The Leather Belt Bag is made from full-grain (i.e. super tough!) leather. This bag is made from the highest quality material and will prove to be extremely durable over time because it has been crafted to the highest quality standards in Old Mexico.

Materials

The Love 41 Leather Belt Bag  is made with full grain leather. 

Full grain leather is the equivalent of one of those 100 year slate stone rooves. The top layer of a leather hide has what's called grain. That is the tough and tight fiber top layer of any hide. It is resistant to water and stains and deterioration. When a hide is taken off of the cow, it is thick. So, they split it in half separating the lower half from the top half. Then they can sell two hides. One with the grain on it, from which we made this leather belt bag, and a lower grade without grain, that costs next to nothing, to make the low quality fall apart leather bags.  

Functionality


This is a far cry for the fanny packs of old...it's a beautiful way to carry a hands-free purse. This bag is great for travel or when you're out and about with kids because it will allow you to take your essentials with you but keep your hands available for all the other things you need to do. It has a zippered front pocket and a waist strap adjustable to fit most sizes.

The story behind this Leather Belt Bag:

I'll admit I'm a busy mom, but not nearly as busy as a lot of you ladies out there! I'm sure you'd all agree with me that we busy moms usually have our hands full and it's pretty tough to stop and dig through our purses for something. Well this is what I had in mind when I designed the Love 41 Waist Leather Bag. This baby is a hands-free bag and it's super comfortable as well. I think it happens to also be a great size because it's not too big and not too small. It has multiple compartments inside to help you keep all your items organized (big plus!). This is the first belt bag I've ever created that has zippers and I'm really excited about the design. Whether you're a busy mom with lots of kiddos or just a woman on-the-go, the Waist Leather Bag will help you feel organized and keep convenience at your waist!

    Not Your 80s Fanny Pack

    I purchased the Caramel because I suspected it might be more supple right out of the box than the standard colors, and I wanted something less stiff to be strapped to my hip. It’s wonderful! I often carry the now retired Small Clutch to the store, but this is easier to get into and close, and it holds more! Very pleased!

    Travel made convenient and cool

    Of course Love 41 could make a fanny pack super cool! The best travel companion, yet! Pockets big enough for my wallet, passport, phone and more, but still small enough to be comfortable and super light. With 6-8 international trips a year, my shoulders no longer feel the weight of carrying my essentials. Everything is safe, easy to access and keeps me free to explore!

    Love this bag

    I got the DCB color and I considered it as my ready to GO bag. It's very functional, I can just use it on my short stops (grocery, post office, etc). I will put it in my tote bag and I can take it out easily without bringing the whole bag at all. Very convenient to put all my necessities such as my car keys, small lotion, phone and my mini wallet.I am planning to get another one in tobacco color.

    If I could give 10 stars I would

    This bag can be a wallet, a clutch, a crossbody bag, an extra pouch or as it was intended, a belt bag. It's probably the most perfect errand bag I own. I removed the belt (but will use it when I'm at a festival or flea market ) I added two brass rings to the loops in the back and borrowed a crossbody strap from another bag to make it into a crossbody bag. For everyday quick trips I have a wristlet strap that I attach to the rings. It can also be attached to the exterior of a backpack or duffel using the spring loaded rings or a carabiner. It's got so much room, but is still small enough to be a clutch or wallet. I keep all my cards and cash in the front pocket and use the main section for everything else including my phone. It holds it all with room to spare. Perfect for a quick trip without having to carry a big bag.
