Love to Play Chess? Best Board EVER
Do you like leather? If you're already on this site I'm guessing, duh. Do you play chess? No Brainer.... Okay, this is a luxury, you probably don't NEED this... but it's freaking awesome. If you've got the cash, it will probably last forever, a worthwhile investment. I've had it for years now and it's still in great shape. When I first received (one of my) favorite Christmas presents of all time, it didn't even come with the kick-ass pig skin leather pouches for the pieces (I got them separately later, very very worth it). In conclusion... it rocks, good piece weight, amazing board and pouches, cool travel functionality, and honestly some folk will probably fight over this after I'm dead.

Excellent chess set! Small modification of checkers makes it perfect
This chess set is very well made. The quality is evident upon first glance. Some reviews have commented on the checkers pieces causing scratches. I was able to trim these down with small scissors and round the edges with leather conditioner and the edge of a pair of scissors. They are now smooth on all edges and an excellent addition to the set.

Love everything saddleback... I have something of every color.. Even the retired colors.. these were numbers 19 and 20 purchased by me.... Unless I'm forgetting something. Lol

I bought the chess set for my husband's birthday and it was 100% worth the wait - he is over the moon, and we can't wait to travel the world with our daughters, play a round or two in the evening, and just enjoy life as chess buddies!
