Read MoreA front pocket wallet is a must-have accessory for any man. This minimalist wallet was designed to be unnoticeable in the front pocket. To give it the smallest profile of any wallet like it, I designed it with the top and side unsewn so cash folds and then slides in and is easy to pull out without pulling out your whole wad. There are two card slots to stack up to 5 or 6 cards after the leather stretches. So you have one spot for cards or a fishing license behind the ID window and then space enough to slide cards in behind the ID. That's where I keep a folded up $20 bill that my wife can't find, just in case.
---Everyone knows Saddleback Leather Co is all about over-engineering, made to last. We can do this because we do not go cheap on our materials to make the best leather wallet. We only use the toughest materials we can find.
---Cashiers will compliment you on your front pocket leather wallet because we made it with full grain, so it ages way more nicely because it still has all of the pores on it. The leather will only get better looking over time.
---Instead of using a thin, shiny, pretty nylon fabric for wallet lining, we line this leather wallet with real pigskin, which is tougher than cow leather. That attached to our super tough full grain leather is how we can offer a 100-year Warranty.
---We sewed it with a marine-grade polyester continuous filament thread, which is strong and resistant. This type of thread is used to sew ship sails and parachutes because it cannot break easily. Even though it costs more than nylon thread, this kind will last much longer.
I own three Saddleback products, and should have known better than to doubt. I was one of the companies biggest critics on Social Media after it decided to switch to "storied and scarred" leather without relaying a downward price adjustment to its consumers. I liked the idea of providing my own scars and stories, and thought that an already-marked up facade would detract from my enjoyment of the product. Well, last week I washed my wallet, and it came time to find a suitable replacement. With some apprehension, I found myself back on the Saddleback website. I ordered the pocket ID wallet in tobacco, and sent a follow up email requesting "an unscarred piece if possible, and otherwise the most awesome scarring you can find." Well, the wallet arrived after some USPS confusion (to which the Saddleback team reps were, as always, extremely attentive), and...it's beautiful. There's a quarter inch slash across the front, and I surprised myself by how amenable to it I was. It has a story, to be sure, but also adds another, sort of rugged and carefree dimension that is just perfect for a product in Tobacco. I might still hesitate to order a bag or other larger item with the "storied" scarring, but for a wallet I couldn't be happier. As it stands, my bag in Chestnut (which, as I understand it, still uses un-"blemished" leather) gets the job done, and my scarred Tobacco wallet does the same. As to the wallet, itself - the stitching, as usual, is sturdy and even, and the leather smells like...Saddleback. I fit 10 cards into the wallet from the get-go - the money pocket, as mentioned in other reviews, is a little tight, and there is some slight bending to some of the outer cards during this breaking-in period (nothing that looks to be permanent). On the whole - it's exactly what i wanted, and it's sure to last a heck of a lot longer than the wallet I am replacing. I am an absolute Saddleback convert. I look for things to criticize - and to be sure there will always be a few - but this is a company that has earned my trust and I company that I regret questioning. I've been disciplined with my spending, but it's hard to pick up one Saddleback product and not start scouting out the next. I believe, and you should too.

I've owned my ID wallet for over 2 years now and absolutely love it! It hasn't shown any signs of falling apart or weaknesses yet. I was a little worried when I ran it and my cash through a full wash cycle, but I just left it out to air dry and it was the exact same as before. Great products!

I have been using a front pocket wallet for many years and have tried them from several deferent manufacturers. I just received my wallet from Saddleback Leather Company and it is by far the highest quality and best construction of any I have seen. A great product and simply better than the rest.

This is more than a wallet, it's a lifestyle choice. I find that the problem with many wallets today is that they have too much space, so three months later you find you're sitting on a six inch literal pain in the ass slab of receipts and loyalty cards for lazer printing shops that inexplicably went out of business in the late 80's. So, if you want to carry around all of that trash I say go get yourself a purse, I'll keep my brilliant beautiful man's slim leather wallet of destiny thanks.

This is perfect for anyone. I used to carry a large bi-fold with cards, cash, ID's, receipts, business cards, stuff that I didn't know was there and I certainly would never need or use again. I didn't most of that. I needed something that is small, could carry my identification, a debit card, and a little cash. This easily accomplishes this. It is perfect for college. I would easily pay double.
