    Best Yet... Exceeded my expectations

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw just what would fit. I have a number of Saddleback bags and this has now become my EDC.

Good Satchel for Smaller Electronic devices

Carries my smaller electronic devices for seminars and meetings nicely. My SurfacePro 2, and reMarkable note taking device fit fairly well at the same time and it will still buckle. My only wish would be for it to be about a 1/2 to 3/4 inch taller, but it serves the purpose I bought it for.

    Awesome bag.

While this is an awesome bag i also have the waxed canvas version. That one has been around the world with me. I think i might like it better than its leather brother for 3 reasons: the closure is better than a buckle. The old bull leather that provides support is where its at. And then, even though they are equal dimensions, the canvas bag is more flexible and it holds more. I am sure the leather will break in and soften over time but i need the space now. Except for the pigskin lining there isnt really anything unique about the leather satchel. But the waxed canvas is an eye opener and convo starter.

    Thanks God for this bag

Saddleback made a great bag, thank God. The satchel is small enough to feel light and reasonable if you’re just carrying the basics of wallet keys and phone, but then I’ve got a small umbrella, folded up lite jacket, a few items from the grocery store, and other times a few small 3 ring binders in it. The last hole on the strap has been tested over and over, and it seems like it always finds a way to pack more into a little space, very happy....crazy sturdy and solid construction too, leather is for real.

    Indestructible (even on purpose)

I had a smaller version of this bag, or a bag similar to this but smaller, from Saddleback. I got it around ten years ago and have used it daily. After ten years it still looks really good. In fact, it looks too good. I prefer a rugged, weathered, Indiana Jones look. Plus it was a little small for my ipad. So I bought this Indiana Leather Satchel because it was a little larger and I bought a finish that looked like it might be conducive to some beating up. The bag came, looked lovely, smelled intoxicating... a thing of beauty. But I had to try to make it mine. So I put a brick inside it and threw it around outside. I dragged through gravel and slid it across pavement. I poured Acetone on it. I rubbed coconut oil into it. I scratched it with sandpaper, a wire brush. I Dremmeled the edges. It looked so cool. I let it dry overnight. And the next morning, I swear to you, it had healed! It looked almost new again. So I spent another day torturing this bag mercilessly. I poured ink on it. I poured espresso on it and let it sit for an hour. I scratched and clawed it with everything at my disposal. I have decided this is the best I can do. You can see the two images. A before and an after. I absolutely love the look of it and in ten years it'll look even better. There is something so cool about knowing you will never need to buy another bag... Unless Apple changes the size of their products by another inch.
