Jesus is God

18th June 2024

Yahweh is called the Lord of Hosts. They are the same. Yahweh is also called the Cornerstone, Stone of Stumbling, Rock of Offense,The Door. Jesus is called all of those exact same names too.

Names of God

GOD IS ONE!!! God states that as a fact. Never forget that. Yahweh is the most common name in the Bible for God and some people like to translate it as Jehovah. He has other names like Adonai, Father, etc. Elohim is a common name for God and it is the plural name of God. It is translate “GodS”.

God often goes by Yahweh (Lord) and then a descriptor word i.e. Yahweh of hosts, Yahweh the one who provides, Yahweh the one who sees, Yahweh… etc. Lordof hosts (Yahweh Sabaoth) is literally “God of armies” and is the name God chooses to use when talking about himself fighting, protecting, destruction or his powerful rule and is in the Hebrew Old Testament scriptures over 200 times, all referring to his power.

The “Lordof Hosts” is also called, in the same verses, Elohim, Adonai, God of Israel, God of the whole earth, Maker etc.

The name “Lordof Hosts” (who is God himself) in the Old Testament, AND Jesus in the New Testament, are both called the following exact same names: The Cornerstone, The Stone of Stumbling, Stone of Offense, The King of Israel, The First and the Last, The Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel, The Holy One, Savior, The Shepherd, The Righteous One, Deliverer, The Mighty One of Israel/Jacob, King of kings, Lord of lords, The Light, The Eternal Life, The Living God, The True God, The Living One, The Living water, I AM, Everlasting Father, the Only Sovereign and Yahweh and Jesus, in the future, “will be King over all the earth” (why just in the future?).

Yahweh in the Old Testament and Jesus in the New Testament both share all of the following: They are both king, both share the same cherubim throne, the seraphim call out to both of them “Holy Holy Holy”, both get an inheritance, will both come down with their holy ones to fight on the Mount of Olives, every knee will bow and tongue confess to both, the path for both of them was prepared by John the Baptist, both are the ONLY savior, both commanded us to ONLY worship God, everyone will come to Jerusalem to worship both of them during the Millenium, both accept worship, both receive glory, both laid the foundations of the earth and created all things, both were pierced and both were valued at 30 pieces of silver, both call eachother “God”, both are called God by others, both have priests, both control angels, both ARE the same temple in the New Jerusalem, both raise the dead, both raised Jesus from the dead, both lead captives free, both calm storms, both still the waves, both control nature, both forgive sins, both are all knowing, both have the same mind, both are said to have 7 eyes, both search minds and hearts, both judge, both give rewards, both reign, both are served, to hate Jesus is to hate God, both give out authority and both are called The Door, Everlasting, Mighty God, Almighty God, Great King and Creator of All. Yahweh is called Husband and Jesus is called the Groom. Jesus alone is called “Yahweh is our Righteousness.

Psalm 118:20-22 Yahweh is the Cornerstone that the builders rejected. The gate/door for salvation.

Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the Lord(Yahweh). This is the gate of theLord(Yahweh); the righteous shall enter through it. I thank you that you (Yahweh)have answered me and have become my salvation. The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.

Acts 4:11-12 Jesus is the stone that the builders rejected and who became the cornerstone.

This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Ephesians 2:20 Jesus is The Cornerstone

the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone,

John 10:7-9 Jesus is the Door/Gate for salvation

So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep… If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.

Isaiah 8:13-14 Lord of Hosts will become a stone of offense and a rock of stumbling. Jesus is the stone of offense.

But the Lord(Yahweh) of hosts, Him you shall honor as holy… And He will become a sanctuary and a stone of offense and a rock of stumblingto both houses of Israel,

Romans 9:32-33 Jesus is the fulfillment of that prophecy, a stone of stumbling and rock of offense.

They have stumbled over the stumbling stone, as it is written, “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense; and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”

Isaiah 28:16 Yahweh laid a cornerstone to build the foundation on

thus says the Lord God (Yahweh Adonai), “Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: ‘Whoever believes will not be in haste.’

1 Peter 2:4-8 Jesus is the living stone, stone of stumbling, rock of offense, God’s chosen and precious cornerstone that Israel rejected

As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious,...For it stands in Scripture: “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame. So the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe, “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,” and “A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense.”

Yahweh and Jesus both get Israel as their inheritance

1 John 5:20 We are in Jesus, who is the true God and eternal life.

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

Jeremiah 10:16 Sons get an inheritance. The Lord(Yahweh) of Hosts gets Israel as his inheritance. Jesus gets Israel as his inheritance.

Not like these is he who is the portion of Jacob, for he is the one who formed all things, and Israel is the tribe of his inheritance; the Lord(Yahweh) of hosts is his name.

Hebrews 1:2 Jesus inherited everything

but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.

The Yahweh of Hosts, who is the Christ, the prophesied Messiah, is coming to fight on Mount Zion

This is why they wanted to kill Jesus, because he claimed to be the Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One, who was coming to conquer and rule, also called Yahweh, Lord of Hosts

Isaiah 31:4 Yahweh of hosts will fight on Mount Zion and on its hill (Mount of Olives)

For thus the Lord said to me… the Lord(Yahweh)of hosts will come down to fight on Mount Zion and on its hill.

Zechariah 14:3-10 Yahweh will come to fight and his holy ones (saints) with him and will be king over all the earth.

Then the Lord(Yahweh) will go out and fightagainst those nations as when he fights on a day of battle. On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives… Then the Lord my God will come, and all the holy ones with him. And the Lord(Yahweh)will be king over all the earth. On that day the Lord(Yahweh) will be one and his name one.

Revelation 19:13-16 Jesus will come with the armies of Heaven that Zechariah prophesied Yahweh would do

…he is called is The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses… “On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.”

Revelation 17:14 The Lamb (Jesus) is coming with the saints

“They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful.”

Acts 1:11-12 Jesus prophesies that he himself will return to the Mount of Olives

and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.” Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey away.

1 Timothy 6:15-16 King of kings Lord of lords is Jesus’ name

to obey this command without fault or failure until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, whose appearing the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords

Jesus the Living God, the Living One

Throughout the Old Testament, the title of “Living One” is absolutely unique to Yahweh alone, the King, Living God, in Whom is all life. Jesus calls himself The Living One

Jeremiah 10:10

The Lord(Yahweh) is the only true God. He is the Living God and the Everlasting King.

1 Timothy 3:15-16 Jesus is the living God, who showed himself as human

which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth. Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh…taken up in glory.

Jeremiah 23:36 The Lord of Hosts is a name for the Messiah, the Living God.

and you pervert the words of the Living God, the Lord(Yahweh) of hosts, our God (Elohim).

Acts 14:15 The Living God is another name for Jesus from 1 Timothy 3:15-16

…to a Living God, who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and all that is in them.

Revelation 1:17-18 Jesus calls himself the same titles that Yahweh calls himself

Fear not, I am the First and the Last and the Living One. I died, and behold I am aliveforevermore.

El Gibbor - Mighty God/Yahweh

In Isaiah ch. 9 and 10, Jesus and Yahweh are both named El Gibbor, meaning Mighty God Isaiah 10:20-21

In that day the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will no more lean on him who struck them, but will lean on the Lord(Yahweh), the Holy One of Israel, in truth. A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the Mighty God (El Gibbor).

Isaiah 9:6

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God (El Gibbor), Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Our Spirit Returns to God and Jesus

Ecclesiastes 12:7 When people die, their spirit returns to God.

and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God (Elohim) who gave it.

Acts 7:59 Stephen prayed to Jesus asking Him to receive his spirit.

And as they were stoning Stephen, he called out, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”

Jesus is Called God

The spiritual leaders wanted to kill Jesus several times because it clearly sounded to them that he was claiming to be God (The Christ) or equal to God and later they wanted to kill the disciples for the same thing. Any sane man would have said, “Wait, you misunderstood me. I didn’t mean that I was God or equal with God. What I meant was…” But he and they didn’t. They knew what they were saying and didn’t deny or correct it. They were willing to die for the fact.

John 5:17-18Jesus called God his own Father, which is equality with God

But Jesus answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I am working.” This was why the Jews were seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

John 10:26-33Jesus gives eternal life. No one can snatch them from His hand or His Father’s hand. Jesus and the Father are one

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch themout of MY HAND. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch themout of the FATHER’S HAND. I and the Father are one.” The Jews picked up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone me?” The Jews answered him, “It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God.”

