Product Overview

Quality- The Love 41 City is a Women's Leather Backpack made from full-grain leather, nothing less. It is the strongest and most resistant grade of leather there is and the zippers are a very high quality super smooth zipper from Spain. You're going to love this. 

Leather- The grain of a hide is like the shingles on a roof. The grain is the thin top layer of any leather hide that is really tough and resistant to stains and water soaking through. When a cowhide comes into the tannery, it's really thick, so they usually split the top half from the bottom half, the full grain layer from the rest of it. Then they have two hides to sell to leather backpack makers, an expensive quality one and a cheap low quality one. We use hides that have the full amount of grain on the hide (full grain). 

Functionality
This is our best-selling women's leather backpack because it's the bag for everyday use. It's a great size for an adult, but could also be used by a teen or medium-sized child. It has three super-convenient exterior pockets (one zippered and two with nipple rivet closures), adjustable leather backpack straps and a built-in carrying handle.

The story behind this leather bag
This leather backpack is one of Love 41's best selling backpacks because of it's perfect size, looks and quality. It is made with the strongest and most water resistant leather we could buy (full grain) and sewn with a great German thread that won't fall apart with exposure to the sun. 

I began to really see a need to create smaller leather backpack to add to our line up.  I wanted to come up with a design that would be perfect to carry the basics and that could be worn by an adult, or medium-sized child or teen. I think this backpack hit the mark on all those things and more! I love the super soft full-grain leather and the convenience of its ideal size. When you need something small and light with room for your essentials, I think the Love 41 City Leather Backpack is the perfect choice!     If you are on the fence....READ THIS!!!!!

    I got my City Backpack SO fast and when I unwrapped that beautiful burlap package it unleashed the most glorious smell!!! I imagine it's what parts of Heaven smell like! To feel this bag in your hands is something everyone should experience. If you are on the fence about this bag...DON'T be!! I carried the SBL Bucket as an 'edc' and this bag is the perfect step down in size. It still holds everything my bucket did!!! Seriously people...what are you waiting for???? GET IT!!! The quality, the pure fabulousness that is the City Backpack is a MUST HAVE!!!!

    My new Daily Carry

    I have lower back issues and it's hard for me to carry regular purses. The bag is very light weight, the leather is gorgeous and supple, zippers are a plus and the size is perfect! I can fit quite a bit in it but if I don't pack it out it still looks great vs deflated. So far this bag has gone with me to Mexico, Disney, work trips, as well as my daily. I didn't give it 5 stars because there are only a couple things I would change. I wish it had two zipper toggles for each zipper. With only one you can only open and close the zipper in one direction. I don't like the two leather pockets have never used those pockets for fear of the leather stretching making the pockets look..... bulgy? I'm just afraid if I use them they will stretch out to where they won't stay closed on the nipple rivet. That being said, with me never using these pockets, I already see that outer leather stretching so I will definitely not be using those pockets to make things worse.

    Love it!!!

    I can't explain in simple word the beauty of this bag. I love it !! This back pack is so gorgeous, I can't help myself. It fits a lot of my stuff, it is soft but strong at the same time. I got it today, I took it with me and I got a buch of compliments about it. I am very happy once again with another product from Love 41. You just get what you pay! I carried in it my continental wallet, my love 41 cosmetic bag my red clutch from love 41, iPad mini with the Saddleback cover, my keys, my iPhone and still have some extra room, it amazingly spacious!! Love it.!!!

    Backpack Purse

    Something about a backpack purse has always intrigued me. It is my favorite style of bag because there is so much room within the backpack purse category to fuse function with style. I consider myself a backpack purse connoisseur so imagine my intense surprise when I recently saw the City backpack for the first time! Although the City backpack does not have the word “purse in its title, do not hesitate to think of this bag as such; it is the ideal size for edc. It fits: Saddleback big wallet, Love 41 cosmetic bag, medium sized water bottle, phone, keys and there is room for more. Very useful deep front slip pocket; my big phone easily slips all the way down keeping it out of sight/secure yet immediately accessible. The new Western Cedar leather is absolutely gorgeous; soft and supple but also thick and sturdy giving just the right amount of structure. Five stars, I have waited a long time for L41 to release something like this and I adore this comfortable, easy to wear backpack purse!
