    Barrister's Briefcase

I recently received my dark coffee barristers briefcase and as advertised, it is well built, robust and heavier than other briefcases I have owned in the past. I am not concerned with the weight as it is due to the top quality leather used to make the briefcase. I am an Attorney in New York City and I recently took the barrister briefcase to court on its maiden voyage and got a lot of comments and questions from my colleagues about the briefcase. This briefcase can hold a lot of items. I filled my briefcase with my entire case file that is in a red well folder, a Saddleback large leather portfolio, other files, writing pads, my lab top and my calendars. I used the shoulder strap and it do a great job of reliving any shoulder strain from carrying the briefcase. I am very impressed with my barrister briefcase, so much so, that I am donating my other briefcases to Goodwill. Great design, great quails and craftsmanship. This is the last briefcase I will need. Thank you Saddleback. Happy Holidays.

    Barrister's Briefcase

Incredibly well made. Smells great. Its a large bag and has some weight. Was considering the Flight Bag also but glad I went Barrister. Seems very open inside compared to other cases I've owned so getting some accessories to make compartments so small things don't slide around. Want to get some conditioner for the hide to accelerate the patina and protect from unnecessary scratching. They will fight over it when I'm gone.

    Strong Litigator's Bag

I am a litigator in court every week frequently with multiple appearances per day. I needed a bag that could fit multiple files. This beast fits the bill. My prior brief case started breaking on the handle and the should strap started to tear where the strap meets the bag because I sometimes carry a lot of weight. This bag is clearly built to last. Pros: Love the open top with no flap. Roomy for multiple redwells and laptop. The rivets and buckles on the handle and shoulder strap seem strong. Gorgeous leather, thick, smooth and deep color. Looking forward to seeing it age. Cons: It is bulky, heavier and wider back to front than expected. I wish it had more internal pockets and dividers for pens and pads, laptop power charger, and business cards. I will probably buy some kind of pouch to hold small items. I like the false bottom as it serves a file divider, but not sure yet what to put under it. Last, the shoulder strap is too long. I am 6 foot tall but had to adjust the strap to be shorter and the tail of the long piece sticks out pretty far. For the price, I think it is a good investment, although I don't know if I would have bought it had I seen it in person first. Overall, strong litigator's bag, gorgeous leather, built to last. I've received several comments and looks as people observe the new piece (my old one was also memorable). Clearly this litigator means business. Best, Mike

    Classy. Durable. Heavy AF.

I’m not a lawyer. I’m a banker and this bag is exactly what I was looking for. I needed something that could potentially hold two laptops and not look like it is busting at the seams. I have my personal MacBook and work laptop in here and I still have so much room left! I looked at luxury brands like LV, Gucci, etc… and their briefcases were super tiny and dainty looking. I ordered this briefcase in black as I think it’s the most professional color (for my taste). Highly recommend. Just be forewarned that this briefcase is very heavy!

    Beautiful and well made ?

I’ve just received the barrister’s briefcase (chestnut). It is the most beautiful briefcase I’ve seen, and that new leather smell is great. It’s not (hey-look-at-that-guy that’s too) big: it’s bigger than the average suitcase, but not too much. The size is right for business use and small trips. And the structure is rigid, so it looks full even when empty; that’s not a drawback: you don’t want a sad briefcase. The strap is good for busy places if you’re worried of getting robbed. The weight isn’t too much. I was between this and the pilot’s case, and I thought I would regret the choice, but I have not. I may still get that one at some point in the future. One tip for the Gladstone closure is to close it by lightly pressing the hinges on the side. Great briefcase.