John 20:28Thomas Called Jesus “God” and Jesus didn’t correct him

Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and examine my hands. Extend your hand and put it into my side. Do not continue in your unbelief, but believe.” Thomas replied to him, “My Lord and my God!”

John 8:19 Jesus said if you knew him then you would know his father.

They said to him therefore, “Where is your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”

Romans 9:5 Paul calls Christ “God over all”

To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen.

1 Timothy 3:15-16 Jesus is the living God, who showed himself as human

which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth. Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

John 1:1-3, 12, 14, 18 The Word is God the Son, who became human. No one has seen God the Father because he is invisible, but God the Son shows us exactly what he’s like.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth…No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.

John the Baptist was to prepare for Yahweh and Jesus

Isaiah 40:3 Prophecy about John the Baptist coming to prepare the way for Yahweh, our God.

A voice cries: “In the wilderness, prepare the way of theLord(Yahweh); make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

Matthew 3:1-3 John the Baptist quoted Isaiah 40:3 and was preparing the way for Jesus

In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah when he said, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; make his paths straight.’”

The First and Last, the One Who is, Who was and Who is to come

Revelation 1:8 The Lord God calls himself the Alpha and Omega and Who is and Who was and Who is to come, The Almighty

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,”says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Revelation 21:6 Jesus calls himself the Alpha and Omega

And he said (Jesus) to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.

Revelation 4:8 Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come

And the four living creatures… never cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!

Isaiah 44:6 Yahweh is the King of Israel, AND His Redeemer, who is the Lord of Hosts, both said “I am the First and the Last”.

Thus says the LORD(Yahweh), the King of IsraelAND his Redeemer, the LORD (Yahweh) of hosts: “I am the First and I am the Last; besides me there is no god.

Revelation 22:13 Jesus calls himself the First and Last, the Beginning and the End

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”

Revelation 2:8 The First and Last, who died and came to life

And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: ‘The words of the First and the Last, who died and came to life.

Revelation 1:17-18 Jesus calls himself the First and the Last, the Living One

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.

Isaiah 48:12-13; 17 The First and the Last laid the foundations of the earth. Yahweh calls himself the First and the Last and He sent two people, Jesus AND his Spirit

“Listen to me, O Jacob, and Israel, whom I called! I am He; I am the First, and I am the Last. My hand laid the foundation of the earth, and My right hand spread out the heavens, when I call to them, they stand forth together...” And now the Lord God has sentme AND his Spirit. Thus says the LORD (Yahweh), your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD (Yahweh) your God (Adonai), who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.”

King of kings and Lord of lords

1 Timothy 1:16-17 Jesus is the King of the Ages, immortal, invisible, the only God.

But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. To the King of the Ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

1 Timothy 6:14-16 Is this Jesus or God or Both? Only Sovereign, King of Kings, Lord of lords (What Jesus calls himself) and alone has immortality, are descriptions of Jesus elsewhere. Who dwells in unapproachable light and who has never been seen is God the Father.

to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which He (?) will display at the proper time, He (?) who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.

Psalm 24:10 King David prophesied of Jesus coming back to Heaven to reign after his resurrection. He calls the Messiah, “the Lord of Hosts” and “the King of Glory”.

Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle! Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory!

Zechariah 9:9 Jesus is King of Zion (Israel), The Righteous One, Savior are his titles elsewhere. Mounted on a donkey is the prophecy of Jesus

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

Zechariah 14:9, 16-17 Lord of Hosts WILL BE (future) King of the earth and everyone will come to worship Him during the Millenium. This is Jesus.

And the Lord(Yahweh)WILL BE king over all the earth. On that day the Lord will be one and his name one.

Then everyone who survives of all the nations that have come against Jerusalem shall go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Booths. And if any of the families of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, there will be no rain on them.

The Grammar here is HUGE. Please read it 3 times. Don’t miss this.

Authors intentionally use the word AND to make both of the nouns, such as GodANDFather to mean they are the same person.

Ephesians 4:6 The “One God” of all is also the “Father” of all

“oneGod AND Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”

1 Peter 1:3 He is the God and also he is the Father of Jesus

Blessed be the God AND Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!

The Greek grammar rule is that when an AND connects two nouns that are in the same grammatical CASE, then it means the author was making them to mean the same. i.e. “my friendAND brother, Jonathan”. In other words, Jonathan is my friend and is also my brother. “The husbandANDfather, Dave” etc.

He later uses AND in the same way many times about Jesus too. WHEN I SAW THIS OVER AND OVER AGAIN, IT REALLY MADE SENSE.

2 Peter 1:11 Jesus is our Lord AND also our Savior

For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord AND Savior, Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 2:20 Our Lord AND Savior is Jesus

For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord AND SaviorJesus Christ…

Jude 4 Our ONLY Master and Lord is Jesus

I am about to describe, ungodly men who have turned the grace of our God into a license for evil and who deny THE ONLY MasterANDLord of us, Jesus Christ.

SUPER IMPORTANT 2 Peter 1:1 Jesus is our God and also our Savior

To those who have obtained a faith of equal standing with ours by the righteousness of the God AND Savior of us, Jesus Christ.

SUPER IMPORTANT Titus 2:13 Our great God and also our Savior is Jesus

as we wait for the happy fulfillment of our hope in the glorious appearing of the great GodANDSavior of us, Jesus Christ.

The Berean Patriot explains, “Paul speaks of “that happy expectation and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,” calling Jesus “the great God” in a grammatically unambiguous fashion. Unitarians deny that this verse is actually calling Jesus “the great God,“ and prefer to translate it as “the glory of our great God and the Savior Christ Jesus” (supplying a definite article not found in the Greek), just as in 2 Thessalonians 1:12. However, in this passage, contextual indications make such a translation inconceivable. First of all, elsewhere in the NT, the Second Coming is never described as the appearing of God the Father; rather, it is the appearing of only a single Person, the Lord Jesus.

Furthermore, just a few verses earlier, Paul refers to “God our Savior” whose grace “is saving all mankind”; because of this, when Paul goes on to speak of “our great God and Savior,” it is inconceivable that he could be speaking of two individuals! Based on these contextual indications, we can be certain that Paul is referring to Jesus as “the great God” in this verse, even apart from the Granville Sharp Rule.”

Paul speaks of “the grace of our God and Lord Jesus Christ,” calling Jesus “the God” (ho theos) in a grammatically unambiguous fashion. Unitarians deny that this verse is actually calling Jesus “our God,“ and prefer to translate it as “the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ” (supplying a definite article not found in the Greek). Such a translation is theologically motivated, based on the idea that “the New Testament nowhere else refers to Jesus as ‘the God,’” an idea which is patently false.

PLEASE READ ALL OF THAT AGAIN SO YOU UNDERSTAND IT BETTER. IT’S THAT IMPORTANT

Titus 3:4-7 God our Savior AND Jesus Christ our Savior one sentence after the other

But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, 5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

John 4:10-14, 25-26The well of eternal life is inside Christ, the Messiah. Jesus quoted Isaiah, talking about Yahweh, as himself.

Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”... The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ). When he comes, he will tell us all things.” Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am he (ego eimi).”

Look, God is my deliverer! I will trust in him and not fear. For the Lord gives me strength and protects me; he has become my deliverer.” Joyfully, you will draw water from the springs of deliverance.

John 7:37-39 Whoever drinks of Jesus will have rivers of living water flow from inside, quoting Isaiah about Yahweh.

Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’”

1 Corinthians 10:1-4 Out of Christ the Rock flowed a river of living water

For I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that our fathers… all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ.

Psalm 78:15-16 Jesus was the rock that flowed rivers

He broke open rocks in the wilderness, and gave them enough water to fill the depths of the sea. He caused streams to flow from the rock, and made the water flow like rivers.

Zechariah 14:8 Out of Jerusalem will flow living waters, about the single throne that God sits on.

Moreover, on that day living waters will flow out from Jerusalem, half of them to the eastern sea and half of them to the western sea; it will happen both in summer and in winter.

Revelation 22:1-2 The river of the water of life flowed from Jesus’s and God’s throne

and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God,

Revelation 3:7 Jesus is the Holy One, True One and holds the key of David

“This is the solemn pronouncement of the Holy One, the True One, who holds the key of David(Jesus), who opens doors no one can shut, and shuts doors no one can open:

Isaiah 22:22 Yahweh talks about Jesus who He will give the key to the house of David to

I will place the key to the house of David on his shoulder. When he opens the door, no one can close it; when he closes the door, no one can open it.

