A Drawstring Closure That is Easy to Open and Close

When the leather drawstring is completely extended, the top of the bag can be opened up really wide, so it's easy to dig through and find what you need. Once you're done, just cinch the leather drawstring closure back tight, then fold the top flap over and buckle it down. This also acts as a double security feature for your 12" Leather Drawstring Backpack.

Leather Drawstring Backpack Lined With Pigskin

The back portion of the inside is lined with pigskin. This adds strength to the leather drawstring backpack since pigskin is stronger than leather. It is also lighter in color, helping you to be able to see inside easier when there isn't much light. These are all factors we considered in designing the best leather drawstring backpack.

Double Layered Adjustable Shoulder Straps

The leather drawstring backpack adjustable shoulder straps are double-layered and have 15 holes for a variety of adjustment points. This double layering will add extra strength, so you won't have a problem.

    I have waited for years for this!

    I have been through so many backpacks to find something like this. Soft, smooshy, classic Saddleback style that you can use EVERY SINGLE DAY! I am over the moon and can’t believe I waited so long. This is the bag I would actually sell every other bag I own for! It’s light, has the larger internal pocket to have a bit of separation. Easy under the arm to get to anything you need as it’s flexible. Dave and team have outdone themselves. I will be ordering this bag in every color!

    12” Tumbled Backpack in Saddle

    The quality of this leather backpack is outstanding. I love the fact that it can be used as an every day carry. So comfortable and soft. I can’t say enough good things about this backpack and the company. I spoke with Christie on the phone before purchasing and she was very informative, so helpful and kind!

    The bag I've wanted for years!

    I've had a bunch of backpacks from Saddleback and Love 41 over the years, and I have enjoyed all of them. But until now my favorite of all time was the Saddleback Medium Simple Backpack, now discontinued. It was my EDC for nearly six years, and I loved everything about that bag, but I needed to downsize since I just wasn't carrying as much stuff. For the last few years I've tried so many backpacks looking for a perfect fit, and this little tumbled is basically my favorite form factor of the Simple, but smaller. Perfection! I love the size and how it feels on my back, soft and comfortable right out of the box. The only thing I would change would be to add a flat outside back pocket for a cell phone or small tablet like a Kindle. Other than that, it's really the bag I've been searching for since I downsized from the Simple. I look forward to taking it on all my adventures for years to come.

    Smells!

    AMAZING! :) This backpack is THE perfect "purse-sized" backpack. Will fit daily essentials, but I wouldn't attempt to put a jacket in it. It's got no keyfob, no outside pocket, but pebbles, pebbles, pebbles in that texture! The straps are long which is really nice for all sizes of people. The drawstring isn't the typical Saddleback drawstring, it's wider (same leather as the bag) and slides just fine. The drawstring flows thru a hem on the bag, so time will tell whether this stands up. I can fit a 13" laptop in it, but it sticks out about an 1"; so this isn't my first choice for that but can be done. The only thing that bugs me a bit is that the pebbles on the flap aren't the same size as the pebbles on the bag....OCD much? Did I mention this pack smells???? :D

    Love the tumbled leather

    Love this bag. The leather feels amazing, I have several other bags from Saddleback and Love 41 but the tumbled leather really differentiates this bag. It looks fantastic and is super functional. Perfect size to throw all of my essentials in and head out.
