A 2% Detail

This leather document holder is a small detail about your presentation that wins people over to your point of view. It won't close deals or get you a promotion, but it certainly won't hurt your cause. One Piece Design

It is made with only one solid piece of full grain leather. It costs more for us to use just one piece instead of using 2,3, or 4 because we have more scrap leather to use up after cutting. It's one of those quality details that is important to us that most people would never notice. Seams are a places where things begin falling apart. The fewer seams, the longer it will last.

Leather

We only use Full Grain Leather for this leather doucment holder because it is the toughest, most resistant and longest lasting leather there is. The top level of any hide has what is called "grain" on it. Super strong and tightly woven together fibers. Low quality companies buy the leather that is the bottom half of the hide that has been split away from the top half with the grain. That's like buying a roof without shingles.

Lining

We lined this leather doucment holder with pigskin because it's so so strong and smooth on the inside.

Thread

There are a lot of cheap threads out there that fall apart and deteriorate with heat or with UV sunlight rays. Ours does not. Trust me here. It's a UV resistant continuous filament thread. It's what this leather document holder is sewn with.

Closure

Leather butterfly strap closure accommodates a stack of documents. Intended for 8.5 x 11 papers (A4 size). Will not fit a notepad. Fits A4 (letter) size file folders.

Simple Leather Elegance - Form Happily Following Function

I am the proud owner (and gift giver) of many Saddleback Leather products through the years. This item caught my attention as a means to organize and transport papers and documents I am currently working on. After working it into a softer piece, something I compulsively do with all my Saddleback goods, I am pleased that it stylishly serves its intended purpose. Fits the iPad Pro 12.9

I bought this document holder hoping that it would fit the iPad Pro 12.9, and it does fit! You can even fit the Apple Pencil in the case. Keep in mind, if your iPad Pro has a cover on it, the additional bulk may make for a tight fit. The tobacco leather is velvety soft, and the pigskin lining is soft as well. Very well made. Nice work, Saddleback!