John 10:14-15, 26-30 There is only one shepherd, Jesus, the Good Shepherd and he gives his sheep eternal life. No one can snatch the sheep out of Jesus’s/God’s hand. “Me and Yahweh are one”, so they wanted to kill him for making himself God.

I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep… So there will be one flock, one shepherd… but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one(We are Yahweh).”,,, “It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God.” (Jesus didn’t correct them because they were correct, even though it meant he was going to die.)

Psalm 100:3 Yahweh made us and we are the sheep of His pasture.

Know that the Lord Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Matthew 25:32-46 Jesus gathers all nations and separates the sheep from the goats

And He will arise and shepherd His flock in the strength of the Lord(Yahweh), In the majesty of the name of the Lord His God. And they will remain, Because at that time He will be great to the ends of the earth.

Jesus is Omnipotent (All Powerful)
Jesus and Yahweh and Elohim Created All Things

Isaiah 44:24 Yahweh created everything alone and by himself.

Thus says the Lord(Yahweh), your Redeemer, who formed you from the womb: “I am the Lord(Yahweh), who made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself

Genesis 1:1 Elohim created Earth and Sky

In the beginning, God (Elohim) created the Heavens and the Earth.

Psalm 95:3-5 Yahweh owns all creation and made it all

For the Lord (Yahweh) is a great God, and a great King above all gods.In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.

SUPER IMPORTANT Genesis 1:26-27:The word Elohim is a name God calls himself and it is translated plural, “Gods”, but the action verbs about what Elohim does are singular, as action taken by one instead of many

Then God said(Elohim plural - Gods), “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness… So God created(singular) man in his own image, in the image of God (plural - Gods)he created(singular) him; male and female he created (singular) them.

Psalm 102:24-27 This is about Elohim creating, who was quoted to refer to Jesus in Hebrews 1:10

“O my God,”... Of old you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.

Hebrews 1:10 God the Father quotes Psalm 102, then calls Jesus “Lord” then says Jesus created it all. Psalm 102 is about Elohim creating it all.

And, ”You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your hands

The Alpha and Omega Created All Things

Revelation 21:6 Jesus calls himself the Alpha and Omega

And he (Jesus) said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.

Revelation 4:8 Who was and is and is to come is a name for Yahweh and Jesus

and day and night they never cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!” and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Ephesians 3:9 God created all things

and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things

John 1:1-3; 10, 14 The Word, Jesus, made all things

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him and without him was not any thing made that was made. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.

Colossians 1:15-16 All things were made by him, through him and for him. Jesus made it all. The prepositions “through”, “by”, and “for” are commonly used in the Bible for God creating

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.

Isaiah 45:18 Yahweh declares Elohim created it all and there is no other

For thus says the Lord (Yahweh), who created the heavens, he is God (Elohim) who formed the earth and made it, he established it; he did not create it empty, he formed it to be inhabited!: “I am the Lord(Yahweh), and there is no other.

Isaiah 40:25-26 The Holy One is a title for Jesus AND Yahweh and He created it all.

To whom then will you compare me, that I should be like him? says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name; by the greatness of his might and because he is strong in power, not one is missing.

Acts 3:14 of Jesus is the Holy One

But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you

Luke 4:33-34 Demons call Jesus The Holy One of God

And in the synagogue there was a man who had the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice, “Ha! What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the Holy One of God.”

Isaiah 48:12-13; 17 Yahweh says that the Lord God, who created it all, “sent ME and His Spirit”, Yahweh calls himself “the First and the Last, Redeemer, Holy One of Israel and the Lord your God. These are titles Jesus is equally called in the New Testament.

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.”

Isaiah 43:10-15 Yahweh and Jesus’s names are Redeemer, Lord, Holy One, Creator, King.

Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me… Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.”

Revelation 14:7 Worship Him who made Heaven and Earth

And he said with a loud voice, “Fear Godand give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.”

1 Corinthians 8:6 There is just one God (The Father and the Lord Jesus Christ)

yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; andone Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him.

Yahweh and Jesus were pierced

Zechariah 12:10 Prophecy that Yahweh would be pierced

“And I (Yahweh) will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look ON ME (Yahweh), on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn.

Isaiah 53:5 Prophecy that Jesus would be pierced

But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.

John 19:33-37 Fulfilled prophecy that Yahweh would be pierced

But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and at once there came out blood and water. For these things took place that the Scripture might be fulfilled: “Not one of his bones will be broken.” And again another Scripture says, “They will look on him whom they have pierced.”

Yahweh and Jesus were valued at 30 pieces of silver

Zechariah 11:12-13 Yahweh was valued at 30 pieces of silver

Then I said to them, “If it seems good to you, give me my wages; but if not, keep them.” And they weighed out as my wages thirty pieces of silver. Then the Lord(Yahweh) said to me, “Throw it to the potter”—the lordly price at which I was priced by them. So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the Lord, to the potter.

Matthew 27:9 Jesus was betrayed for 30 pieces of silver

Then was fulfilled what had been spoken by the prophet Jeremiah, saying, “And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him on whom a price had been set by some of the sons of Israel

God With Us

Isaiah 7:14 The prophecy of Jesus - God with us‘Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel’(God with us).

Matthew 1:21-23 Angel tells Joseph to name him Jesus - God with us

She will give birth to a son and you will name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” This all happened so that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet would be fulfilled: “Look! The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will name him Emmanuel,” which means “God with us.”

Jesus the Son is equal with God the Father

Psalm 45:6-7 Two individuals are both called God (Elohim is translated “Gods” - plural). One is the Father and one is the Son.

Your throne, O God(Elohim - Gods), is forever and ever. The scepter of your (singular) kingdom is a scepter of uprightness; you have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Therefore God, your God(Elohim - Gods), has anointed (singular) you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions;

Hebrews 1:8-9 God the Father quotes Psalm 45 and calls Jesus “Elohim”

Butof the SonHe (God the Father) says, “Your throne, O God (Elohim), is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions.”

Hebrews 1:10-12 God the Father speaks here and quotes Psalm 102 about his Son creating everything with his hands. Then God the Father calls His Son “LORD”. Jesus is Lord(Yahweh) in Psalm 102

And, “You, Lord (Yahweh from Psalm 102), laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your hands; they will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment, like a robe you will roll them up, like a garment they will be changed. But you are the same and your years will have no end.”

Jesus is the Image of God
Colossians 2:9 Godness dwells in Jesus

For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily,

From the Berean Patriot - “Paul states that “in Him [Jesus], all the fullness of the God-ness dwells bodily.” This is a straightforward claim to the absolute deity of Christ. Unitarians often point to Ephesians 3:19, which states that believers too can be “filled to all the fullness of God” without themselves being God. However, this is not a valid parallel for two reasons. First, whereas Eph. 3:19 states that believers may be filled with all the fullness of God (theos), Col. 2:9 states that Jesus has all the fullness of God-ness (theotes), that is, the state of being God. This is a small but very important distinction. Second, whereas Eph. 3:19 states that believers must be filled with the fullness of God (in the aorist subjunctive, describing a one-time and uncertain event), Col. 2:9 states that all the fullness of God-ness dwells bodily in Jesus (in the present indicative, describing a continual, ongoing, and certain event). These two verses, though superficially similar, are in fact very different and do not parallel one another. Whereas believers must be filled with the fullness of God, all of the fullness of the ‘God-ness’ inherently dwells continually within Jesus. Furthermore, the next verse states “…and in Christ you have been made full,” showing that any ‘fullness of God’ within believers is merely derivative to that of Christ”

Hebrews 1:3 Jesus is radiance of God’s glory and represents his essence

The Son is the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence

Colossians 1:15 Jesus is God’s image

He is the image of the invisible God,

2 Corinthians 4:4 Unbelievers blinded to the gospel of Christ who is God’s image

In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Philippians 2:5-8 Jesus was in God’s form, then took on human form, but didn’t grasp at equality of rank with God.

Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

John 14:8-11 Jesus and his Father are in eachother. He who sees Jesus, sees the Father.

Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves.

Love of Christ = Love of God
Romans 8:35, 39 The love of Christ is the same as the love of God.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?… nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Priests of God and Christ
Revelation 20:6 The priests of God are also the priests of Christ

Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but theywill be priests of God and of Christ (two people), and they will reign with him(singular pronoun) for a thousand years.

