    Used to be BEST wallet, now is the WORST

    I purchased the original version of this wallet in September of 2012 and was immediately impressed with the design and quality and continued to be impressed every single day. This wallet would have lived a lot longer than me had it not been stolen last month. I ordered a replacement and was very disappointed in the new design. The quality is still there, but the wallet having openings at the side and bottom makes it completely useless, at least for my needs. I can't imagine that cash would stay put in there without falling out (I never use cash) but because of this I lost the ability to hold other materials in there which greatly reduced the usability of the wallet... well, ok, it pretty much made it unusable. The design was so bizarre I thought it had to have been a mistake when I first saw it. I would literally pay you another $25 just to sew the side and bottom to make it like the original model. I had to return the wallet and am still looking for something that comes close to the perfect wallet that you used to make!

    Big NO on the redesign

    I bought an original about 10 years ago and another in 2019 pre-redesign as my first was lost. I found it later and put the 2nd away. I now have 3 boys who are new drivers and I wanted to give them all this wallet with cards for their birthdays. Now I have to choose which kid gets the nice 2019 wallet :( Not sure why the old design can't be a choice too? New design is a fail.

    Loved it - for a while...

    I do love this minimalist wallet -- though I just read in another review that since I purchased mine, the bottom has been opened up (mine was sewn on 3 sides) and I definitely would NOT like the 2-sided open version. Here's why -- and the reason for negating 1 star: I've owned and loved it for a few years now, however, it has become too stretched after breaking-in, with the unhappy result of my cards falling out on their own much too easily. This happens with both the outer card slots, as well as with the front ID slot. Now perhaps it's my fault for storing more than 1 card per slot, but I believe that the slots were designed to hold more than 1 card each. So, I plan to order a different Saddleback wallet, because I do love their products.
