Product Overview

The Saddleback Leather Sheepskin Moccasins are the epitome of luxury and comfort, made with the highest quality materials. Made from full-grain leather, these moccasins are designed to age beautifully, developing a rich patina over time. The moccasins are lined with soft natural sheepskin. Sheepskin is super comfortable, antibacterial (no stink), hypoallergenic (no allergies), wicks away moisture (not sweaty), temperature regulating (adjusts to body temperature and best slipper for cold feet and all year use) and it’s very durable. The soles are thick, traditionally finished full grain leather indoor/outdoor soles.

If you are a half size or have a wide foot, order a size up.

Sheepskin Lining
Inside, the moccasins are lined with ultra-soft sheepskin, which provides a plush feel for your feet and delivers comfort like no other. The natural sheepskin not only adds a layer of warmth during colder months but also helps regulate temperature, keeping your feet cool during the warmer seasons. This makes these moccasins perfect for year-round use, offering comfort that adapts to any climate without the use of synthetic or artificial materials.

Full Grain Leather Sole
The full leather sole adds an extra layer of durability and strength. Unlike synthetic soles, the full-leather bottom is highly resistant to wear and tear, making these moccasins ideal for light outdoor use, as well as indoor lounging. The sole ensures a firm grip (after you scuff them up - more on that below) and excellent support, perfect for long-term use without compromising comfort. Each pair handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail, the moccasins are an investment in quality, designed to last for years to come.

Scuffing Up the Soles
I'm not saying the boot leather soles are the nicest soles on any pair of slippers or moccasins I've ever seen... I'm just saying I've never seen any nicer. However, they are slick when you first get them, so you'll need to scuff them up. I know it's painful to instantly scuff the beautiful leather soles, but you need to do it. Just walk out on your driveway or patio with your moccasins and start scuffing the bottoms on the heel and ball of your foot. Check out the video below.

How to Clean Sheepskin Moccasins
Here’s how to clean Sheepskin Moccasins if they get stinky, which mainly happens if your sheepskin slippers are made with a lot of synthetic and faux materials. That’s where bacteria grows. But if you own Saddleback Leather Sheepskin Moccasins or Slippers, that won’t be a problem because they’re designed with natural materials that breathe and wick moisture away. To keep yours fresh, clean with these simple guidelines.

How To Get Stink Out Of Sheepskin Slippers or Moccasins
Always rinse your feet off before wearing your sheepskin slippers. They could stink if your feet already stink when you slip them in.

Light Stink
Sprinkle baking soda inside and leave them for 24 hour. Then vacuum them out.

Medium to High Stink
Leaving them in the freezer for 48 hours will help.

How To Clean Sheepskin Moccasins of Dirt or Extreme Stink
If someone or something really bad happened to them, here’s how to clean Sheepskin Moccasins:

Sheepskin Inside
Lightly dampen the sheepskin and then lightly shampoo it with shampoo. DO NOT use detergents. Stuff an absorbent towel in there and step on it for 10 seconds. Turn the towel to a dry spot and do it again. Do not try to dry it quickly. Let it dry at room temperature in a place with good airflow or with a fan on it. No blow dryers.

Full Grain Leather Upper
Gently wipe with a damp cloth. Saddleback uses full grain leather so it’s pretty much unaffected by water. Chamberlain’s Leather Milk is a nice option for annual conditioning.

Suede, Split or Genuine Leather Upper (not Saddleback Leather’s Sheepskin Moccasins)
Be careful cleaning suede. We’re not really sure how to clean it. Google it.

Leather Sole
Gently wipe with a damp cloth. Chamberlain’s Leather Milk is a nice option for annual conditioning.

Warranty and Return Policy

Warranty - If there is a fault in craftsmanship or defective materials, then please contact us within 1 year.

Returns - If you're not satisfied with them within 30 days, then we’ll absolutely refund you or give you credit.

Exchanges - If your pair is too large or too small we will exchange them within 30 days. We will not exchange them for a different pair of the same size.

Too snug? - Be patient. This is what it’s like with all sheepskin slippers or moccasins. Like a baseball glove or a good pair of boots, you have to use them or break them in to customize them to your feet. The sheepskin needs to flatten and get compressed around the shape of your foot and the leather needs to stretch to your width. Wear them for a couple of weeks first.

Too Slippery? - You have to scratch and scuff up the bottom of the heel and ball of your foot so you don’t do the splits. It’s the exact same if you have a pair of custom boots or bespoke shoes made by the greatest shoemakers in the world. They all use the same rich and beautiful polished sole that needs to get scratched up.

How To Make Them Not Slippery - Here’s what you do. Walk out to a rough concrete surface, put them on and kind of kick slide the slippers hard on the ball of your foot and then do it again a few times for the heel. Voila, they won’t be as slippery anymore. Or, you can get some coarse sandpaper or something similar and scratch them up. All you need to scuff up is the front where the ball of your foot touches and the heel.

Thread Wears - You need to lightly singe it and then smash down the hot little ball of thread with your finger.

The break in period for the shearling to compress and the leather to stretch to fit the width of your foot is two weeks of daily use. Like a good pair of work or hiking boots, there is a break in time. You’re going to LOVE these even more once the uppers adjust to your feet and the sole relaxes and becomes worn. Don’t be surprised if you forget to take them off when you hop in bed.

Sizing - if you are a half size or have a wide foot, order a size up.

    The best house shoes

I got a pair of Sheepskin Mocassins in dark brown and they're already my favorite house shoes I've ever owned. The leather sole is amazing but very slick when brand new. I didn't want to scrape the bottom but I had to. Very comfortable, very soft and not really a break-in period. Highly recommend.

Finally a pair of moccasins! I've had a pair of Saddleback sheepskin slippers for 2 years and absolutely love them. But I told myself if they came out with a moccasin style that I have to get them too. These are awesome!!!
