Our purpose is not to change the world by loving orphans, single moms and ex-prisoners one at a time. It’s to work with a Love 41 community/family of loving and nurturing people to do it. If you want to but you’re not sure how, then join us on Facebook or sign up for our newsletter to learn more. We’ll help you get plugged in.
Read MoreDesign of the Range and Tool Tote
The Range and Tool Tote is not something you need, but rather it’s something you’re going to want, and, all your life, so will everyone who sees it. I redesigned the Utility Tote, made it a little better and named it more appropriately.
Why? You ask. To make little boys ask questions.
How To Use It?
And here are some GREAT and PERFECT uses for it:
Skeet shooting, shooting range, deer blind, wide open toolbox, car trunk organizer, for fireplace kindling and matches, for office snacks behind the desk or to store all of your beef jerky.
What’s different? The dimensions are pretty much the same as the Utility Tote, but I made a dip on the top of each end to hold rifles, saws, tubes, pipes or wood. I used two layers of full-grain chrome-tanned leather with a shoe toe and heel stiffening materials in there that laughs at water. The last one was made from thick, vegetable-tanned leather. Both leathers are great, but I can keep this in stock in my factory more easily, and the other was complicated.
Why You Need It?
Let’s be honest with each other here. I don’t make things you need. I make things you want. You don’t need this. A cardboard box would suffice. But you want it. Why do people buy and collect shoes, camera gear, old books or guns that they don’t need? Because owning cool and quality things makes us feel nice. What’s wrong with that? We were designed that way and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. It smells really nice too.
We Don’t Have Many
We don’t have a whole lot of these, and I don’t have more scheduled to come in before Christmas, so you might want to snap one of these up while you can.

WEIGHT AND DIMENSIONS
I got this as a travel bag. Seems a tad odd that I'd use something like this for travel, but if there is one thing I do not like...it is fiddling with a bag to open it. I drive a lot of the places I travel, or I ride a bicycle...or I take trains. When I reach over I want something to be 'there'. I have a perfect sized small vintage wool blanket that folds up perfectly atop anything I have underneath. It's a thin, non-scratchy blanket I found in a second hand store in Bellingham Washington. Has a rust color with an old blue accent...Fits the top opening perfectly after folded a couple of times. I like to have my laptop, or headphones, books, journals, drinks, snacks...blah blah blah, right there under my little blanket. Plus, when I arrive wherever, I can utilize the bag for another purpose if need be. Plus, I also like to put the little blanket around my neck as a cape, run around singing the Batman theme song. I'm stoked! Thank you Dave!

This utility tote looks amazing in the photos online, but it absolutely doesn't disappoint in person. I was blown away by the quality of the materials and construction. The product description doesn't indicate that this is their "old bull" leather, but I suspect that it is. It's really thick and rigid especially in this design. I counted 21 hand-hammered copper rivets. These are much more durable than typical tool set compression rivets. The listing also doesn't mention that the stitching is saddle stitching done by hand, but I suspect that it is. And there is more stitching than you at first realize (take a look at the 6th photo showing the bottom). The materials and craftsmanship that went into this bag are amazing. I can see now why it sold out very quickly. I hope they are at the same price when they return to stock. I would have expected to pay $250 or more for a bag of this quality. It's just outstanding!

This bag is awesome. Like everything Saddleback creates, it's a work of art, made to be simple, beautiful and tough as nails. But this one? Wow. So beautiful! And this is from a guy who owns so much Saddleback - I could open a franchise! I play guitar, and this is the perfect bag to toss in guitar straps, cables, capos, a tin full of picks, extra strings and more. Plus, I have two homes, and I'm always bringing stuff from one house to the other. I'll just leave this in a spare bedroom, and anytime I think of something to go to the other place, I'll toss it in. I'm not sure these will ever be available again....but I hope so. These are the best!

This tote is such a great size and is so sturdy that I've had a hard time deciding what to officially use it for around the house. It's the perfect tote for my knitting supplies, my tools, or a place to stash our dog's leash and toys. No matter what we end up using it for, it's such a good-looking tote that I want it to be out and on display!

We have tried this bag out for so many things - carrying picnic supplies outside, magazine/book holder, wine carrier, toy hauler and more. With its ideal size (holds plenty but still easily manageable), rigid sides, and handles that are the perfect length, it is a workhorse and the perfect tote to have around the house. AND it is absolutely gorgeous - makes a beautiful addition to home décor. Looking forward to finding many more uses for this awesome piece for years (decades!) to come.
