LOVE 41
Our hope is that you’ll be proud of your bag because of the compliments you get and how long it lasts. But our deeper hope is that you join our community of those nurturing the vulnerable and loving the unloved. We do more than just quality leather bags; we do quality in all areas of our business.
Our purpose is not to change the world by loving orphans, single moms and ex-prisoners one at a time. It’s to work with a Love 41 community/family of loving and nurturing people to do it. If you want to but you’re not sure how, then join us on Facebook or sign up for our newsletter to learn more. We’ll help you get plugged in.
Read MoreWe use only the best: full-grain leather, strong pigskin lining and premium marine-grade thread (the kind used on ships sails). Lasts a lifetime - simply switch out a new notebook and keep the worn and patinaed leather journal cover on the new A5 Leuchtturm1917, Moleskine® journals or your choice of planner, journal, or notepad that measures up to 5.5" wide and 8.5" tall. Hardcover journals and planners fit best. Can be used with most similarly sized non-Moleskine or Leuchtturm journals and becomes especially beautiful with age. Recycle the A5 cover for years of journal use. Leather Journal Cover only. Journal not included.
---We are very aware of the controversy of the newer company, Moleskine from 1997, taking the design and functionality of the Leuchtturm1917 and taking it to market in a big and popular way. We call it a Leather Moleskine Cover because it fits both perfectly, plus dozens of other brands and sizes, but we are usually in favor of the original, if they are quality and innovative. We have employees who only use Leuchtturm1917 journals because they like how the pages are each numbered and that they have a table of contents that you can put in there to find notes. It's interesting the controversy. Bottom line, we make quality leather journal and planner covers for quality designs.Perfect for the back pocket (I've the smaller of the two) I carry it everywhere, just to jot down notes, reminders, lists, and the like... I do wish it was lined with pig skin, but love it anyhow! I've now got my lady friend addicted as well; between the two of us, we own the classic briefcase, large tote, 2 MacBook Sleeves, large bifold, and large wallets, bible covers (used for moleskine) belts, and a few other items...

I have been using my Moleskine cover for a year now.... it is a constant companion. Perfect match for my front pocket briefcase. Fit Form and Function are perfect. I condition it about every three months and it looks new. Like all of my SB products, it integrates into my daily life and becomes one less thing to worry about failing. Thanks Dave and Team from a very satisfied customer!

Quality is outstanding. Smell is intoxicating. Functionality is simple. What more could you ask for. It just works.

passport wallet "I have had the bi-fold wallet for a long time; perhaps ten years. I have at least three or more plastic cards in each slot plus medicare information in the pocket and bank envelopes with money inside. The point is, none of the stitching comes loose and the leather does not tear. The wallet does not deform too much from being in my pocket. I do use Obenauf's heavy duty LP as a conditioner and protector; the leather does not significantly darken. Without doubt, the best wallet I have ever owned. I just received the passport wallet. It is same thickness leather. The first passport wallet was damaged in transit. It was extremely easy to communicate the problem back to Saddleback, receive a prepaid return postage label, and a few days later the replacement wallet came. This is an excellent leather company. You are paying for excellent craftsmanship, materials, and service.

While I'm a huge nerd and software engineer; I keep it traditional with my trusty Moleskine for notes, idea sketching, working out algorithms and other little things I'm just happier to scribble down. As a lover of all things Saddleback, I picked this up last year and have been through three notebooks with it. It's just simply a gorgeous wrapper. I've gotten so many random compliments and questions about it. "Is that custom made?" "Where did you get that?" "That stitching looks amazing." "Man, all your leather is so top notch." I always just smile and say "It's Saddleback, dude." While there's surely some practicality to owning this, I simply love the way it looks and feels in my hand and I'm so stoked Dave decided to make it. It's one of my very favorite pieces.
