Things You Need to Know When Shopping

What's the difference: Shearling vs Sheepskin, Scuff vs Slipper, Suede vs Full grain leather and other terminology you need to understand. Why are some slippers so expensive and some so cheap? What characteristics define the best sheepskin slippers?

How to Clean Leather Sheepskin Slippers

Here's how to clean sheepskin slippers if they get stinky, which mainly happens if your sheepskin slippers are made with a lot of synthetic and faux materials. That's where bacteria grows. But if you own Saddleback Leather Sheepskin Slippers, that won't be a problem because they're designed with 95% natural materials that breathe and wick moisture away. To keep yours fresh, clean with these simple guidelines.

How To Get Stink Out Of Sheepskin Slippers

Always rinse your feet off before wearing your sheepskin slippers. They could stink if your feet already stink when you slip them in. Light Stink - Sprinkle baking soda inside and leave them for 24 hour. Then vacuum them out. Medium to High Stink - Leaving them in the freezer for 48 hours will help.

How To Clean Sheepskin Slippers of Dirt or Extreme Stink

If someone or something really bad happened to them, here's how to clean Sheepskin Slippers. Sheepskin Inside - Lightly dampen the sheepskin and then lightly shampoo it with shampoo. DO NOT use detergents. Stuff an absorbent towel in there and step on it for 10 seconds. Turn the towel to a dry spot and do it again. Do not try to dry it quickly. Let it dry at room temperature in a place with good airflow or with a fan on it. No blow dryers. Full Grain Leather Upper - Gently wipe with a damp cloth. Saddleback uses full grain leather so it's pretty much unaffected by water. Chamberlain's Leather Milk is a nice option for annual conditioning. Suede, Split or Genuine Leather Upper (not Saddleback Leather's Sheepskin Slippers - Be careful cleaning suede. We're not really sure how to clean it. Google it. Leather Sole - Gently wipe with a damp cloth. Chamberlain's Leather Milk is a nice option for annual conditioning.

    Awesome!

As advertised, these are awesome slippers. I was worried by the comments about sizing up. I normally wear regular shoes M 7.5-8.0, even 8.5 in one brand, so I got the size 9 slippers. They have molded well to my feet but I would have been totally fine with a size 8. Just a data point for anyone considering sizes. They will mold to you, and you don't need to size up too much.

Beautiful slippers but can damage floors

I received these slippers as a gift at Christmas. Upon slipping them on for the first time their comfort and excellent craftsmanship was evident. However, the leather sole picks up dirt that gets embedded. The sole then acts as like sandpaper and scratches our hardwood floors. I have to walk gingerly across our floors to not scratch them up. Other slippers have not had this issue. Keep in mind that we don't wear our street shoes in the house and my wife keeps the house tidy. If Saddleback offered an alternative sole I would try it and recommend to those who are concerned about potentially scratching their hardwood floors.

    Best slippers ever…of course

My husband and I both have saddleback slippers. I had to get my own pair because I kept stealing his. They are so comfortable and perfect for wearing around the house, and even running outside to the mailbox or something quickly if needed. Amazing quality like all saddleback products and very comfortable. I always wear mine with socks, but they keep my feet nicely temperature regulated. I will say, I prefer the men’s slippers to the women’s because of the way they are constructed. In the women’s slippers, I cannot get my toes all the way to the Front because it is tighter in the front, so I trip on rugs etc sometimes as there’s about an extra inch in front of my toes between the seam, and the empty space inside. My husband has very thin, narrow feet, though, and says he can get his toes all the way to the Front of the women slipper. So, if you might have wider feet, the men’s slipper is a great fit, and looks wonderful too.

Wore out in a couple months

Purchased two pairs, one for me and one for my wife. Good materials everywhere except the footbed. That area around the heal and toes, the fur disappeared quickly on both our slippers. Wouldn’t buy again.
