a large duffle for travel. I have a bison leather overnight bag but have wanted something larger. The Beast was too much and the waterbag and Baby Beast too small. As soon as I saw this, I jumped on it. It is precisely what I wanted - the same rugged, utilitarian and bullet proof concept that drew me to my briefcase (which still gets used/abused today). The review is initial - just initial quality - but I'm happy to report it's the same high quality as my briefcase (I was a bit concerned since manufacturing had moved from USA to Mexico). But no need to worry. It's fantastic - well stitched; quality, thick leather. Can't wait to use, abuse, scar this thing and watch the patina turn it into something beautiful. Congratulations and 'Well Done' on an exceptional product. If there were an option to upload pics I would do it.
I have so many Saddleback bags....but there was always a 'gap.' The Beast is wonderful! And the Doctor's Duffle is too. But the bags between the two were pretty much the same size. All in the 18'-20' range. So, I could load everything in the Beast, or much less in the smaller bags. This one is the bridge bag! Perfect for the wonderful in-between size. Just right! And of course, it is drop-dead beautiful! Thanks, Dave! Great move!
