    Not Excatly like first video

Beast is very well built. My wife went off the first video that you can use it as a backpack. They have discontinued that version. We used the bag for the very first time it was a nightmare. Yea not good with a handle and shoulder strap when you have more baggage to carry and have 3 girls. We had to sprint to get an airport cart and sprint back to the car to get the luggage then get everyone together to get back into the terminal and going through the parking structure then drop it for checking in. Worse when we landed and picking up a rental. Hopefully the can bring back the backpack version. Might put it back n feeBay.

The beast 10+ years and going strong

I've had my beast since 2012, purchased as a Dave's Deals with no noticeable issues. It works really well for holding 30 days worth of clothing. When not being used for travel it also works very well for storing other items.

    Close, but no cigar

A couple of somewhat serious flaws, IMHO. Too big to check without possibly paying some pretty high fees for oversized baggage, and cold really use a shoulder/carrying strap.

    Backpack straps or bust

I've had the older design of this bag for around five years now. I can't imagine owning and using this bag without the backpack straps. Unless you pack it with pillows, I honestly can't imagine someone carrying this with just one handle. It's 12lbs EMPTY. Filling this with enough volume to consider it "full" this bag (for me) would weight around 50-55lbs. That's a bit extreme to call it a duffel and carry it as such. Unless you use it as a trunk for storage in your car, or in your home, I have a hard time believing someone could use this as a duffel. I took this thing through airports and without a cart (or the awesome backpack straps) it would have been a PAIN to lug around. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful bag. Well designed, well made. Compliments everywhere. I'm glad I have it. I just wouldn't want to use it if I didn't have the backpack straps. That's the only reason this design gets 4 stars. I would give MY design 5 stars, because the backpack straps make this a very useable and gorgeous bag.
