    Incredible!

    I first would like to give a shout out to Fallon at Saddleback Leather - She is amazing! She took time with me, as this was my first big purchase from the company. She was incredibly helpful and even was able to ensure my Membership set was being packed up for shipping. The Membership backpack is phenomenal! It is nice and sturdy, yet not too heavy. I had been eyeballing the OG Tanks and it just seemed that they would not be a good fit for me (more on that further down). The amount of items I can pack away is impressive! My bag typically is packed with my quite thick Bible, my 40 oz. Yeti, my A5 notebook and Hobonichi Cousin planner, all of the organizer bags (SUPER handy - a place for everything and everything in its place!), cell phone, iPad Pro Air, Field Notes, snacks, meds, and a whole lot of other goodies. I was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable it was with the tube pads. I have a spinal fusion with a plate, 4 screws, and a cage in my lumbar area and was concerned that this bag would not work well for me. Not a problem at all! I continue to be blown away and get SO many compliments on my bag. It is such a great opportunity to share your amazing company with others. Thank you for this incredible hiker’s backpack. It is a slam dunk!

    2025 - The Perfect Bag

    I've been looking for The Perfect Backpack, the last backpack I'll ever need, and the ultimate multi use piece of gear. The 2025 membership backpack is perfect for me as a daily bag/purse. Like all women I need to carry all the essentials with me: pens, notebooks, random rocks, cool bones, laptop with charger, bags of plant seeds, a textbook, and some chapstick. The leather is high quality and the stitching looks fantastic. I've been enjoying the chance to break in my new bag. One if the best things about leather is just the visual changes that happen just by bending a strap, or buckling a flap. Really enjoyed all the organizers that came with this bag, and they've already come in handy for some day trips.

    Club Mini-Tank

    Long, long-time owner/user of SL. I prefer backpacks for my EDC, though the briefcases have always been functionally better, as I could have the size that better fit my daily use case. I was skeptical of the size of the mini-tank. Without elaborating, this is perhaps my favorite SL product I've EVER owned. I'm not just "happy" with the club offering, this is just right for me. My 14" MBP / 13" iPad Pro, necessary books/bible, journal, pens, papers, and Yeti bottle fill it in nicely and off I go! I believe the construction of the entire set is a step above other club offerings...more in the "classic" SL construction. I do highly recommend.

    First purchases

    I first became aware of Saddleback Leather in a segment of the “How It’s Made” tv series. I was impressed by the story and the thought and quality that went into the product. Visiting their website I learned about their membership program and decided to join. The product selection and quality of the products that came with the membership were outstanding. I also ordered the Waterbag I learned about on the tv segment. With everything in hand I can say the designs, materials and construction exceed my high expectations. A pile of travel bags has gone to charity to be replaced by the Waterbag and travelers backpack which are more versatile, durable and better looking than all they replaced.

    "Mini-Tank"

    Couldn't be happier. Took me a long time to pull the trigger. Have been eyeing the full size tank for years but always thought it might be too big for what I need as EDC. Now that this was offered it was an easy decision and I don't regret it at all. Yes, the strap loops need to be broken in but I can't really imagine any other solution that would keep with the design of the bag. and once they break in they really are fine. The bag was barely a week old and the straps/buckles were still pretty stiff when I first went through airport security. They pulled it aside for a secondary check and when the lady had a hard time with the straps and I explained that it was still new and needs to be broken in she said "no problem and very cool bag." So this is my new personal item and I love it.
