Perfect
I'm a pipeline corrosion technician so i have to do very technical things in extreme environments. This is the perfect pad. I throw it around in dust and rocks and wind and snow and the paper still stays untouched. I'm on my third year with this bad boy, I have gone through countless pads, and this baby is just looking better and better.

Perfect field writing desk system
I write in the field a lot, hauling myself and my gear by bicycle. The small holds (2) Field Notes Pitch Black Note Books, my pencil, and my Kindle PaperWhite (great for reference!), and opens up to be a perfect writing desk. Hearty and simple as all get out.

Beauty and Function
I bought the medium from Dave's Deals in chestnut as a Christmas gift. It was very difficult not to keep for myself. Nice thick leather and typical SB quality.

It’s plastic and not leather
I ordered this product after buying into the hype. I thought I was buying high end soft and supple leather. I was wrong. I got a plastic coated notepad holder with obvious round dimples that are easily visible to the eye. After a full year of ownership, it has not soften or smoothed out. I hate it. It looks crappy and cheap. My wallet is the same thing. From reading the reviews on reddit, they degraded their quality at the time I ordered. I wish I knew. This also seems to impact dark coffee brown the most and not tobacco. Do a little research on reddit, you can see the before and after pictures of when Saddleback decided to go cheap.
