The Rarest, Healthiest And Least Expensive Shoes You'll Ever Own

After almost 20 years of knee, foot, hip and other pain, it all went away after 4 months of wearing these shoes and so many others share my same story. Our shoes are based on the healthiest design ever created. From 1912 to 1970, it corrected and prevented almost all foot problems in the U.S. Military for millions of soldiers and now we're bringing back the earliest and most orthopedic generation of the 6 generations that were made. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. These could easily be the least expensive shoes you'll ever own, considering the cost of a single doctors visit today. And it's at half the price it would be if we wholesaled to stores. This is pure quality. To nerd out on WHY you have pain and how to find a good shoe that doesn't cause damage, click here.

Backed by Our 100 Year Warranty

Blesséd is the great grandchild who shares your same foot size. We sleep well at night offering a 100 Year Warranty and if you were me and fully understood the extreme tightness of our Italian leather fibers and the tight tolerances of our fine old world Italian construction, you would sleep like a baby too. If you knew how much wisdom and understanding our pattern-maker had of anatomy and movement of the foot, who perfected each pattern for the shoe to last longer and if you comprehended how the shape of our shoe keeps the foot from stretching out from the inside, you would know why a 100 year warranty is the least of our concerns. To watch our super long video about the materials, construction and design that explains the warranty, click here.

The Munson Last - A Shoe Shaped To Mimic A Barefoot Step

It has been nearly 90 years since a shoe shaped like ours has been offered for sale since no one else has had a sculpted last that so perfectly and comfortably shapes to the form of the foot. Ours is based on the 1st and 2nd of the 6 generations of the Munson Last that was created from 1908 to 1912 by Dr. Munson and his Shoe Board to fix all of the foot problems in the U.S. Military.

Because of its asymmetrical shape and the swing to one side, it was terribly difficult and time consuming to build and so the orthopedic nature of it was dumbed down for ease of manufacturing in the later generations. We only found one small family run shop in Italy whose old patriarch could show his shoemakers how to make our shoe like they used to. To completely nerd out on why the Munson Last was so famous and learn why it is so good for you, read here near the bottom of the page.

Our Tight and Pure Materials

With this full leather, synthetic-free shoe, our intention was to design and build the highest quality shoe in the world. Whether or not we achieved it, we'll never know, but we do not know how someone could build a shoe to last longer. Each Officer’s Boot is made with only full-grain, vegetable tanned Italian leather which is arguably one of the tightest fibered leathers we could buy.

From the most durable military grade eyelets and hooks to the thick slabs of leather used for the insole and outsole, every component was chosen for durability, comfort, and to be easily re-soled over and over again. Read indepth about our leather and materials here. In fact, you'll learn all you could possibly want to know about leather.

Italian Old World Construction

Each pair of Officer’s Boots is handmade in a small workshop in Italy, where shoemaking is an art form passed down through generations and where the culture of quality is alive and well. These shoemakerse give OCD a good name, with their obsession to detail—perfect stitching, old world quality construction techniques by doing it right above all else. To nerd out on the construction and see the finest details that make the biggest difference, click here.

Distinguished Design

Not many boots are complimented by strangers 100 years after they were designed. That doesn't happen because of one or two design details. That is the result of the sum of dozens of small choices for the weight of the design in one area over another, the height and shape of the toe or the distance the sole sticks out from beneath the body. It was designed to be versatile, to be worn in battle and in ceremonies and nothing has changed. Most 'my first big boy starter' boots look great right out of the box, but are hard to keep looking great without a lot of effort. Ours were designed to look great right at the start and all the way up to the end.

The English Tan color was not just painted on, but was the exact color we knew we wanted, one that would age with just the right rich tone and effect. The natural base color was expertly developed by tanning it with the exact right mix of two different tannins that age to give it a rich orangish red tone tan instead of a mustardish yellow tan. To geek out, ad nauseam, on our materials and to learn WHY our leather is such high quality, click here.

Life change?

Because these boots are among the highest quality shoes in each of the Four Critical Areas the determine a truly high quality shoe, Shape, Materials, Construction and Design. I deeply believe these shoes will change your life and change the idea of quality shoes around the world. Whether you own our shoes or not, I hope these boots have helped you learn more about what goes into a quality shoe so you will stop wearing damaging, arch weakening shoes, even expensive ones, and that you'll appreciate true quality from now on when you see it.

And life change in more than just the physical sense. There are studies and thinking of how "The Shoe Maketh The Man" that deals with people's perceptions of the wearer of quality shoes, how they treat them differently and how the wearer of the quality shoes feels about themselves. This topic is fascinating and very true. Read my story about what happened to me and the studies about the psychology of it all here.

SBL Boots - 2 months of wear

I’ve been wearing the SBL boots almost daily for just under two months, and they’ve become a staple in my wardrobe. When I first got them, they were definitely on the stiff side, but after a relatively short break-in period they feel like they were custom-made for my feet. Aesthetically, these boots are stunning. I’ve received a lot of compliments, and they really elevate whatever I’m wearing—whether it’s a blue suit, chinos, or even a pair of light jeans. The English Tan color starts off much lighter than expected, but with a bit of conditioner and about a week of wear, they darken to a beautiful amber-brown that’s classy and unique. The only downside is that the distinctive color doesn't match everything in my closet, and occasionally I have to revert back to my old brown boots for the sake of coordination. Build quality is exactly what you’d expect from Saddleback: top-tier. The leather feels luxurious, thick, and strong, but it's not invincible. It scratches fairly easily, so you'll want to be mindful of that if you're rough on your footwear. The sole... while comfortable and well-made, it lacks traction. I’m hesitant to wear them out in the rain for fear of falling. That said, they do feel like boots that could last 100 years with the right care. Verdict: These are the best-looking and best-feeling boots I’ve ever worn. They’re not perfect for every occasion or outfit, and I wish they had better grip, but overall, I’m thrilled with them. If you want craftsmanship, comfort, and compliments, the Saddleback boots are worth every penny.

A different feeling, but a great feeling

I have Red Wings, Nick's, White's, and more boots than I know what to do with. I was given these to test and compare, and while my other boots serve their unique purpose, these boots feel great and are versatile. You can dress them up or down and they still work.

    CHANGED MY LIFE

After almost 3 years of hip and knee pain, wearing these boots consistently have helped relieve my pain almost entirely. Living in Africa the environment has taken its toll on my body. For years I've struggled with hip and knee pain. I listened to Dave share at length how his boots can help. At first I thought he was one of those snake oil salesmen from the Wild West.. however, I decided to give them a shot and 6 months later my knee and hip pain has completely disappeared. I've worn these boots while meeting with chiefs and kings, flying bush planes, hunting buffalo, preaching in villages and working on my old Land Rover.

    Beyond impressive

I was given a pair to test and I am beyond impressed. By far the nicest boots I've worn. I'm a 9.5 D and they fit perfect. They were snug on the top of my foot at first but loosened up after wearing them a full day. Looking forward to seeing how these age!
