J. R. R. Tolkien (1892–1973) was a British theologian, professor at Oxford and author of The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. He believed we were created by a creative God and when we create, we reflect God in that way. He taught Biblical truths through the mythological stories he created and therefore, is the father of modern mythology. He not only impacted his close friend C.S. Lewis, but also millions of others through his work.
