Our hope is that you’ll be proud of your bag because of the compliments you get and how long it lasts. But our deeper hope is that you join our community of those nurturing the vulnerable and loving the unloved. We do more than just quality leather bags; we do quality in all areas of our business.
Our purpose is not to change the world by loving orphans, single moms and ex-prisoners one at a time. It’s to work with a Love 41 community/family of loving and nurturing people to do it. If you want to but you’re not sure how, then join us on Facebook or sign up for our newsletter to learn more. We’ll help you get plugged in.
Read MoreWe use only the best: full-grain leather, strong pigskin lining and premium marine-grade thread (the kind used on ships sails). Lasts a lifetime - simply switch out a new notebook and keep the worn and patinaed leather journal cover on the new A5 Leuchtturm1917, Moleskine® journals or your choice of planner, journal, or notepad that measures up to 5.5" wide and 8.5" tall. Hardcover journals and planners fit best. Can be used with most similarly sized non-Moleskine or Leuchtturm journals and becomes especially beautiful with age. Recycle the A5 cover for years of journal use. Leather Journal Cover only. Journal not included.
---We are very aware of the controversy of the newer company, Moleskine from 1997, taking the design and functionality of the Leuchtturm1917 and taking it to market in a big and popular way. We call it a Leather Moleskine Cover because it fits both perfectly, plus dozens of other brands and sizes, but we are usually in favor of the original, if they are quality and innovative. We have employees who only use Leuchtturm1917 journals because they like how the pages are each numbered and that they have a table of contents that you can put in there to find notes. It's interesting the controversy. Bottom line, we make quality leather journal and planner covers for quality designs.I received my medium moleskine cover in DCB today. The shipping was super fast as always. The cover is beautiful. I just wanted to make those that are reading this aware that the cover appears to be designed to fit hardcover moleskines. I have a slimmer softcover that I tried to fit and it wasn't quite right. The hardcover slipped in no problem and looks/functions GREAT. This is my third Saddleback product. I'm working my way up to that classic briefcase someday. Thanks Dave (and team)!

I've been perusing the different forums for unique items to use in my everyday work and personal life. I started using Moleskine journals for a few years now. The small journal/notebooks wasn't able to take the abuse I was throwing at it and the last one almost crumbled into a pile of dust. I wanted to find a way to keep my Moleskine notebooks stay in relatively good condition through the wear and tear of my work and personal life. I saw a forum member make a cover for his Moleskine journal but I don't have the time or inclination to put a leather cover together from scratch. I did a Google search and found this website. WOW! There are so many beautiful leather products here. But my focus was on a leather cover for my small Moleskine journal/notebook. So I decided to go ahead and make the investment into a Saddleback leather Moleskine Cover in black. I just got it this afternoon and I am so overwhelmed by the outstanding construction and the high quality leather. The design is very functional and simple. I am in love with my Moleskine notebook with its new leather outfit. With the cover it is a joy to use my Moleskine notebook and carry it around while I am working. Good job, Saddleback Leather!

I'd recently decided to start using Moleskine notebooks to try to keep my thoughts better organized. Naturally, this led to the opportunity to pick up another piece of Saddleback swag. A Dave's Deal came up and I soon had this tobacco brown beauty in my hands. I like how the tobacco brown ages and shows character more quickly than the other colors. If you use a Moleskine, you might as well not only protect it, but have the coolest looking journal in the room. As a bonus, what else can you buy that's got a 100 year guarantee?

I use these for my personal journals and prayer logs. They'll last longer than I will I suspect, and that's just fine. My children will have them, and likely their children after them....Good! Everything in this world doesn't need to be disposable.

I knew it was a match made in heaven I found out that Dave was into Apple and Moleskine, which are just about my 2 favorite things. Naturally I bought some covers, and they couldn't be any more perfect. This in DCB was the first SBL purchase of mine, and I love it just as much now as I did when I bough it. Thanks Dave.
