    6 Years and Still Kicking

I purchased my wallet in 2012 and am only now, almost 6 years later, looking to replace it. Originally purchased in tobacco brown, my wallet has darkened significantly from handling and wear. The stitching has held up beautifully, despite being an every day carry. My only issue, which others have mentioned previously, the leather stretching. It's a thing that leather does, though. Three years in, I cut back on the number of cards I carried, but had to continue carrying them to fill out the pocket. This isn't a design flaw. This isn't some malfunction. It is simply how leather works. One of the pockets is starting to tear where it stretched and it rubs against the pocket as I remove it.

Great design, enough room for all essentials

Got this wallet 6 months ago and it has only gotten more beautiful since (although it ages slowly, you won't see that much patina in such a short time span). Mine is a chestnut one from Dave's Deals—yet I couldn't find any flaws. Chestnut looks great and has darkened a tiny little bit over time. It easily holds 2 cards in the ID pocket, 2 cards in the pocket behind that, and 2 cards in each of the 2 pockets on the other side—and I could squeeze in another card in each pocket if I'd have to. IMO, the middle pocket fits more bills than most reviewers say—you can easily put in way more than 5 bills but the more the harder it is to get the cards out since the pockets get tighter. Also, dollar bills do not protrude, they fit perfectly and completely disappear (and so do up to 20€ bills, my fellow Europeans). Only if you try to stick in many bills they will protrude a little bit, but I never cared about that. Also, there was no break-in time with my wallet. Since I only put 2 cards in each pocket it was and is always fairly easy to get them out (I also own the Medium ID bifold wallet and there it was really difficult initially). All in all, a really great, beautiful, slim and sturdy front pocket wallet that holds everything you need.

Love the size but I’m weary about losing cards

I ordered the Saddleback Front Pocket ID wallet 4-years ago (ordered through Amazon, Saddleback was the seller) and I’ve been mostly pleased with it. The size is perfect and visually it has darkened and held up better than expected. My only complaint is that once you put two cards in a slot, you’re forever stuck with keeping two cards in that slot. I recently tried to go minimal on my wallet and cards were falling out with ease and I’ve been forced to put unexessaey cards back in to remedy this. If I could go back in time I would’ve kept 3-5 cards in this thing max. I’m never one to abuse a warranty but I did reach out to Saddleback about perhaps a discount on the same wallet or a different wallet (wasn’t trying to get one for free) and they never replied. I figure it was a small price to pay and I’ve mostly had a good experience with it. My suggestion is to be mindful of how many cards you put in this thing and just know that if you ever decide to decrease the bulk, you’ll be dealing with an issue of cards fitting very poorly. Brett

    Great wallet but kills cards

I love my wallet, I've had it for over 7 years now. But.... It absolutely murders credit cards. I've had to replace my debit card 3 times, the latest being because of chip malfunction. I've had to replace my credit card twice. I don't think it is an inconvenience too taxing to dissuade you from buying this wallet though. Absolutely love it (especially since it was $25 when I got it). Buyer beware.