God and Jesus sent his angel

Revelation 22:6-7, 20 God (Jesus) sent his angel. Jesus is coming soon.

And he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place. And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book... I, Jesus, have sent my angelto testify to you about these things for the churches… He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

Yahweh and Jesus have the same mind
Isaiah 40:13

Who comprehends the mind of the Lord(Yahweh), or gives him instruction as his counselor?

1 Corinthians 2:16 Paul quoted Isaiah 40, therefore the mind of Yahweh is the mind of Christ

“For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

Jesus and God are one Temple

Revelation 21:22 God and the Lamb (Jesus) are both the temple (physical presence) in the New Jerusalem.

And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple isthe Lord God the AlmightyANDthe Lamb.

The Lord of Hosts on the Throne is Holy
2 Samuel 6:2 The Lord of Hosts sits on the cherubim throne

And David arose and went with all the people who were with him from Baale-judah to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the name of the Lord(Yahweh) of Hosts who sits enthroned on the cherubim.

Isaiah 6:2-3 The seraphim around the throne in Heaven say the Lord of Hosts is Holy

Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord(Yahweh) of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!”

Revelation 4:8-11 The Four Living creatures never stop saying He is Holy

And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!” And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying, “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”

Honor Yahweh and Christ as Holy
Isaiah 8:11-13 Yahweh says to honor the LORD of Hosts

For the Lord(Yahweh) spoke “...do not fear what they fear, nor be in dread. But the Lord of Hosts, him you shall honor as holy.

1 Peter 3:14-15 Peter quotes about Jesus when Yahweh says to honor Yahweh as holy

Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy,

Jesus, the Messiah, is named Yahweh and Elohim
Hosea 1:6-7 Two Yahwehs. Yahweh says he will save Judah by Yahweh their Elohim (the name of God translated plural - Gods)

And the Lord(Yahweh) said to him, “Call her name No Mercy, for I will no more have mercy on the house of Israel, to forgive them at all. But I will have mercy on the house of Judah, and I will save them by the Lord(Yahweh)their God(Elohim).

Zechariah 2:8-11 The Grammar shows three separate persons called Yahweh: Yahweh, the one who anoints and sends, Yahweh, the one who is anointed and was sent, Yahweh, the one who is the Spirit

For thus said the Lord of Hosts (Yahweh Sabaoth, a name for the Christ), after his glory sent me to the nations who plundered you, for he who touches you touches the apple of his eye: “Behold, I will shake my hand over them, and they shall become plunder for those who served them. Then you will know that the Lord of Hosts (Yahweh Sabaoth) has sent me. Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, for behold, I come and I will dwell in your midst, declares the Lord(Yahweh). And many nations shall join themselves to the Lord(Yahweh) in that day, and shall be my people. And I will dwell in your midst, and you shall know that the Lord of Hosts (Yahweh Sabaoth) has sent me to you.

Isaiah 61:1, 8, 10 Yahweh said this about himself being the Messiah, the anointed one and the same that Jesus quoted about himself

“The Spirit of the Lord God (Adonai Yahweh) is upon me, because the Lord(Yahweh) has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;” For I the Lord(Yahweh)love justice; I hate robbery and wrong; I will greatly rejoice in the Lord(Yahweh); my soul shall exult in my God (Elohim - Gods).

Luke 4:18 Jesus quotes the same thing from the prophet Isaiah about himself and says the Holy Spirit has anointed him instead of Yahweh.

“The Spirit of the Lord(Yahweh) is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed”.

Yahweh and Jesus are both the Light
Psalm 27:1 Yahweh is my light, salvation and stronghold, so I have nobody to fear.

The Lord(Yahweh) is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? TheLord(Yahweh) is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

John 8:12 Jesus says he is the light of the world

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

1 John 1:5-7 God is light, so walk in the light as he is in the light

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

Psalm 104:1-2 God is covered with light

Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, you are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty, covering yourself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent.

Romans 13:12 Put on the armor of light who is Jesus

The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.

John 1:4, 5, 9 Jesus was the true light of man

In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.

Isaiah 10:17 The light of Israel AND His Holy One will become fire.

The light of Israel will become a fire, ANDhis Holy One a flame, and it will burn and devour his thorns and briers in one day.

John 3:19-21 The light came into the world and judges by exposing darkness.

And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.

Jesus and Yahweh are both Life and Eternal Life
Being “The Life” is unique to Yahweh Himself, “the Living God” “in Whom we live and move and have our being.”

John 1:4 Life was in Jesus and he IS the light

In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

John 14:6 Jesus is The Life

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Psalm 36:9 Psalm 36:9 John quoted this about Jesus, but David wrote it about Yahweh

For with you is the fountain of life; In your light we see light.

John 11:25 Jesus is the Resurrection and Life

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live

1 John 5:20 John never refers to God the Father as “the eonian/eternal life” but it is always of Jesus who is the life or eternal life. The following verses show that Jesus is the Eternal Life, therefore the True God or both of them are the True God.

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

1 John 5:11-12 Eternal life is found in Jesus

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. The one who has the Son has this eternal life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have this eternal life.

1 John 1:1-2 They looked at, touched, saw and testify about, Jesus, the Eternal Life, who was with God the Father from the beginning.

This is what we proclaim to you: what was from the beginning, what we have looked at and our hands have touched (concerning the Word of life, and the life was revealed, and we have seen and testify and announce to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us).

John 1:1-2 John uses the word “zoe - life” 36 times, 17 of those times it is used with the word “aonian - eternal”. All of them refer to eternal life, except the two in John 1:4

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was fully God. The Word was with God in the beginning. All things were created by him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created. In him was life, and the life was the light of mankind. And the light shines on in the darkness, but the darkness has not mastered it.

Jesus is Lord of the Dead and God and Jesus Raise the Dead

John 5:21 God the Father and God the Son both give life to the dead

For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will.

John 6:39-40,44 Jesus will raise up all believers who die

And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

John 2:19-21 Jesus prophesied he would raise himself up from the dead in 3 days

Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”... But he was speaking about the temple of his body.

John 10:17-18 Jesus said he gives his life and raises it up again

For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.”

Ezekiel 37:5-6, 10 Adonai Yahweh brought back and army back to life from their bones and breathed life into them.

Thus says the Lord God(Yahweh Adonai) to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live. And I will lay sinews upon you, and will cause flesh to come upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live, and you shall know that I am the Lord.”... and the breath came into them, and they lived and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army.

Ezekiel 37:12-14 God will open up graves and raise them from the dead.

Therefore prophesy, and say to them, Thus says the Lord God(Yahweh Adonai): Behold, I will open your graves and raise you from your graves, O my people. And I will bring you into the land of Israel. And you shall know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves, and raise you from your graves, O my people. And I will put my Spirit within you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land.

Matthew 27:51-53 Dead saints rose from the dead and walked around after Jesus’ resurrection

And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split. The tombs also were opened. And many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

Romans 14:8-9 Jesus is Lord of living and dead and we and do things to honor him.

So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's. For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.

Yahweh and Jesus are the Redeemer

Redeemer definition: A person who returns goodness and honor to something again. Who buys, gets or wins back, repurchases or releases from blame or debt. Frees from distress or harm by payment of a ransom.

Isaiah 44:6 The Lord (Adonai) = the King of Isreal AND His Redeemer = LORD of Hosts (Yahweh Sabaoth). They both say, I am the first and the last, which is what Yahweh calls himself in the Old Testament and Jesus calls himself in the Book of Revelation

Thus says the Lord(Adonai), the King of Israel, ANDHis Redeemer, the Lord of Hosts(Yahweh Sabaoth): “I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god.

Jeremiah 50:34 The Lord of Hosts is the Redeemer and he will plead their cause

Their Redeemer is strong; the Lord of hosts is his name. He will surely plead their cause, that he may give rest to the earth, but unrest to the inhabitants of Babylon.

Job 19:25 The Redeemer was alive in Job’s time, and he will stand on Earth. God the Father doesn’t stand on Earth, but Jesus the Christ does.

For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth.

