    The new style is trimmer

    I found this new style laptop sleeve appealing. The sleeve is quite a bit trimmer than the previous sleeve and fits well in my Saddleback Leather satchel. I see Saddleback Leather is back to black, which is fine, expect my products are all from the carbon era. Also I too find the fit of the sleeve to be loose. I use the sleeve just to protect my laptop in my Saddleback Leather satchel. The sleeve never leaves the satchel, so I am not too worried about the loose fit. In fact I favour the loose fit when accessing my laptop inside my satchel. I wouldn't carry my laptop in this sleeve as a primary case without some kind of strap. The build, fit and finish is what I would expect of Saddleback Leather. The sales staff were very helpful in trimming down my shipping costs to Canada.

    Nice and functional but could be improved

    This sleeve starts our very snug. So snug you have to shake the laptop out quite vigorously, after a week it loosens up so the laptop just falls out. A much better more protective design would have a flap with straps to hold the laptop in and protect it all around. It would ad bulk but I don't feel that's an issue when protecting an expensive laptop. - Noel

    Simply Too Big

    I will start by saying that I LOVE Saddleback products, but this sleeve is ridiculously too big for my 13" MBP w/retina. It's a half inch too wide and you can stick your entire hand in the sleeve WITH the computer in the sleeve. It is so loose that the computer could pop out of the case just while walking briskly. I am truly stunned by how bad this product is and I cannot express to you enough that I am not hating on Saddleback because I have loved every product I have ever bought from here EXCEPT this one. I don't know what else to say except that I am hugely disappointed and I wanted to love this product. I ignored the other reviews and bought it...don't make the same mistake I did, this sleeve is a bad, bad fit.

    Nothing better out there

    Been using this sleeve for about two months and just love it. I have the 15 inch version for Retina Display. The fit was originally very tight to the point of having difficulty removing my MacBook, but after “breaking it in” for a few days it now fits securely with no chance of it sliding out unintentionally. I think the look and feel of this sleeve can’t be matched by any else out there and the quality is first rate. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again.

    Love It!

    This product is everything I expected. Great protection for my 13 inch Mac Pro with retina. Not sure what the "old" model looked like but this one is very sharp. Yes- if you turn it upside down the the computer may fall out. Not an issue for me. It is also the perfect size to carry files in. Thinking of buying another one just for that purpose.
