    Exceptional quality

I've gone through four different leather bags from other companies, and regret not just going straight to this one. Absolutely exceptional quality, and worth every penny. You can pay less with other bags, but they will inevitably fall apart and you'll end up paying way more in the end. Just skip all of that and go with this bag. Others comment on the weight - yes, it is weighty, due to the quality of leather and durability, but it's absolutely not a problem. I almost purchased a smaller bag with concerns for this bag's weight, but glad I didn't. If you need a big bag, this in the one - I would not be concerned with added weight from the bag. Great in every respect - extremely happy that I've finally purchased my last bag!

Awesome companion between offices and trips

Love the chestnut color, love the smell that permeated my office. I'm currently using an old school 16" laptop which presents a slight challenge when closing this bag entirely, but nothing the strap and buckle can't solve. I'll be upgrading to a 15" so this isn't going to be a future problem. Love the pig-skin interior. This truly is a bag I can pass down because of how tough this is. Kudos!

    DCB Barrister's Briefcase

Excellent trial bag, but too large (long) for everyday carry to court. The Gladstone closure works great; easy to get into. It holds my file(s), laptop, Kirkpatrick's Evidence, statues, pens, miscellaneous for jury selection, and trial notes. However, it's a mile long, when I only need something long enough for the 12" files and laptop. It also doesn't have an outside pen pocket, or the end pockets that I have gotten used to in my other SBL bags. It could use an outside pocket for business cards (maybe with a button stud/Sam Browne closure).

    Barrister's Briefcase

I recently received my dark coffee barristers briefcase and as advertised, it is well built, robust and heavier than other briefcases I have owned in the past. I am not concerned with the weight as it is due to the top quality leather used to make the briefcase. I am an Attorney in New York City and I recently took the barrister briefcase to court on its maiden voyage and got a lot of comments and questions from my colleagues about the briefcase. This briefcase can hold a lot of items. I filled my briefcase with my entire case file that is in a red well folder, a Saddleback large leather portfolio, other files, writing pads, my lab top and my calendars. I used the shoulder strap and it do a great job of reliving any shoulder strain from carrying the briefcase. I am very impressed with my barrister briefcase, so much so, that I am donating my other briefcases to Goodwill. Great design, great quails and craftsmanship. This is the last briefcase I will need. Thank you Saddleback. Happy Holidays.