Isaiah 1:24 The Lord (Adonai) is the Lord of Hosts and the Mighty One of Israel will come and stand on the Mount of Olives (this is the Christ)

Therefore the Lord(Adonai)declares, the LORD(Yahweh)of hosts , the Mighty One of Israel: “Ah, I will get relief from my enemies and avenge myself on my foes. Then the Lord(Yahweh)will go out… On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives…

Isaiah 49:26Jesus is known elsewhere as the Savior and as Mighty One of Jacob and so also Redeemer

Then all flesh shall know that I am the Lord (Adonai) your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”

Isaiah 54:5Jesus is the Maker, Holy One, Lord of Hosts, therefore also the Redeemer

For your Maker is your husband, the Lord of Hosts is his name; and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer, the God of the whole earth he is called.

Isaiah 41:14 Jesus is the Holy One of Israel and therefore Redeemer

Fear not, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel! I am the one who helps you, declares the Lord; your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

Titus 2:13-14 Jesus is God and redeemed us

Waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness…

Hebrews 9:12 Jesus redeemed us eternally with his own blood

He entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption.

Ephesians 1:7-8 Jesus redeemed with blood

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses,

Romans 3:24 We are justified (made just) through Jesus’s redemption

And are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

Colossians 1:13 Our redemption is the forgiveness of sins.

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Isaiah 47:4 Lord of Hosts a.k.a. Our Redeemer, Holy One of Israel

Our Redeemer—the Lord(Yahweh) of hosts is his name— is the Holy One of Israel.

Galatians 4:4-7 God the Father sent his son to redeem us so we could be adopted by God

But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.

Isaiah 44:22-24 Yahweh is the Redeemer and He created all things

I have blotted out your transgressions like a cloud and your sins like mist; return to me, for I have redeemed you. Sing, O heavens, for the Lord(Yahweh)has done it; shout, O depths of the earth; break forth into singing, O mountains, O forest, and every tree in it! For the Lord(Yahweh) has redeemed Jacob, and will be glorified in Israel. Thus says the Lord(Yahweh), your Redeemer, who formed you from the womb: “I am the Lord(Yahweh), who made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens who spread out the earth by myself,

Galatians 3:13-14 Christ redeemed us by dying on the cross, the prophecy written in Deuteronomy, the next verse

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the lawby becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree” so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.

Deuteronomy 21:22-23 Law for Jesus to die on the cross

“And if a man has committed a crime punishable by death and he is put to death, and you hang him on a tree, his body shall not remain all night on the tree, but you shall bury him the same day, for a hanged man is cursed by God. You shall not defile your land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance.

Acts 20:28 God obtained the church with his own blood, Jesus is the only one who has blood. Jesus is God.

Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which He obtained with His own blood.

Yahweh and Jesus Lead Captives

Psalm 68:18 Yahweh ascended and led captives

You ascended on high, leading a host of captives in your train and receiving gifts among men, even among the rebellious, that the Lord God may dwell there.

Ephesians 4:8 Jesus ascended and led captives

Therefore it says, “When he ascended on high he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men.”

Both Yahweh and Jesus Controls Nature
Jesus and God commanded the waves and the sea

Psalm 89:8-9 Yahweh stills the waves

O Lord God of Hosts(Elohe Yahweh Sabaoth), who is mighty as you are, O Lord(Yahweh), with your faithfulness all around you?You rule the raging of the sea: when its waves rise, you still them.

Psalm 107:25, 28-29 A miracle of Yahweh is a prophecy of Jesus’s miracle

For He (Yahweh) commanded and raised the stormy wind, which lifted up the waves of the sea. Then they cried to the Lord(Yahweh) in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed.

Mark 4:39-41 Jesus delivered them from the storm

And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?” And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

Matthew 17:27 Jesus placed the fish there at that exact time.

However, not to give offense to them, go to the sea and cast a hook and take the first fish that comes up, and when you open its mouth you will find a shekel. Take that and give it to them for me and for yourself.”

Jesus tells His disciples do not fear because “I am He” (ego eimi). This is straight from Isaiah 43 where Yahweh tells Israel, “do not fear when you pass through the waters” because “I am He” (ego eimi).

Job 9:8 Tramples/walks on the waves of the sea.

who alone stretched out the heavens and trampled the waves of the sea;

Matthew 14:24-27 Jesus said he is I AM

but the boat by this time was a long way from the land, beaten by the waves, for the wind was against them. And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” and they cried out in fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take heart; it is I (ego eimi - I AM). Do not be afraid.”

Isaiah 43:1-3,10-11 Yahweh is the Lord their God, the Holy One and only Savior who created and redeemed Israel

But now thus says the Lord(Yahweh), He who created you, O Jacob, He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I give Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you. You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he (I AM). Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me. I, I am the Lord(Yahweh), and besides me there is no savior.

Exodus 14:21-22 Yahweh controls the water

and the Lord(Yahweh)drove the sea back by a strong east wind all night and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. And the people of Israel went into the midst of the sea on dry ground, the waters being a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

Jesus altered water to wine

John 2:7-8 Jesus altered the molecular structure of water to wine

Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. And he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” So they took it. When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine…

Jesus willed a fig tree to die
Matthew 21:19 Jesus killed the fig tree with his words

And seeing a fig tree by the wayside, he went to it and found nothing on it but only leaves. And he said to it, “May no fruit ever come from you again!” And the fig tree withered at once.

Adonai and Jesus forgive sins
Jesus claims the authority to forgive sins, something properly belonging to God alone. However, the author immediately goes on to state that “God… had given such authority to a man,” which renders this passage equivocal on the issue of Christ’s deity.

Psalm 103:2-3 Adonai is the one who forgives sin and heals

Bless the Lord(Adonai), O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity(sin), who heals all your diseases.

Mark 2:5-7 Pharisees knew only God can forgive sins, so they said he is blaspheming

And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts, “Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming!Who can forgive sins but God alone?”... But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on Earth to forgive sins”, he said to the paralytic, “I say to you, rise, pick up your bed, and go home.” And he rose and immediately picked up his bed and went out before them all…”

Both Yahweh and Jesus Are Omniscient (All knowing)

Jesus is the Lamb with 7 eyes and Yahweh has 7 eyes, which symbolizes fullness of seeing - or all knowing. They are omniscient.

Zechariah 4:10 Yahweh has 7 eyes

For whoever has despised the day of small things shall rejoice, and shall see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. “These seven are the eyes of the Lord(Yahweh), which range through the whole earth.”

Revelation 5:6 Jesus is the Lamb on the throne with 7 eyes.

And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

2 Chronicles 16:9 Yahweh’s eyes look around the earth.

For the eyes of the Lord(Yahweh)run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him.

John 6:64 Jesus knew who didn’t believe and who would betray him

But there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.)

John 16:30 The disciples knew that Jesus came from God because he knew all things

Now we know that you know all things and do not need anyone to question you; this is why we believe that you came from God.”

John 2:24-25 Jesus knows all people and knew what was in man

But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man.

John 4:39 Jesus told the Samaritan woman all that she ever did.

Many Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman's testimony, “He told me all that I ever did.”

John 4:50-53 Jesus told him his son would live and at the hour he said it, the fever broke.

Jesus said to him, “Go; your son will live.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and went on his way. As he was going down, his servants met him and told him that his son was recovering. So he asked them the hour when he began to get better, and they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.” The father knew that was the hour when Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live.” And he himself believed, and all his household.

Jesus, Yahweh, Elohim know the minds and hearts of men

Psalm 7:9 Elohim tests the minds and hearts.

Oh, let the evil of the wicked come to an end, and may you establish the righteous, you who test the minds and hearts, O righteous God (Elohim)!

1 Chronicles 28:9 King David tells his son to serve Yahweh because he searches hearts and understands every plan and thought.

“And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the Lord (Yahweh) searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

Acts 1:24 The Lord knows the hearts of all

And they prayed and said, “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen.

Proverbs 24:12 God weighs the heart and can see excuses and he will repay for works

If you say, “Behold, we did not know this,” does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it, and will he not repay man according to his work?

Revelation 2:18-23 Jesus searches minds and hearts

And all the churches will know that I am he who searches mind and heart.

Matthew 9:4 Jesus knew their thoughts

But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?

John 21:17 Peter said Jesus knows everything

He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.

Jesus Will Judge

Joel 3:2 Yahweh will gather all nations and judge them.

I (Yahweh) will gather all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. And I will enter into judgment with them there, on behalf of my people and my heritage Israel, because they have scattered them among the nations and have divided up my land.

