Nice and functional but could be improved
This sleeve starts our very snug. So snug you have to shake the laptop out quite vigorously, after a week it loosens up so the laptop just falls out. A much better more protective design would have a flap with straps to hold the laptop in and protect it all around. It would ad bulk but I don't feel that's an issue when protecting an expensive laptop. - Noel

Simply Too Big
I will start by saying that I LOVE Saddleback products, but this sleeve is ridiculously too big for my 13" MBP w/retina. It's a half inch too wide and you can stick your entire hand in the sleeve WITH the computer in the sleeve. It is so loose that the computer could pop out of the case just while walking briskly. I am truly stunned by how bad this product is and I cannot express to you enough that I am not hating on Saddleback because I have loved every product I have ever bought from here EXCEPT this one. I don't know what else to say except that I am hugely disappointed and I wanted to love this product. I ignored the other reviews and bought it...don't make the same mistake I did, this sleeve is a bad, bad fit.

Nothing better out there
Been using this sleeve for about two months and just love it. I have the 15 inch version for Retina Display. The fit was originally very tight to the point of having difficulty removing my MacBook, but after “breaking it in” for a few days it now fits securely with no chance of it sliding out unintentionally. I think the look and feel of this sleeve can’t be matched by any else out there and the quality is first rate. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again.

Love It!
This product is everything I expected. Great protection for my 13 inch Mac Pro with retina. Not sure what the "old" model looked like but this one is very sharp. Yes- if you turn it upside down the the computer may fall out. Not an issue for me. It is also the perfect size to carry files in. Thinking of buying another one just for that purpose.

Simple, functional and elegant
I am writing this review after owning the sleeve for over 4 years. I bought it for my big MacBook(2010) version and have not only used it to carry the laptop around but have occasionally used it for carrying magazines, large documents and kids books while traveling. After four years of usage, it still looks, smells and feels new. It can still snugly hold the laptop and will definitely outlast the computer. There aren't a whole lot of uses for this product outside holding computers that fit in it. If you are looking for a more versatility then the laptop cases might be better. But if you are looking for something simple, functional and elegant then you have to get this.
