The Rarest, Healthiest And Least Expensive Shoes You'll Ever Own
After almost 20 years of knee, foot, hip and other pain, it all went away after 4 months of wearing these shoes and so many others share my same story. Our shoes are based on the healthiest design ever created. From 1912 to 1970, it corrected and prevented almost all foot problems in the U.S. Military for millions of soldiers and now we're bringing back the earliest and most orthopedic generation of the 6 generations that were made. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. These could easily be the least expensive shoes you'll ever own, considering the cost of a single doctors visit today. And it's at half the price it would be if we wholesaled to stores. This is pure quality. To nerd out on WHY you have pain and watch how to find a good shoe that doesn't cause damage, click here.

The Munson Last - A Shoe Shaped To Mimic A Barefoot Step
It has been nearly 90 years since a shoe shaped like ours has been offered for sale since no one else has had a sculpted last that so perfectly and comfortably shapes to the form of the foot. Ours is based on the 1st and 2nd of the 6 generations of the Munson Last that was created from 1908 to 1912 by Dr. Munson and his Shoe Board to fix all of the foot problems in the U.S. Military.
Because of its asymmetrical shape and the swing to one side, it was terribly difficult and time consuming to build and so the orthopedic nature of it was dumbed down for ease of manufacturing in the later generations. We only found one small family run shop in Italy whose old patriarch could show his shoemakers how to make our shoe like they used to. To completely nerd out on why the fascinating Munson Last was so famous and learn why it is so good for you, read at the bottom of the page here.
Our Tight and Pure Materials
With this full leather synthetic free shoe, our intention was to design and build the highest quality shoe in the world. Whether or not we achieved it, we'll never know, but we do not know how someone could build a shoe to last longer. Each Officer’s Boot is made with only full-grain, vegetable tanned Italian leather which is arguably one of the tightest fibered leathers we could buy.
From the most durable military grade eyelets and hooks to the thick slabs of leather used for the insole and outsole, every component was chosen for durability, comfort, and to be easily re-soled over and over again. To read and learn all about WHY our leather was chosen and a cut above, read here.
Italian Old World Construction
Each pair of Officer’s Boots is handmade in a small workshop in Italy, where shoemaking is an art form passed down through generations and where the culture of quality is alive and well. These shoemakers give OCD a good name, with their obsession to detail—perfect stitching, old world quality construction techniques by doing it right above all else. Distinguished Design
Not many boots are complimented by strangers 100 years after they were designed. That doesn't happen because of one or two design details. That is the result of the sum of dozens of small choices for the weight of the design in one area over another, the height and shape of the toe or the distance the sole sticks out from beneath the body. It was designed to be versatile, to be worn in battle and in ceremonies and nothing has changed. Most 'my first big boy starter' boots look great right out of the box, but are hard to keep looking great without a lot of effort. Ours were designed to look great right at the start and all the way up to the end.
The exact tone of black did not come about without much discussion. There is blue black, gray black, yellowish black and dark black. We chose this exact tone of pitch black because it matches perfectly with this style of shoe, but not necessarily with others. Life change?
Because these boots are among the highest quality shoes in each of the Four Critical Areas the determine a truly high quality shoe, Shape, Materials, Construction and Design. I deeply believe these shoes will change your life and change the idea of quality shoes around the world. Whether you own our shoes or not, I hope these boots have helped you learn more about what goes into a quality shoe so you will stop wearing damaging, arch weakening shoes, even expensive ones, and that you'll appreciate true quality from now on when you see it.
And life change in more than just the physical sense. There are actual studies and thinking of how "The Shoe Maketh The Man" that deals with people's perceptions of the wearer of quality shoes, how they treat them differently and how the wearer of the quality shoes feels about themselves. This topic is fascinating and very true. To read my story and the psychology behind it, click here.