John 5:22 God the Father does not judge anyone, but God the Son judges everyone

For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son

Matthew 25:31-32 Jesus will sit on his throne and judge all gathered nations and fulfill Joel 3:2 (next verse)

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

Psalm 98:8-9 Let the rivers clap their hands; let the hills sing for joy together before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.

John 5:30 Unity of action between God the Father and God the Son

“I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me.

Acts 17:31 God fixed a day when Jesus will judge the world.

because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.”

Revelation 14:7 Highly respect God because he is about to judge.

And he said with a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.”

Hebrews 12:23 God is the judge of all

and to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the judge of all,

Romans 2:2-6 The judgment of God

We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. Do you suppose that you will escape the judgment of God? But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God's righteous judgment will be revealed.

Revelation 18:8 God judges during the Tribulation

For this reason her plagues will come in a single day, death and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire;for mighty is the Lord God who has judged her.”

Hebrews 13:4 God will judge

Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. God's righteous judgment will be revealed.

Jesus and God the Father reign as one

Isaiah 24:23 Lord of Hosts Reigns on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem

Then the moon will be confounded and the sun ashamed, for the Lord of hosts reigns on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and his glory will be before his elders.

Revelation 11:16-17 Jesus just started reigning, but Yahweh has always reigned

And the twenty-four elders who sit on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying, “We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, who is and who was, for you have taken your great power and begun to reign.

Revelation 20:4,6 Saints reign with Christ and will be both God and Christ’s priests

They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years…but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him (not them) for a thousand years.

Revelation 11:15 The kingdom is of God the Father and Christ the son and He (Singular) will reign.

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord AND of his Christ, and He (not they) shall reign forever and ever.”

Isaiah 45:23 Yahweh says every knee will bow and tongue swear allegiance to himself

By myself I have sworn; from my mouth has gone out in righteousness a word that shall not return: ‘To me (Yahweh) every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear allegiance.

Philippians 2:10-11 Paul says every knee will bow and tongue confess that Jesus is Lord

Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Jesus and God share one throne

Revelation 22:1-4 A singular throne is of God the Father and Jesus the Son and His servants will worship Him (singular pronouns)

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God AND of the Lamb… No longer will there be anything accursed, butthe throne of God AND of the Lamb will be in it, and His (not their)servants will worshipHim(not them) and they will see His (not their) face, and His (not their) name will be on their foreheads.

Revelation 3:21 Jesus and the Father are on eachother’s throne

I will grant the one who conquers permission to sit with me on my throne, just as I too conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.

Revelation 4:8-11 They worship the ONE who sits on the throne, who was and who is and who is to come, is holy. He is worthy because he created all things.

They never rest day or night, saying: “Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God, the All-Powerful,Who was and who is, and who is still to come!” And whenever the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to the one who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders throw themselves to the ground before the ONE who sits on the throne and worship the ONE who lives forever and ever, and they offer their crowns before his throne, saying: “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, since you created all things, and because of your will they existed and were created!

Revelation 6:16-17 During the Tribulation, they want to hide from the ONE seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb. The great day of THEIR wrath has come.

They said to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of the ONE who is seated on the throneand from the wrath of the Lamb, because the great day of THEIR wrath has come, and who is able to withstand it?”

Revelation 5:6-7 Jesus, standing in the middle of the throne, took the scroll from the one seated on the throne.

Then I saw standing in the middle of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the middle of the elders, a Lamb that appeared to have been killed. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. Then he came and took the scroll from the right hand of the ONEwho was seated on the throne,

Revelation 7:15-17The one seated on the throne of God will shelter them because the Lamb of God, in the middle of the throne, will shepherd and lead them

For this reason they are before the throne of God, and they serve him day and night in his temple, and the one seated on the throne will shelter them… because the Lamb, in the middle of the throne, will shepherd them and lead them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

Jesus will reward

Colossians 3:24 We are serving Christ and get the inheritance as a reward

knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

Romans 14:10 We will all stand before the judgment seat of God

Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.

2 Corinthians 5:10 We will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

Jeremiah 11:20 The Lord of Hosts tests hearts and minds

But, O Lord of hosts, who judges righteously, who tests the heart and the mind, let me see your vengeance upon them, for to you have I committed my cause.

Revelation 2:23 Jesus searches hearts and minds to give to each for their works.

And all the churches will know that I am he who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of you according to your works.

Jeremiah 17:10 Yahweh searches hearts and minds to give for the fruit of their deeds.

“I, the Lord (Yahweh), search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.”

Jesus and Yahweh both reward for good deeds

Matthew 16:27 Jesus will repay people for good things they’ve done.

For the Son of Man(Jesus) is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done.

Psalm 62:12 God is loving and will repay for works

and that to you, O Lord(Adonai), belongs steadfast love. For you will render to a man according to his work.

Ezekiel 33:20 Yahweh is just and will judge each according to their ways.

Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ O house of Israel, I will judge each of you according to his ways.”

Jeremiah 32:19 Yahweh’s eyes see the ways of man and will reward for their good deeds

great in counsel and mighty in deed, whose eyes are open to all the ways of the children of man, rewarding each one according to his ways and according to the fruit of his deeds.

Worship God Only, which includes Jesus

God strictly commands to worship ONLY God and Jesus, not the created. Jesus agreed, and he received worship many times.

Yahweh and Jesus Both Receive Glory (Worship)

Isaiah 42:8 Yahweh does not share glory with anybody

I am the Lord(Yahweh); that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols.

John 13:31-32 God glorifies Jesus

When he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in him. If God is glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and glorify him at once.

John 17:1, 5 Father and Son glorify eachother

When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you… And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.

knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

Deuteronomy 6:13 Yahweh said to serve himself

It is the Lord(Yahweh) your God you shall fear. Him you shall serve and by his name you shall swear.

Jesus is the Great I AM

Isaiah 43:10 Jesus quoted Isaiah 43 knowing Jews would recognize he was boldly calling himself God. No god before or after me (as God) was or ever will be.

“You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord (Yahweh), “and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am HE.Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me.

The Title of “I AM” (ego eimi in Greek) is the name Yahweh said is His name forever and all generations will remember him with that name.

Exodus 3:13-15 Elohim Yahweh told Moses that his name was I AM.

Then Moses said to God, “If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what shall I say to them?” God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘I am has sent me to you.’” God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘The Lord(Yahweh), the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations.

John 8:57-58 Jesus told the Jewish religious leaders that he was I AM. This was evidence to them that he was claiming to be God and deserved death. And he didn’t try to clarify it to them after they said he should die for claiming to be God.

So the Jews said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?” Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”So they picked up stones to throw at him.

John 8:24, 28 Jesus calls himself I AM twice and says you’ll finally realize that I AM HE (the One) when you lift me up (crucify me)

I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am He (ego eimi) you will die in your sins.” So Jesus said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He (ego eimi), and that I do nothing on my own authority, but speak just as the Father taught me.

Isaiah 43:24-25 Jesus quoted this passage above, paralleling the thoughts

But you have burdened me (Yahweh) with your sins; you have wearied me with your iniquities. “I, I am He (ego eimi ego eimi) who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.

God the Father is invisible

Exodus 33:20 God said no one can see his face and live

But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for man shall not see me and live.”

John 6:45-51 No one has seen the Father except Jesus

It is written in the Prophets, ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me not that anyone has seen the Father except he who is from God; he has seen the Father.

Jesus is Peace

Isaiah 9:6 Jesus is the Prince of Peace

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Hebrews 13:20 The God of peace. Jesus is the Great Shepherd

Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the Great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant,

Ephesians 2:13 Jesus, himself, is our peace

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God. And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near.

To hate Jesus is to hate God the Father

John 15:23-25

Whoever hates me hates my Father also.If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin, but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father. But the word that is written in their Law must be fulfilled: ‘They hated me without a cause.

We have fellowship with the Father and Jesus

1 John 1:3

That which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.

Jesus alters Scripture on his own authority

Jesus alters the Old Testament teachings and even reverses some. Instead of appealing to the authority of God, as would be necessary when changing a teaching of God, He appeals to His own authority: “But I say to you”! He basically says he, himself has the authority of God, and the religious Jews recognized what he was implying.

Jesus claimed to be the Christ, who was prophesied about. Other names for the Christ were Messiah, Anointed One, Son of Man, King of Israel, Son of David, Branch of David, Bright Morning Star. The prophecies about the Christ also called him the Holy One, Yahweh, Elohim, Adonai, I AM, Creator of the World, Holy One, Redeemer, Great Shepherd, Living God, etc. They wanted to kill him because to claim to be the Christ was to claim to be God himself.

