Love love love!!!

I actually bought this to use as a purse. After wavering between the hobo purse and this one, I chose this. I like the design of this bag a lot. The shape, the size, and the features are perfect. The style of the bag is actually the trend everywhere you look. It's lightweight and small, but fits all of the essentials. I'm seriously obsessed with Saddleback bags. I have 5 Saddleback bags so far and I LOVE them! For the quality and warranty of these bags, I'll take these bags over a "designer" one any day. I also feel good buying from Saddleback knowing that they are a socially responsible company. These bags are worth every penny!!

LOVE!!!

All of my Saddleback bags that I've purchased thus far have been been used as a purse/handbag. This is my third Saddleback purchase and I LOVE it! I was debating between this bag and the hobo purse and this one won. Honestly, you can't beat the price either. The hobo was a little too big for a "smaller" purse to add to my collection. I also like the look of this bag better. I have the 2012 limited edition small briefcase in carbon black, the medium dry bag in tobacco, and now this tablet bag in chestnut. I am a handbag collecting freak and I have many of them! However, my three Saddleback bags are my pride and joy! I love when new designs come out because I buy these bags as a gift to myself. I love the quality of the leather bags as well as what the company stands for. This bag really is simple and light yet has enough compartments to keep you organized.



If you are a woman and looking for a simple good looking purse (the look of this bag is quite the trend right now actually) you will LOVE this bag!

Amazing Quality Bag!

Bought this bag for my partner's birthday. She wanted a new purse that was thin and functional. We actually picked it out together. The size was perfect and the quality of this bag is amazing!! The price is very reasonable too. We were both very impressed by the leather quality, stitching, pocket sizes/placements and other small details that make this piece a work of art.



I've always been impressed by the quality of Saddleback products and this bag was exactly what she was wanted. There's also lots of room...and there's 4 compartments! The coffee color is a nice balance between the black and brown and appears to match with just about everything. We have no doubt that this bag will last for 100 years...and possibly a 100 more.



Thanks for setting the bar high. We can't think of a company that produces higher quality leather products! Money well spent! If you'e interested in purchasing a leather product with exceptional craftsmanship, look no further. This is the real deal.

Not too big. Not too small. Just right!

It's rare that I don't have my Saddleback large Satchel with me when I leave the house. It has plenty of room for my camera gear, iPad Mini, and other items. But when I travel light with just a Fujifilm X-E2 camera and iPad, the Satchel feels too big. I need something smaller. This Classic Tablet Bag is the answer.



It has room for my camera, iPad Mini, and even my Levenger Circa junior size notebook in the main compartment. The iPad Mini also fits in the front pocket. This bag is not too big or too small. It's just right. It looks great in DCB and is built like a tank (of course).



Like my other Saddleback bag, people ask me about it, so my only suggestion is to include more than 2 of Dave's business cards when the bags are shipped. They disappear fast!

Design Of The Front Pocket Leather Satchel

This leather satchel can also be called a Man Bag. And rightly so. It is over-engineered with no breakable parts like snaps, buttons, zippers, velcro, etc. Anywhere there is a stress point, it is reinforced with polyester straps and rivets. It's built with just two main pieces of leather, so there are fewer seams. And the stitching on this leather satchel is purposeful with only five stitches per inch, so there's as much leather as possible without it looking weird, so it won't be perforated and shortly tear. This satchel makes the most incredible Leather Tablet Bag.

Materials To Make The Coolest Leather Tablet Bag

The leather used in this satchel is full grain cowhide, which is the strongest and most durable type of leather available. The lining is made of pigskin, which is stronger than cowhide, and the thread is a marine-grade German Polyester thread that is UV resistant. The hardware is made of 316 Stainless Steel, which is the metal of choice when your life depends on it. You can not find the quality of materials used anywhere else.

Full Grain Leather

Our full grain cow leather is the strongest there is. And it's thicker than boot leather. It's not Top Grain or Genuine, but natural Full Grain leather. Low quality and life companies shave off their grain, the toughest and most resistant top part of the hide, to get rid of the natural marks of the cow, so they don't have to cut around them and throw so much leather away. They can use almost every bit of that hide.

Their target customer will shop by price rather than care about the critical information about the materials used. They are trying to reach the uneducated, those that will take less time to research quality before they order. To make our leather satchels, we must throw a lot of leather away because we refuse to shave the grain off. Imagine someone shaving the shingles off of your roof. They'd get arrested, and these people should be too.

Lining Of This Tablet Satchel

The pigskin lining is stronger than the cow skin, and that's why we use it to line our leather satchel instead of some pretty shiny nylon fabric with a neat world map on it.

Thread To Keep Your iPad Pro Safe

The thread is strangely strong. It's a marine grade UV resistant German thread made of Polyester. It's more expensive than all the other threads, but for a reason. When someone's life is on the line, you can depend on it. They sew parachutes, sails, and other important things with this thread. If your life ever depends on this leather satchel staying together, you'll live to tell that story because of this thread.

The Best Hardware

Our hardware is custom, and it's overkill. People who know told me it's unnecessary, and we're wasting money using 316 Stainless Steel, but I tell them that we have never once had a problem with our hardware. It's the metal of choice when your life depends on it.

Functionality Of This Leather Tablet Satchel

This leather tablet bag, or leather iPad bag, depending on your preference for Apple products, or android products, will protect your device just as well. It's big enough to fit an iPad Pro and several other items. As a full grain leather man bag, it will help you have a place for all your stuff, so you don't have to load your pockets down or have your wife carry everything in her leather purse or tote.

The straps are adjustable, so you can make it as tight or loose as you want.

I chose a buckle closure to be able to overstuff (with a hole at the very tip of the strap, just in case). Or you can put it at the tip of the leather satchel to secure an umbrella under the flap but over the main compartment. And the front pocket under the flap is fantastic for keeping things separate.

    Great little Bag
    This is my second Saddleback Leather bag but one of many different Saddleback products I own. As usual the quality of the stitching and leather is top notch. I really appreciate the construction of this bag (which utilizes a similar build as the rounded satchel). Its a very comfortable size for carrying over long walks and many hours. I use it to hold my bible and other books while I engage in a volunteer ministry work. Its just the right size to fit everything I need.
