This leather laptop sleeve is going to be with you and protect whichever laptops you own for the rest of your life. And when laptops go away, you'll use it to keep papers and files from getting wrinkled. &&When you slide your laptop into the sleeve, the bottom and one side not only has a ridge of protective thick leather, but a V of air between the laptop and the hard ground. This V Seam Design helps absorb the shocks because not all damage results in a dent, just like not all damage to you results in a bruise. Some of the worst damage happens where you can't see it, by a shock to the laptop or harsh words to you.&&To make this leather laptop sleeve, we took one solid piece of full grain leather, glued and sewed durable pigskin to it and then folded it over and sewed it to itself. Where we sewed the two sides to themselves is where the protective V was formed.&&So please use one of our leather laptop sleeves and don't speak harshly to your laptop. If you use it in your laptop backpack, you can pull your laptop out without the leather laptop sleeve ever leaving the backpack. And it doubles as a document holder so your files, papers or magazines don't get wrinkled.&&The real laptop damage happens when your briefcase drops to the ground and there is only the thin leather buffer of the briefcase or backpack to cushion the fall. Therefore, we designed this leather laptop sleeve to absorb any such drop and yet stay really slim.
Very sturdy sleeve that’s a pleasure to hold, and a guaranteed crowd pleaser. This thing will definitely hold up for a very long time, no doubt. Hugs the laptop just tightly enough to remain in the bag while you take your computer out, very neat!

I've had my share of leather goods over the years 60+. Yet, I've not once stopped in my tracks to look, feel, and yes, smell the quality in any leather goods other than Saddleback. Absolutely hands down the best in quality heavyweight leather. Period! Now quit pestering me about a review.

Fantastic quality. However, was expecting a more glove-like fit similar to my old sleeve and 12 inch MacBook combo. Would buy again, but could be improved.

The problem with these sleeves isn't the quality, which is superb, it's figuring out which sleeve will fit each device that needs protection. I initially got the 12 inch sleeve for my new iPad Pro 12.9 inches. Its specs were a bit larger than the iPad's. Theoretically it should have worked. Didn't work. The iPad fit in the sleeve so snuggly I had trouble getting it out. And there was no room for the Apple Pencil, a stylus that attaches to the side of the iPad via not-too-powerful magnets. So I exchanged the 12 incher for the 13 incher, which was considerably larger than I thought I would need. It wasn't too large. The iPad slides in and out easily, but not so easily that it would slip out onto the floor. There's just enough room for the Apple Pencil too, but the leather will need to loosen up a bit before the iPad with pencil attached can be inserted without the pencil slipping off.

The product itself is great. It works well for my Dell lattitude version of the surface, if perhaps a bit long. It protects well, but the end-load is a bit cumbersome for loading in/out of my SBL classic briefcase. If I were doing it again, I would get the small MacBook Pro sleeve. But as I said, it works, it protects, and its a good product.
