I received the package Thursday. The leather smells better than the best perfume. I chose the chestnut bag. Took it to work today and I'm so pleased with all that I can carry in it. I'll get to take it to church Sunday if the weather isn't bad. Thanks Dave for blessing me with a key ring. I really appreciate all the detail that goes into your products. I consider them money well spent. Be blessed.

Great Companion To A Briefcase Or Backpack

I am lucky enough to have a Job were I have a good size desk with a docking station for my laptop and a big screen monitor. It was nice being able to quickly grab my laptop and put it in my Squared Backpack with everything else I needed if I desired to work outside of the office.

At some point I realized the power of Microsoft Office's cloud service and how seamlessly it worked with my android smartphone. So I decided to get the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 because of it's Hancom Office Suite app (Which in my opinion is just like having MS Office on your android device) which syncs with my Microsoft Cloud server. With that being said, I got to the point were I was only needing my tablet to do work outside of the office. I had a HUGE issue at that point. I was using a HUGE backpack for the purpose of primarily carrying a tablet from the office to Starbucks. So I decided to look for something smaller.

It was during my search for something smaller that I first notice the Saddleback Messenger Bag. I figured it would be the bag I would get; however, I was not a fan of the vertical rectangle nature of the bag. Then I saw the Saddleback Tablet bag.

The Saddleback Tablet Bag was everything I was looking for in terms of style. There was only one problem... The Saddleback Tablet Bag was made for iPad sized devices and not 12.2 inch laptop replacement tablets. I wasn't sure how it would work out; but I took the plunge anyway and ordered it.

To my surprise, my Note Pro 12.2 was able to fit (***It is a very tight squeeze***) with much prayer! Hahaha:-)

The tablet is able to fit in the main pocket while being connected to a bluetooth keyboard case. In addition to the tablet and case, I am able to fit a thinline Bible in the main pocket while putting a bluetooth mouse and tablet charger in the front pocket. There is room to spare in the front pocket in case I wanted to throw my keys and or a pack of gum in there.

I was on the fence about getting this bag because I did not know if my tablet would fit; so here are the dimensions of my Galaxy Note 12.2. If you tablet is smaller than this then it will fit: (11.64 x 8.03 x 0.31 in)

Overall I am very pleased with this bag because it is a small and light heavy duty Saddleback product that fits the needs of the guy or gal who only needs to carry a tablet and accessories. It is also perfect for the folks out there who have turned their tablet into a truly business/work machine.

thanks,

My 2nd tablet bag!

I loved my tablet bag in chestnut so well that I bought another ... this time in tobacco. I grabbed it because it was the only color left in stock at the time. I have to say I was sort of surprised when I got it because it was darker than the picture on the web; it was more a true tobacco, as it is called. But as I used it, it sort of lightened up. In short ... I LOVE it and I can't wait until the carbon and the dark brown are back in stock. I carry my iPad mini in the small front pocket and generally use the iPad compartment as a purse. Of course, the iPad fits perfectly in the large compartment, even in its Saddleback iPad case (which was my first introduction to Saddleback Leather). But this is the PURSE I have been dreaming about for years - not too big, not too small. The bag is incredibly comfortable to carry; the cross-body design distributes the weight so that it doesn't feel heavy at all. I have it adjusted so that my right arm has a convenient resting place, as well. I can't tell you how many compliments I have had on this bag (both colors). Everyone wants to know where I got it! Then they see my matching large wallet ........... :)

Marvelous Bag

I got this bag in Tobacco for Christmas and I absolutely love it! The perfect size for the items that I carry on a daily basis. I'm able to hold my bible and moleskin (in a saddleback cover) with the necessary cables in my main compartment. In the front compartment I'm able to fit my ipad mini. This bag is just perfect and it was quite the gift indeed!

Love this completely and utterly

Had my eye on the small satchel for a couple of years but always worried that in the end it'd be a bit big for regular use. Then this beauty came out just in time for my 40th - and it is perfect. Not too big, but room for everything for a couple of days round London (phone, purse, keys, tickets, can of pop, few little bits of shopping). Strap has plenty of adjustability to suit, and basically it is just brilliant. Oh, and my ipad fits in in its saddleback case too, although I won't do that too often. You'll love it like I do. Get one! (And always, always go for tobacco...well, I do - four pieces and counting....)

The leather used in this leather tablet bag is full grain cowhide, which is the strongest and most durable type of leather available.

Design Of The Front Pocket Leather Satchel

This leather satchel can also be called a Man Bag. And rightly so. It is over-engineered with no breakable parts like snaps, buttons, zippers, velcro, etc. Anywhere there is a stress point, it is reinforced with polyester straps and rivets. It's built with just two main pieces of leather, so there are fewer seams. And the stitching on this leather satchel is purposeful with only five stitches per inch, so there's as much leather as possible without it looking weird, so it won't be perforated and shortly tear. This satchel makes the most incredible Leather Tablet Bag.

Materials To Make The Coolest Leather Tablet Bag

The leather used in this satchel is full grain cowhide, which is the strongest and most durable type of leather available. The lining is made of pigskin, which is stronger than cowhide, and the thread is a marine-grade German Polyester thread that is UV resistant. The hardware is made of 316 Stainless Steel, which is the metal of choice when your life depends on it. You can not find the quality of materials used anywhere else.

Full Grain Leather

Our full grain cow leather is the strongest there is. And it's thicker than boot leather. It's not Top Grain or Genuine, but natural Full Grain leather. Low quality and life companies shave off their grain, the toughest and most resistant top part of the hide, to get rid of the natural marks of the cow, so they don't have to cut around them and throw so much leather away. They can use almost every bit of that hide.

Their target customer will shop by price rather than care about the critical information about the materials used. They are trying to reach the uneducated, those that will take less time to research quality before they order. To make our leather satchels, we must throw a lot of leather away because we refuse to shave the grain off. Imagine someone shaving the shingles off of your roof. They'd get arrested, and these people should be too.

Lining Of This Tablet Satchel

The pigskin lining is stronger than the cow skin, and that's why we use it to line our leather satchel instead of some pretty shiny nylon fabric with a neat world map on it.

Thread To Keep Your iPad Pro Safe

The thread is strangely strong. It's a marine grade UV resistant German thread made of Polyester. It's more expensive than all the other threads, but for a reason. When someone's life is on the line, you can depend on it. They sew parachutes, sails, and other important things with this thread. If your life ever depends on this leather satchel staying together, you'll live to tell that story because of this thread.

The Best Hardware

Our hardware is custom, and it's overkill. People who know told me it's unnecessary, and we're wasting money using 316 Stainless Steel, but I tell them that we have never once had a problem with our hardware. It's the metal of choice when your life depends on it.

Functionality Of This Leather Tablet Satchel

This leather tablet bag, or leather iPad bag, depending on your preference for Apple products, or android products, will protect your device just as well. It's big enough to fit an iPad Pro and several other items. As a full grain leather man bag, it will help you have a place for all your stuff, so you don't have to load your pockets down or have your wife carry everything in her leather purse or tote.

The straps are adjustable, so you can make it as tight or loose as you want.

I chose a buckle closure to be able to overstuff (with a hole at the very tip of the strap, just in case). Or you can put it at the tip of the leather satchel to secure an umbrella under the flap but over the main compartment. And the front pocket under the flap is fantastic for keeping things separate.
