Waxed Canvas

Waxed canvas is a sturdy, natural fabric that's been impregnated with wax to make it water resistant. That means the bag can receive water on the surface but not soak in. The wax coating will darken over time and develop a beautiful patina, like our full grain leather.

We completely lined the interior with full-grain leather, as well as the back panel. It is the most resistant and strongest type of leather because it includes the full grain.

Marine Grade Polyester Thread To Hold The Messenger Bags Together

    Functional, durable, and attractive

    Purchased to be used as an incognito bag for expensive camera gear. used padded inserts protect the equipment . greta combination of durability and function, a little lighter than the leather saddlebacks i own, and really ideal for this particular use.

    Above and Beyond Expectations

    I have been looking at this bag for years now. Literally years. I have a thin leather briefcase I bought from a friend years ago, but it just didn't have the carrying capacity I wanted, and I didn't like the inflexibility of the leather. I wanted something that I can use everyday that is just a touch lighter, and something I can carry all of my gear in. After staring at this bag and deliberating between this and the backpack variant, I finally bought it. 10/10. It's everything I ever wanted. It fits everything without being over-sized (for me at least, YMMV). Its lighter than the full leather briefcases, but not so light that I worry I'll damage it during use. It feels good and it's absolutely wonderful on the shoulder and in the hand. I'll have to spend some time breaking it in, as it comes pretty fresh and unbroken, but that's half the fun. As always, the Saddleback quality is there, and it will happily carry my large leather portfolio, an ipad, screwdrivers, pens, wallet, phones, kindle, and just for fun, a Nintendo Switch. Couldn't be happier with my purchase, and if anything changes I'll let you know.

    This thing is the most well made bad-ass piece of gear I have ever purchased; I love it! I wish I had this thing 20 years ago. It is going to serve me well currently and in the not too distant future in PA School, not to mention my future career as a PA!

    Light, looking forward to use this

    I have a pig-skin sling bag I got in france, I've traveled with it for years. The liner is ripped out, but I love the bag. I got this as a potential and probable upgrade to my travelbag. It's something that I need to sling water bottles, coffee, gps, camera, phone, and yada yada yada...whatever I need for the next few hours. I'm looking forward to seeing how well this holds up to being tossed around the hills and cities of the world. Until then, I'll rate it out of the box.

    Been going through different bags for daily carry for a decade. I finally found it. This one is perfect for me. Just the right size and I like canvas better than their leather bags. GAAASP! Yep I said it. Get some!
