Saddleback never lets me down. I absolutely love the bag and it is my second addition to my Saddleback collection. This bag was ordered for my husbands birthday and he absolutely loves it. I purchase and use many luxury bags of my own. It was disappointing to spend $800+ on what I would consider a luxury purchase and it doesn’t even come with a dust bag or any nice packaging. We received the bag wrapped in plastic and that was it. I would think for that price it would come with at least a duster bag, a care instructions, a leather balm or something? The product is gorgeous but expected more of an experience for the price
So I received my limited run Dusty Carbon a.k.a. Groucho Grey on Saturday. I can't wait to fill this beauty up with my 4 days worth of belongings for my Saddleback Members trip to Guanajuato, Mexico in March. I now know why they call it Dusty Carbon - it looks like the bag just got dusted up from vehicles traveling along a dirt road - pretty cool. The large gladstone opening is great for packing and the two large pockets which lean inwards will be great for those items you want to keep secure but that you need to access quickly. The pigskin interior is velvety and the inside side pocket is nice for general storage or dirty laundry. Dave is right again, quality materials and craftsmanship are important but so is thoughtful design.
