I have several SBL products, and the common theme among all of them, is that their heft and feel. This tote does not disappoint in that regard. Great leather quality, excellent stiching and fit around the corners and edges. SBL products will really last years! Very happy with tote and SBL. Recommended.

Love the style & functionality of this tote. It is large not overly heavy. The only recommendation might be to add a snap or zipper, so if (when) it tips over everything doesn't fall out. The handles on the tote are perfect to grab when getting out of the car. Straps are long enough to easily fit over heavy coats or sweaters. Looking forward to breaking it in further as its still a little stiff but I'm sure the leather will age wonderfully. Highly recommend.
What else is there to say? An amazing bag, built to last forever, crafted out of beautiful leather that I would’ve only ever seen in a high end leather supply store before this. The difference between a bag like this, and a some high end mall luxury bag, is that this is going to not only look good, but it will last you forever. It might not have the “cachet” of some “European brands”, but it’s far more unique, beautiful, and independent in the sense that your bag will always stand out compared to the boring ones around you. The patina that it will develop as it breaks and softens over time will only make it that much more beautiful. It’s also nice to know that it’s a small business, not owned by some faceless corporation that also makes champagne and fancy scarves to wear as underwear or whatever. The quality speaks for itself. I was surprised to see just how durable it was once I took it out of the box. If you don’t think that I pulled at every seam, I did. This will last! I knew about the Saddleback reputation before I bought it, and I was happy to see that it lived up to it and then some. Color is also beautiful. All the colors that they have are great, but I’m a big fan of the chestnut and the tobacco especially. I also bought a dark coffee colored large tote bag as a gift for my mother-in-law, and she absolutely loved it. She likes that sort of almost boot colored leather where it wears really nicely as the leather folds increases, and for her it was the absolute perfect gift. I got her the bigger tote, and it’s her daily driver. This is going to sound like a super cheesy paid ad, it is not, but I am hooked. Definitely going to be getting some leather goods for my office since I seem to be working at home for the foreseeable future thanks to Covid.
