Joy From Four of the Five Senses

We derive joy from all of our senses, at different times. My goal is designing leather bags at this level is that they give the owner joy in how it feels, smells, looks and even sounds. Leather actually has a pleasing sound.

I didn’t plan for anyone to derive joy from tasting our leather, but if they did, I bet our leather tastes better than most. Did you know that members of the Donner Party boiled and ate parts of their shoes and other leather items during the winter of 1846–47 when they were trapped in the snows of the Sierra Nevada. The shoes were typically made of rawhide or leather, which could be softened by long boiling into something technically edible. Think gluey broth with a whisper of tannin. Survival was the name of the game. You can’t eat nylon backpacks. Buy leather bags because you never know when your life could depend on it.
