What People Think
Excellent choice for executive getaway.
Beautiful, functional, perfect
It can hold anywhere from 2-6 days of clothing (business) or more (casual). It flawlessly fits on even the smallest jets, makes a great seat in busy airports, and even just looks good in a room at your destination.
While I wanted something that I liked and was going to last, the constant compliments from airline stewards has been getting a little weird.
Beautiful
I have been lusting over the suitcases for years now, but I just couldn't bear to have to part with such a nice piece of gear at check-in. When the carry on size appeared, I snatched one up.
The size is perfect, and I haven't had to gate check it yet. It has, so far, fit well in all of the overhead bins of standard size commercial jets. I have been waiting to see how it fits in a smaller jet's overhead bin, and I am pleased to say that, while it took a little conversation with the bag, it did fit in the overhead of a CRJ-200.
I usually travel for 4 nights and am able to put 5 days worth of clothes in there (not winter gear...). For my most recent trip, I had to take my 17" Dell Laptop with me, and it fit with no trouble along with all the clothes. The bag is a bit on the heavy side, and with the laptop, it was almost too heavy for me (I am a gal...), so the shoulder strap was very helpful there.
When it is not traveling, it lives on display on top of the bookcase at home. I love this thing.

Explanation of Why You Need This Leather Luggage in Your Life
Get respect without saying a word when you go to the airport or hotel with this leather luggage. It's the perfect size for carrying everything you will need without being too big or bulky. And it has a classic luggage style that never goes out of fashion.
So if you're looking for full grain leather luggage that will last, this is the one for you.
Like most people, you've probably had your fair share of broken suitcases and luggage. It's enough to make anyone want to give up on traveling. But with leather luggage like this, you don't have to think about that anymore.
Respect:
Your respect level at airports and hotels will elevate substantially. You will get as many compliments with it sitting next to your sofa as you will at the airport. We all claim, well, most of us claim, that we do not judge someone by their luggage. But we all do; it is human nature.
Luggage says a lot about a person and first impressions matter. Ensure your luggage makes the correct statement by investing in high-quality, full-grain leather. It is the personal details you shout without whispering a word, just by the type of luggage you have. It says you care about quality; you don't want to buy something that will not last.
Leather Luggage for Good Health:
It's good for you to carry things like this piece of leather luggage and things that don't have wheels. A lifetime of using your muscle will add years to your physical ability when you're old.
It's common practice to wear leg weights, carry weights in your leather luggage, or purposefully take the stairs to grow and maintain strength. Also, adding more salad to the diet and drinking more water than before. All of these things contribute to our overall health in small ways. May I suggest you stop the gym membership and start mowing your own yard? How many fat out of shape landscapers do you know?
Design of this Leather Luggage
The leather carry on was purposefully designed without wheels for 2 reasons.
Aesthetics:
Wheels look bad with this old classic leather suitcase style (Imagine a $15,000 suit with roller skates). However, this is functional art, so you can put it next to your desk or sofa when not traveling.
Longevity:
Wheels on leather suitcases and leather luggage break. And when they do, they're done with. In the closet and eventually at the Salvation Army.
Functionality of The Hardsided Leather Luggage
One time, we were doing a two month trip around the world, filming a documentary on the making of our canvas line, Mountainback. There were my wife and I, our two little kids, and our filmmaker, Joe. We had nine 50 lb. leather suitcases, Beast Leather Duffle bags, and 10 leather carry ons.
We were packed for cold weather (Scotland, Australia, and New Zealand) and hot weather (Kenya and Rwanda). We also had 2 large carry-ons per person. So I'm sure you can imagine the size of vehicles we needed to rent to carry us and our things. Well, when we got to Australia, low and behold, they only had tiny little vehicles to rent.
This would have stressed out any traveler with average luggage, but not us. I took the two removable belts off of our suitcases and strapped most of the leather luggage to the roof rack. This valise has removable belts too.
The valise is relatively lightweight, but it's not built so lightweight that it falls apart. The interior is just one simple wide open space with a pigskin flap on the top for separating the clean from the dirty.
Durability
On the first major trip with my original larger valise, I carried it and my leather briefcase throughout Eastern Europe and North Africa for 6 weeks. And about 3 weeks into it, the valise handle broke. The complexity that caused and the energy I exerted because of that broken handle made me swear I would never let that happen to anyone who carried one of my valises. The handle is now hand-sewn with a boot-cord body and bolted to the body.
There are no breakable parts like zippers, snaps, or buttons. Using those is like putting a cardboard hatch on a billion-dollar submarine. Once the hatch gives, the submarine is worthless. Instead of metal hinges, I designed it with two layers of full grain leather along the back and reinforced straps to hold the top open. The body is primarily handsewn with heavy-duty waxed boot cord for added strength.
Carry On With Room For Your Trip Essentials
From your clothes to your toiletries and other gear, this will handle what you need on your carry-on. For the average person, this can hold everything for 1 person for 4 days or 2 people for 2 days.
Business travelers love this luggage because they have enough room to fit what they need for a quick flight.
Excellent Leather
This leather valise was built entirely with full-grain leather. Here's why that is so important. The leather's grain is on the top of the hide and is the most durable part. The grain helps it age handsomely and stay water resistant (cows are waterproof, right?) All leather has grain... to start.
Most companies try to make their valises, duffle bags, and other leather luggage for the lowest price possible. To do this, they buy low quality, heavily scarred leather, split or shave off the scars and blemishes (along with all of the grain), and make a valise. Now they can use every inch of the hide. If they shave off some of the grain, that's top grain leather. If they shave all of it off or split the hide in half, then that's called genuine or split leather. We WANT as much grain on our valises and other baggage as we can get. We want it all. Therefore, we must select two thick hides with almost no imperfections to make each leather valise. And then, entirely unnecessarily, I lined the valise interior with tough, durable pigskin.
Full Grain Leather Shoulder Strap
When you put this on your shoulder, you will notice the quality of this nice thick shoulder strap. With an adjustable pad that adds that extra layer of soft comfort, these are just a few more features that we put into this luggage.
Leather Luggage Tags Look Great on This Leather Luggage
Be sure to grab some of our leather luggage tags to go along with this. A leather luggage tag will ensure you don't cheapen the look of your travel gear. With exquisite yet rugged leather luggage like this, please don't make it stand out from some cheap plastic luggage tag. Instead, let it stand out for the fine workmanship and materials that make this luggage. We hope you enjoy this luggage as much as we do.
