    Not velvet

    I belong to some wet shaving forums. One of the common phrases is YMMV or your mileage may vary. It implies that it’s a little personal and everybody sees things a bit differently. Here’s my take. I am a member of the SBL fan group on FB. I have also watched several YouTube reviews. In both cases, reviews have raved about the velvety tobacco. This built up my expectation for velvety tobacco. When I received my first bag a week ago, it was much different than what I’ve seen posted to FB and YouTube recently. It was very nice but certainly not velvety. I returned that bag with a request for a velvety tobacco and received the same type of leather I had just returned. It’s very nice, but it’s not velvety. Therefore, I would just caution anyone who has expectations of velvety tobacco to maybe wait this batch out. However, if you don’t want velvety tobacco, I think you could be very pleased. I am giving 3 stars due to poor expectations management and failing to accommodate a very specific request while simultaneously fulfilling the same request for a another member of the FB fan group.

    Great gift for the Son!

    Hi Dave, Too late on the pic. I bought the tobacco for my son for Christmas and he "made out like a bandit" and off to show his buddies, I'm sure. To use his description. It's "Badass", Dad. That's strong for a kid that has had 5 or 6 backpacks already. What's a Dad gonna do? He is 22 and a senior in College, I'm sure that's his description is a good thing! lol Can't wait to order one for me! Pack - Great Smell - Awesome Character - Right up my alley!