Daniel 7:13-14 Prophecy of the Son of Man, who will be king of a kingdom that will be eternal.

“I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him. Psalm 132:10-18 Prophetic psalm about the coming Messiah who will be king in Zion and sit on a throne

The Lord swore to David a sure oath from which he will not turn back: “One of the sons of your body I will set on your throne (Messiah). If your sons keep my covenant and my testimonies that I shall teach them, their sons also forever shall sit on your throne.”For the Lord has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his dwelling place: “This is my resting place forever; here I will dwell, for I have desired it.I will abundantly bless her provisions; I will satisfy her poor with bread. Her priests I will clothe with salvation, and her saints will shout for joy. John 1:1

Genesis 15:1-7

After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying,

“Do not fear, Abram,I am a shield to you;[a]Your reward shall be very great.”

2 But Abram said, “Lord God, what will You give me, since I am childless, and the [d]heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?” 3 Abram also said, “Since You have given me no son, one who has been born in my house is my heir.” 4 Then behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “This man will not be your heir; but one who will come from your own [h]body shall be your heir.” 5 And He took him outside and said, “Now look toward the heavens and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” And He said to him, “So shall your [i]descendants be.” 6 Then he believed in the Lord; and He credited it to him as righteousness. 7 And He said to him, “I am the Lord who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to [k]possess it.”

1 Samuel 3 The Lord calls Samuel.

Vs 21 The Lord appeared to him by the Word of the Lord They SAW Yahweh because they saw Yahweh

Now the boy Samuel was attending to the service of the Lord before Eli. And word from the Lord was rare in those days; visions were infrequent.

2 But it happened at that time as Eli was lying down in his place (now his eyesight had begun to be poor and he could not see well), 3 and the lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the temple of the Lord where the ark of God was, 4 that the Lord called Samuel; and he said, “Here I am.” 5 Then he ran to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” But he said, “I did not call, go back and lie down.” So he went and lay down. 6 And the Lord called yet again, “Samuel!” So Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” But he said, “I did not call, my son, go back and lie down.” 7 Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, nor had the word of the Lord yet been revealed to him. 8 So the Lord called Samuel again for the third time. And he got up and went to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” Then Eli realized that the Lord was calling the boy. 9 And Eli said to Samuel, “Go lie down, and it shall be if He calls you, that you shall say, ‘Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.’” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.

10 Then the Lord came and stood, and called as at the other times: “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel said, “Speak, for Your servant is listening.” 11 Then the Lord said to Samuel, “Behold, I am going to do a thing in Israel, and both ears of everyone who hears about it will ring. 12 On that day I will carry out against Eli everything that I have spoken in regard to his house, from beginning to end. 13 For I have told him that I am going to judge his house forever for the wrongdoing that he knew, because his sons were bringing a curse on themselves and he did not rebuke them. 14 Therefore I have sworn to the house of Eli that the wrongdoing of Eli’s house shall never be atoned for by sacrifice or offering.”

15 So Samuel lay down until morning. Then he opened the doors of the house of the Lord. But Samuel was afraid to tell the vision to Eli. 16 Then Eli called Samuel and said, “Samuel, my son.” And he said, “Here I am.” 17 He said, “What is the word that He spoke to you? Please do not hide it from me. May God do the same to you, and more so, if you hide a single word from me of all the words that He spoke to you!” 18 So Samuel told him [c]everything and hid nothing from him. And he said, “He is the Lord; let Him do [d]what seems good to Him.”

19 Now Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him, and He let none of his words fail. 20 And all Israel from Dan even to Beersheba knew that Samuel was confirmed as a prophet of the Lord. 21 And the Lord appeared again at Shiloh, because the Lord revealed Himself to Samuel at Shiloh by the word of the Lord.

Jeremiah 1

The Word of the Lord touches Jeremiah’s mouth

The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin, 2 to whom the word of the Lord came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign. 3 It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, until the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah, king of Judah, until the exile of Jerusalem in the fifth month.

4 Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,And before you were born I consecrated you;I have appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

6 Then I said, “Oh, Lord [a]God!Behold, I do not know how to speak,Because I am a youth.”

7 But the Lord said to me,“Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’Because everywhere I send you, you shall go,And all that I command you, you shall speak.

8 Do not be afraid of them,For I am with you to save you,” declares the Lord.

9 Then the Lord stretched out His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me,

“Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.

10 See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms,To root out and to tear down,To destroy and to overthrow,To build and to plant.”

11 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “What do you see, Jeremiah?” And I said, “I see a branch of an [b]almond tree.” 12 Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am [c]watching over My word to perform it.”

13 And the word of the Lord came to me a second time, saying, “What do you see?” And I said, “I see a boiling pot, facing away from the north.” 14 Then the Lord said to me, “Out of the north the evil [d]will be unleashed on all the inhabitants of the land. 15 For, behold, I am calling all the families of the kingdoms of the north,” declares the Lord; “and they will come and place, each one of them, his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all its walls around, and against all the cities of Judah. 16 And I will [e]pronounce My judgments against them concerning all their wickedness, since they have abandoned Me and have [f]offered sacrifices to other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands. 17 Now, belt your garment around your waist and arise, and speak to them all that I command you. Do not be dismayed before them, or I will make you dismayed before them. 18 Now behold, I have made you today like a fortified city and like a pillar of iron and walls of bronze against the whole land, to the kings of Judah, to its leaders, to its priests, and to the people of the land. 19 And they will fight against you but they will not overcome you, for I am with you to save you,” declares the Lord.

Jeremiah 2:

2 Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 2 “Go and proclaim in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, ‘This is what the Lord says:

“I remember regarding you the [a]devotion of your youth,Your love when you were a bride,Your following after Me in the wilderness,Through a land not sown.

3 Israel was holy to the Lord,The first of His harvest. All who ate of it became guilty;Evil came upon them,” declares the Lord.’”

4 Hear the word of the Lord, house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel. 5 This is what the Lord says:

Ezekiel 1 The Word of the Lord

Now it came about in the thirtieth year, on the fifth day of the fourth month, while I was by the river Chebar among the exiles, the heavens were opened and I saw [a]visions of God. 2 (On the fifth of the month [b]in the fifth year of King Jehoiachin’s exile, 3 the word of the Lord came expressly to Ezekiel the priest, son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and there the hand of the Lord came upon him.)

4 As I looked, behold, a high wind was coming from the north, a great cloud with fire flashing intermittently and a bright light around it, and in its midst something like gleaming [c]metal in the midst of the fire. 5 And within it there were figures resembling four living beings. And this was their appearance: they had human form. 6 Each of them had four faces and four wings. 7 Their legs were straight and [d]their feet were like a calf’s [e]hoof, and they sparkled like polished bronze. 8 Under their wings on their four sides were human hands. As for the faces and wings of the four of them, 9 their wings touched one another; their faces did not turn when they moved, each went straight forward. 10 As for the form of their faces, each had a human face; [f]all four had the face of a lion on the right and the face of a bull on the left, and [g]all four had the face of an eagle. 11 Such were their faces. Their wings were spread out above; each had two touching another being, and two covering their bodies. 12 And each went straight forward; wherever the spirit was about to go, they would go, without turning as they went. 13 [h]In the midst of the living beings there was something that looked like burning coals of fire, [i]like torches moving among the living beings. The fire was bright, and lightning was [j]flashing from the fire. 14 And the living beings ran back and forth like bolts of lightning.

15 Now as I looked at the living beings, behold, there was one wheel on the ground beside the living beings, for [k]each of the four of them. 16 The appearance of the wheels and their workmanship was like [l]sparkling topaz, and all four of them had the same form, their appearance and workmanship being as if [m]one wheel were within another. 17 Whenever they [n]moved, they [o]moved in any of their four [p]directions without turning as they [q]moved. 18 As for their rims, they were high and awesome, and the rims of all four of them were [r]covered with eyes all around. 19 Whenever the living beings [s]moved, the wheels [t]moved with them. And whenever the living beings rose from the earth, the wheels rose also. 20 Wherever the spirit was about to go, they would go in that direction[u]. And the wheels rose just as they did; for the spirit of the living [v]beings was in the wheels. 21 Whenever those went, they went; and whenever those stopped, they stopped. And whenever those rose from the earth, the wheels rose just as they did; for the spirit of the living [w]beings was in the wheels.

