This new Leather Log Carrier design is made with chrome tanned leather and natural veg tanned handles. It's fully lined with pigskin on the suede side to make sure this is the most durable Leather Log Carrier you can find. Made with no breakable parts and stainless steel 316 hardware.
I bought my log carrier several years ago and am happy to see that Dave brought it back, and not because I'll need another one. I'm good for the next 97 years, but am happy to know that others will now be able to get one as well. To be clear, $160 is nothing to sneeze at, especially these days, but prior to buying my SBL carrier, I had a canvas one. It cost about $40, was uncomfortable, didn't hold as much, and lasted one season before tearing. So, yeah, this one will take about four years to pay for itself from a pure dollar standpoint. That said, unlike other carriers I've used, this one is limited only by how much you can lift. My wife carries in about five logs. I carry about eight, and my son lugs in twelve at a time. It also looks nice sitting next to the fireplace. Personally, I recommend the Tobacco because that one starts out rustic and, trust me, it will get beat up quickly...assuming you are using it right :-) Anyway, hope this helps and know that your SBL log carrier is more durable than you are!!
