MATERIALS

The Leather for Our Briefcases

We only use the toughest leather we can get (thick full-grain leather), the highest grade of hide you can buy, to make all of our leather laptop bags. The grain is the toughest and most water-resistant part of the hide. So when companies sand or split off the top part of the hide to get rid of scars and blemishes so they can use up more of the hide, they're getting rid of the toughest part.

Other Materials Used in our Leather Bags

Yes, full-grain leather is the quarterback getting all of the attention. But the other materials we use is what the over-engineering thing is all about. We line our leather briefcases with pigskin, which is more durable than the full-grain leather. The hardware is the ridiculous 316 stainless steel (rated to hold up to 750 lbs). We sew everything together with a UV-resistant marine-grade polyester thread (it's the same exact threat that's used to sew together ship sails and parachutes... you know, things your life depends on). 

Functionality of the Fourteener Briefcase

This thin leather laptop bag is our smallest leather briefcase and is wide enough to fit any 14" MacBook Pro or laptop. The 2019 15" Macbook Pro fits in the main compartment but not inside the soft laptop sleeve pocket. Two interior flat front pockets to hold a charger, pens, cables, and papers. There aren't a lot of features and functionality, but that's on purpose. It's just a simple briefcase that is the perfect size for your smaller laptops.

This leather briefcase is really designed for the minimalist. It's a small, compact leather bag but still large enough for your essentials. Just purposeful organization for your laptop, notebook, pens, and daily carry — no gimmicks or clutter, just intentional design that makes it easy to stay light and efficient. Slim enough to slide under an airline seat but strong enough to survive years of commutes.

    I purchased the Fourteener in Tobacco Color. This Briefcase, for me a Bible Bag is amazing quality and looks fantastic. The bag and shoulder strap is made of thick leather and will last my life time. I am satisfied with my purchase and would buy again.

    I just received my bag. The smell on this bag is incredible. I wish the bag was just a little bit wider to fit your paperwork.. Without being so cramped inside the bag. Overall is a great bag. I would definitely recommend it Don’t second-guess yourself go for it..