Vision of Divine Glory

22 Now over the heads of the living [x]beings there was something like an expanse, like the awesome gleam of crystal, spread out over their heads. 23 Under the expanse their wings were stretched out straight, one toward the other; each one also had two wings covering its body on the one side and on the other. 24 And I also heard the sound of their wings, like the sound of abundant waters as they went, like the voice of [y]the Almighty, a sound of a crowd like the sound of an army camp; whenever they stopped, they let down their wings. 25 And a voice came from above the expanse that was over their heads; whenever they stood still, they let down their wings.

26 Now above the expanse that was over their heads there was something resembling a throne, like [z]lapis lazuli in appearance; and on that which resembled a throne, high up, was a figure with the appearance of a man. 27 Then I [aa]noticed from the appearance of His waist and upward something like gleaming [ab]metal that looked like fire all around within it, and from the appearance of His waist and downward I saw something like fire; and there was a radiance around Him. 28 Like the appearance of the rainbow [ac]in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the surrounding radiance. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell on my face and heard a voice speaking.

Ezekiel 12

12 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 2 “Son of man, you live in the midst of the rebellious house, who have eyes to see but do not see, ears to hear but do not hear; for they are a rebellious house. 3 So as for you, son of man, prepare for yourself baggage for exile and go into exile by day in their sight; that is, go into exile from your place to another place in their sight. Perhaps they will [a]understand, though they are a rebellious house. 4 Bring your baggage out by day in their sight, as baggage for exile. Then you shall go out at evening in their sight, as those who are going into exile. 5 Dig a hole through the wall in their sight and [b]go out through it. 6 Load the baggage on your shoulder in their sight and carry it out in the dark. You shall cover your face so that you cannot see the land, for I have set you as a sign to the house of Israel.”

7 Then I did so, just as I had been commanded. By day I brought out my baggage like the baggage of an exile. Then in the evening I dug through the wall with my hands; I went out in the dark and carried the baggage on my shoulder in their sight.

8 And in the morning the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 9 “Son of man, has the house of Israel, the rebellious house, not said to you, ‘What are you doing?’ 10 Say to them, ‘This is what the Lord [c]God says: “This pronouncement concerns the prince in Jerusalem as well as all the house of Israel who are [d]in it.”’ 11 Say, ‘I am [e]a sign to you. Just as I have done, so it will be done to them; they will go into exile, into captivity.’ 12 The prince who is among them will load his baggage on his shoulder in the dark and go out. [f]They will dig a hole through the wall to bring it out through it. He will cover his face so that he cannot see the land with his eyes. 13 I will also spread My net over him, and he will be caught in My net. And I will bring him to Babylon in the land of the Chaldeans; yet he will not see it, though he will die there. 14 And I will scatter to every wind all who are around him, his helpers and all his troops; and I will draw out a sword after them. 15 So they will know that I am the Lord, when I disperse them among the nations and scatter them among the countries. 16 But I will [g]spare a few of them from the sword, the famine, and plague so that they may tell of all their abominations among the nations where they go, and [h]may know that I am the Lord.”

17 Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 18 “Son of man, eat your bread with trembling, and drink your water with quivering and anxiety. 19 Then say to the people of the land, ‘This is what the Lord God says concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem in the land of Israel: “They will eat their bread with anxiety and drink their water with horror, because [i]their land will be [j]stripped of its fullness on account of the violence of all who live in it. 20 The inhabited cities will be in ruins, and the land will be a desolation. So you will know that I am the Lord.”’”

21 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 22 “Son of man, what is this proverb you people have about the land of Israel, saying, ‘The days are long, and every vision fails’? 23 Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Lord God says: “I will put an end to this proverb so that they will no longer use it as a proverb in Israel.” But tell them, “The days are approaching as well as the [k]fulfillment of every vision. 24 For there will no longer be any [l]false vision or deceptive divination within the house of Israel. 25 For I the Lord will speak whatever word I speak, and it will be performed. It will no longer be delayed, for in your days, you rebellious house, I will speak the word and perform it,” declares the Lord God.’”

26 Furthermore, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 27 “Son of man, behold, the house of Israel is saying, ‘The vision that he sees is for many [m]years from now, and he prophesies of times far off.’ 28 Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Lord God says: “None of My words will be delayed any longer. Whatever word I speak will be performed,”’” declares the Lord God.

Ezekiel 18

1 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 2 “What do you people mean by using this proverb about the land of Israel, saying, ‘The fathers eat sour grapes,[a]But it is the children’s teeth that have become blunt’? 3 As I live,” declares the Lord [b]God, “you certainly are not going to use this proverb in Israel anymore. 4 Behold, all [c]souls are Mine; the [d]soul of the father as well as the [e]soul of the son is Mine. The [f]soul who sins will die.

Ezekiel 28

The word of the Lord came again to me, saying, 2 “Son of man, say to the [a]leader of Tyre, ‘The Lord [b]God says this:

“Because your heart is haughtyAnd you have said, ‘I am a god,I sit in the seat of [c]godsIn the heart of the seas’;Yet you are a mortal and not God,Although you make your heart like the heart of God—

3

Behold, you are wiser than Daniel; There is no secret that is a match for you!

4

By your wisdom and understandingYou have acquired riches for yourselfAnd have acquired gold and silver for your treasuries.

5

By your great wisdom, by your tradeYou have increased your riches,And your heart is haughty because of your riches—

6 Therefore this is what the Lord God says:

‘Because you have made your heartLike the heart of God,

1 Kings 17

Now Elijah the Tishbite, who was of [a]the settlers of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord, the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall certainly be neither dew nor rain during these years, except by my word.” 2 Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, 3 “Go away from here and turn eastward, and hide yourself by the brook Cherith, which is [b]east of the Jordan. 4 And it shall be that you will drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to provide food for you there.” 5 So he went and did everything according to the word of the Lord, for he went and lived by the brook Cherith, which is [c]east of the Jordan. 6 And the ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he would drink from the brook. 7 But it happened after a while that the brook dried up, because there was no rain in the land.

8 Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, 9 “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and stay there; behold, I have commanded a widow there to provide food for you.” 10 So he arose and went to Zarephath, and when he came to the entrance of the city, behold, a widow was there gathering sticks; and he called to her and said, “Please get me a little water in a [d]cup, so that I may drink.” 11 As she was going to get it, he called to her and said, “Please bring me a piece of bread in your hand.” 12 But she said, “As the Lord your God lives, I have no food, only a handful of flour in the [e]bowl and a little oil in the jar; and behold, I am gathering [f]a few sticks so that I may go in and prepare it for me and my son, so that we may [g]eat it and die.” 13 However, Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go, do as you have said. Just make me a little bread loaf from [h]it first and bring it out to me, and afterward you may make one for yourself and for your son. 14 For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel says: ‘The [i]bowl of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil become empty, until the day that the Lord provides rain on the face of the earth.’” 15 So she went and did everything in accordance with the word of Elijah, and she and he and her household ate for many days. 16 The [j]bowl of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil become empty, in accordance with the word of the Lord which He spoke through Elijah.

Zechariah 4

4 Then the angel who had been speaking with me returned and woke me, like a person who is awakened from his sleep. 2 And he said to me, “What do you see?” And I said, “I see, and behold, a lampstand all of gold with its bowl on the top of it, and its seven lamps on it with seven [a]spouts belonging to each of the lamps which are on the top of it; 3 also two olive trees by it, one on the right side of the bowl and the other on its left side.” 4 Then I said to the angel who was speaking with me, saying, “What are these, my lord?” 5 So the angel who was speaking with me answered and said to me, “Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, my lord.” 6 Then he said to [b]me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of armies. 7 ‘What are you, you great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain; and he will bring out the top stone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”’”

8 Also the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 9 “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house, and his hands will finish it. Then you will know that the Lord of armies has sent me to [c]you. 10 For who has shown contempt for the day of small things? [d]But these seven will rejoice when they see the [e]plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel—they are the eyes of the Lord roaming throughout the earth.”

11 Then I said to him, “What are these two olive trees on the right of the lampstand and on its left?” 12 And I responded the second time and said to him, “What are the two olive [f]branches which are beside the two golden pipes, which empty the golden oil from themselves?” 13 So he answered me, saying, “Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, my lord.” 14 Then he said, “These are the two [g]anointed ones, who are standing by the Lord of the whole earth.”
