Our hope is that you’ll be proud of your bag because of the compliments you get and how long it lasts. But our deeper hope is that you join our community of those nurturing the vulnerable and loving the unloved. We do more than just quality leather bags; we do quality in all areas of our business.
Our purpose is not to change the world by loving orphans, single moms and ex-prisoners one at a time. It’s to work with a Love 41 community/family of loving and nurturing people to do it. If you want to but you’re not sure how, then join us on Facebook or sign up for our newsletter to learn more. We’ll help you get plugged in.
Read MoreWe use only the best: full-grain leather, strong pigskin lining and premium marine-grade thread (the kind used on ships sails). Lasts a lifetime - simply switch out a new notebook and keep the worn and patinaed leather journal cover on the new A5 Leuchtturm1917, Moleskine® journals or your choice of planner, journal, or notepad that measures up to 5.5" wide and 8.5" tall. Hardcover journals and planners fit best. Can be used with most similarly sized non-Moleskine or Leuchtturm journals and becomes especially beautiful with age. Recycle the A5 cover for years of journal use. Leather Journal Cover only. Journal not included.
---We are very aware of the controversy of the newer company, Moleskine from 1997, taking the design and functionality of the Leuchtturm1917 and taking it to market in a big and popular way. We call it a Leather Moleskine Cover because it fits both perfectly, plus dozens of other brands and sizes, but we are usually in favor of the original, if they are quality and innovative. We have employees who only use Leuchtturm1917 journals because they like how the pages are each numbered and that they have a table of contents that you can put in there to find notes. It's interesting the controversy. Bottom line, we make quality leather journal and planner covers for quality designs. The leather on this is significantly thinner than the leather on my other Saddleback items (Classic Briefcase, iPhone case, Tow & Four Stitch Belts, to name a few). I'm guessing it's thinner to be more flexible and allow the Moleskine to stay open. I wish it were a bit thicker, though, and that the Tobacco leather looked more like the color in the photos. Aside from the disappointment in color and thickness, the fit is perfect!

Quick and dirty review, after a few weeks I gotta say I love this little cover. I am an artist and my moleskine is my full time partner in crime when I'm out and about. Makes the moleskine a little more durable and gives it a little more support if you're sketching a full set of pages. The leather is going to get a little nicked and scuffed, which in my opinion makes it look a little more awesome. The elastic of the moleskine holes it together, you can wrap it the same way as before, or by mimicing the example. Both work Thanks for an amazing product guys!

Like the other products that I orders (briefcases, cable bags, sleeves) this moleskine cover is constructed with the quality that I have come to expect from Saddleback. However, the feature that I really like is the design that enables the use the elastic strap from the moleskine. The back flap is cut in such a way that allows access to the strap, while the front flap completely covers the moleskine. With this design, it provides a perfect place for your pen reside. When I pick up my cover to take with me I don't have to worry about making sure I have something to write with...it's there, secured by the moleskine elastic strap and my SBL cover! Well thought out design for use of all the features that it was designed to protect!

So this is actually my 3rd Moleskine Cover in 4 years. My first was purchased in 2012, a Dark Coffee Brown Medium. It was stolen in late 2013. I loved it. Seriously, loved it. Then I purchased another medium in Tobacco. It was gorgeous! Beautiful scars and developed amazing patina over time. The leather became so supple and awesome. I thought I would never get rid of it, but I recently sold that one to give the new Chestnut with light pigskin a go. HOLY COW! The Chestnut is beautiful. Mine even has some scarring, which normally doesn't come with Chestnut. The shade of red is very subtle compared to pictures. It's more of a dark reddish brown, which seems much more red in direct sunlight. I havebhonestly been afraid to purchase anything in Chestnut, but boy am I glad I took the leap of faith! Of course, right out of the envelope it smells amazing. I can't wait to get some use out of it and let its own unique story develop. As a Moleskine Cover, it is simple, but you couldn't ask for more. The natural beauty comes from its simplicity and ease of use. So many compliments have been given over the years for the beauty of the leather and the cool factor the cover brings to journaling. As always, GREAT JOB Saddleback.

I've kept a prayer journal for quite a few years, but had never really been satisfied with the look or feel of it. When I came across the moleskine cover, I knew that it was just what I'd been looking for. I purchased a small moleskine along with the cover and replaced my old prayer journal. It's not that having this new cover has made my prayers more effective :-), but as a pastor, having good quality tools does make a difference and this is a great tool!
