I used the leather milk on a tobacco bag. It darkened the bag a bit which I liked but also removed some of the felty feel of the tobacco leather (now smoother, shinier) which I didn't expect or think about. I am conflicted whether this is an improvement or not. For an older bag that needs a shine, I can see that it would be great. For a newer bag, hard to say whether the texture or color is the better route.

This product smells good enough to eat just like all saddlebacks stuff.
