I don't ever review anything. Really. I don't. I bought a coffee brown briefcase from here maybe 10 years?? ago. Just a solid and handsome piece. I've been very happy with it. So, when I was looking for a smaller bag for the winter, just to carry all my peripherals, I checked here first. Ended up with the black Indiana satchel. I love it. It is made the way I wish more products were made, honestly. And great price for the quality. Great job again!
Perfect size and design for everyday carry. I don't see a way to design an EDC bag better than this. This is an EDC bag any guy would be proud of. Inside pockets are perfect size for a Buck knife and multi-tool, and the bag is big enough to hold an ipad, phone, wallet, keys, lighter, with some room left. But it is not too big for everyday use in almost any situation. I carry a medium Leather Satchel for work, but for all other purposes I will be carrying the Indiana Satchel daily. I'll never worry about being limited by pocket size again. Thanks Dave! As always, the leather is really great. I do not know any other company that offers this kind of look, or this quality. My Indiana Satchel (tobacco, of course) has a ton of vein, scar & stretch marks - there is nothing else like this on the market.
I just got my Christmas present early and was I surprised! I've been wanting a nice side bag to carry my belongings in (sunglasses, phone, iPad, check book, reading book, etc.) for when I travel out. This is the most substantial bag on THE market that we've found (actually, my wife found it!) and I love it. I can't wait to look through all your very well made products for more!
This bag is most definitely a classic in every sense of the word in the SBL line-up. It is lightweight yet built solid and sturdy as a ROCK. It is VERY comfortable on the shoulder, which is how I prefer to wear my bags. I love the dimensions and the buckle closure. I bought mine in Chestnut, which is rich & vintage-looking, and it reminds me somewhat of the Walnut color. I think Tobacco is obviously lovely, but Chestnut has an understated attractiveness that just continuously grows on you because its tones are so rich and subtle. I have several SBL/Love 41 bags, and this Indiana Satchel is now one of my favorites. (Actually, I love all of them. Hopelessly addicted....LOL.) I love Chestnut! New favorite leather color!
I've been carrying my Indiana Satchel for a couple of months now. I think it is awesome. I use it for my EDC bag daily. It takes all my usual gear, a couple of knives, flashlight, keys, wallet, pill boxes, and a few other items, and it has room to spare! I've stuffed it with cookies, an occasional water bottle, and for daily carry, it's really great. I love it. I also have a messenger bag, but this is my usual go to.
